About this property

Rarely open for new bookings: Beach Home Away from Home

Repeat guests have used this home ever Winter for the last 8 years. People who stay here want to return! We require a 1-month minimum rental from (due to zoning laws).

This is our home away from home, so we have tried to do everything we can to make it comfortable. There are things that are important to us and make it home. We hope you will appreciate these things as well: a large round dining room table that seats eight, big enough for everyone to eat together; a well-equipped kitchen, not the usual beach fare with cheap pots and pans; comfortable and inviting pillow top mattresses and high thread count sheets on every bed; luxurious bath and beach towels; a comfortable living room with a 60-inch HD plasma TV; a large lanai that also has an outdoor eating area and grill; and all the things you will need for beach fun--surfboards, chairs, umbrella, ice chest and more.
A unique benefit of this beach home is vast amount of off-street parking for boats, trailers, motorcycles or cars of visiting friends and family. Enjoy full cable TV, and secure broadband and wireless internet. Enjoy the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand after a memory filled day at the beach.

2nd time staying here

This house has everything you need. It is in a great location. Short walk to the beach, restaurants, and stores. We had family over and there was plenty of space to hang out. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall a great stay

We enjoyed our time at the property (one month). The outdoor shower, the grill, the easy straight shot to the ocean and the beach paraphernalia were all fantastic. The landlord was quick to respond to issues and did what he could to address things as they came up. He was good to work with. Bottom line is that we would definitely consider booking again.

Family Fun!

We had an amazing stay! The beach was easily accessible and the bicycles, boogie boards, surf boards, chairs and beach toys made every trip to the shore easy and convenient. The house was just as described and easily suited a family of 8. We cooked at the house most nights but a large variety of restaurants are very close. The owners were very accommodating and even sent messages to ensure all was good. The kids really enjoyed the outside shower and used it exclusively most days. Simply put you cannot go wrong with this rental and we will definitely return! Thank you for welcoming us into your home for a week!

Family Vacation

We stayed a week in the house and had a wonderful time! I would rent the property again and recommend it to friends and family. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They quickly addressed all our questions. The pictures accurately reflect the rental property. Our family consisted of six adults and four children and we all had a place to sleep. The beds were comfortable. The house is clean, well-maintained, tastefully decorated, and we LOVED the dining room table. The appliances, internet, TVs, and Wii worked perfectly. There are several beach items for you to use and a cart for easily transporting things to the beach. The walk to the beach is an easy four minute walk and there is a traffic light for safe crossing. There is a little Tiki bar right there on the beach. I strongly recommend ordering take out from Ocean's Restaurant. It is right around the corner from the house on A1A and so yummy! I say take out because while the food is delicious, the restaurant seating is limited and the dining room table at the house is so great! Riptides in Ormond Beach is fantastic too. Riptides serves all you-can-eat crab legs and other seafood items. That restaurant is about a 30 minute drive and you can call ahead. A few of us went deep sea fishing on the Pastime Princess in New Smyrna Beach. We caught several fish and the scenery was beautiful! I suggest taking a motion sickness medication if you do this activity. We didn't get sick, but even with the medicine we were a little queasy. We also took the Marine Discovery Center scenic boat tour of the Intracoastal and were able to see many dolphins. New Smyrna Beach is a beautiful area of Florida and this house is great place to stay!

Thanks for your review. Glad that you enjoyed being able to seat everyone at the dining room table. When we first decided to buy the home, my wife knew that she wanted a big round table. She was delighted when we found the perfect one, seating eight and with a Lazy Susan in the middle. My family would also recommend the Marine Discovery Center boat tour. Almost guaranteed to see dolphins, manatees and many species of birds. Our last time out we saw our native Roseate Spoonbill. (Google It!) Flamingos are not native to Florida.

Perfect location

It is a perfect location, walking distance to everything. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Bathrooms and showers were great with nice towels. Loved the backyard screened porch and fire pit was a nice addition. Beach bikes were nice and worked great. TV's in every room with lots of stations and ceiling fans were quiet and located everywhere. We would definitely rent this property again.

Home away from Home - at the beach

It was a good week - we enjoyed our stay - especially the kids. Positives: Location, Beach wagon and equipment, outside shower, fire pit, decor, abundance of towels. Negatives: Minor issues with the TV in the smaller bedrooms, and the thermostat, ...clean overall, but not so much under the beds, the couch, and the living room rug. We hope to be back in the future.

Hey Robert, First happy to know that you will be back and staying at Our New Smyrna Beach House again. We try our best to make every stay great and have many repeat guests. Regarding the few things you mentioned. I offered to come over and help you with the TVs which you declined. I have now replaced all the remotes with brand new Google Chromecasts which should be easier for folks to operate. I did not know about an issue with the thermostat until the next guest arrived. Unfortunately you did not let me know about an issue there until two weeks after your stay or I would have made sure it got addressed right away. We have a Nest thermostat so it is easy to operate. As you mentioned to me a local power outage led to an issue with it. Regarding the cleanliness, I have addressed the specific issues you mentioned with our housekeeper. Beautiful home

We loved the home. I would like to let you know that the grill doesn't work very well. Also, as we were packing up we found a dirty pair of underwear behind one of the nightstands. We definitely loved the house and we will be coming back!

So sorry that you had an issue. I will address it with housekeeping thanks for the information about the grill. I will check to see if it is running low on propane. Also, the salt air is brutal on the burners. I replace them every year.

“Home Away From Home”

Scott’s home is in a perfect location from the beach!! Very little traffic short 5 minute walk to the beach. Nice quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors! The fenced in yard is a plus as well as the roomy screen porch at the back of the house! Two beach bikes included with the rental were a huge plus for us!! Thank You for sharing this space🐠🐠🐠

Our stay at the at the home was great, the accommodations was wonderful, we had everything you could ever need to use at our reach. My grandchild had an amazing time with the games, beach toys,and the fire pit was perfect for s'mores. With having a shower outside made it so easy to take care of all the sand from the beach. The children also enjoyed the sleeping accommodation. I would recommend this home for anyone with children we had a wonderful experience and hope to plan another vacation in the near future.

Great Stay

This was a great stay for us. So close to the beach and house has everything you need to have a great day at the beach. We did have to go buy TP and paper towels as that was the one thing the house was lacking. No biggie though, Walgreens was litterally yards away. AC did go out the last day and the owner was very helpful in getting an AC company out ASAP.

Love this house

We spent 3 months in this house and it was perfect. It became our home away from home. Had everything we needed, quite street and great neighbors. A short walk to the beach which is beautiful. There are many great places to eat and the grocery store is around the corner. Pam and Scott the owners are always there if there are any concerns. I would rent this home again in a minute. We were so happy with the house. It was in wonderful condition and everything we needed was there. We had a small issue while there and the owners were so nice and helpful. It is a short walk to the beach and the beach is beautiful. The house is also convenient to shopping and dining. We had our Thanksgiving dinner there with family who live in the area. The table was great for our dinner!

Great week at the beach!

We just wanted to be at the beach for our last week of summer and this house worked perfectly for us. It felt nice and clean and that was really important to us. We have three teenage boys and they were all able to have a friend or two visit while we were there. Everything we needed was at the house, boogie boards, bicycles and the kitchen was well stocked with essentials. The walk to the beach only took 4 minutes and there were restaurants and food shopping nearby. Everything was very convenient and we had a great week. If you do have more than 6 or 7 people at the house, you need to bring your own aero beds, but there is floor space for them. The weather was great the entire week we were there and we had a great time.

Summer vacation

The house was very cute/ nicely decorated. Convenient location. Just a couple of blocks from the beach. They had beach chairs and boogie boards that my son could play on. The a/c wasn't cooling master bedroom to our liking so landlord drove from Orlando to address to address the problem. Great customer service. I hate that we have to go home but back to work and reality. :-)

Great house, so comfortable and well equipped.

We had the house for a week during a surf contest. The house is easy to find, great and quiet location and as close to the beach as described. We were super comfortable in there and it has everything we needed plus more. The owners were really helpful and pleasant to deal with and take pride in their home from home. It really shows. Loads of room indoors and out. Cant recommend it enough.

Our family lives in the Orlando area. New Smyrna Beach has always been a favorite vacation spot for us. Now we are delighted to have a home there and to be able to share it with you.

We understand the importance of time away as a family! We hope you will enjoy Our New Smyrna Beach House house as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

New Smyrna Beach is a special place. It has wide beaches with beautiful white sand. It has some of the best surfing in Florida. It has a quaint shopping/dining area on Flagler Avenue. It is the beach of choice for many people from Orlando. So, of all the east coast beaches, New Smyrna is where we knew we really wanted to be.

For us, it is important that once we get to our beach house that we do not have to get in the car again. One of the reasons that we picked this house because it is walking distance to everything that you need. The beach is a short 4 minute walk down the street. The grocery store and small shopping center with several restaurants is just as close. The Flagler Avenue area is exactly one mile away.

Another aspect of this property that we really like is that the living room, dining room and kitchen are all open. It gives you a nice spacious feel even when you have a group of people there.

Lastly, Pam and I hope to eventually retire here to New Smyrna Beach; we just wish we could do it now!

What makes this property unique

Having vacationed in New Smyrna Beach for many years, we have experienced the vacation rental scene. Many places left a lot to be desired. And there were things we wanted to make sure our guests did not have to 'experience.'

We wanted nice comfortable beds that were as easy or better to sleep on than the ones at home. Good sheets, it amazing the difference that they make. We want luxury hotel quality bath towels, not ones that were threadbare. We wanted a kitchen that you could actually use. Appliances that were up to date and functional. Pots and pans that did not feel like they were bought at the dollar store. A table to eat at where the whole family could sit together. Most places we rented only had four chairs. And lots of parking. When we are at the beach, we like for our friends to come over and play as well. That means they need a place to park too.

We never used to be able to ride our bikes at the beach because we never had room to take them. The minivan would be full of beach toys, boogie boards, surfboards, umbrella, towels and more. Now, everything is already there for our (and your enjoyment): Large and soft beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, body boards, surf boards, bikes, rods & reels and tackle for surf fishing (that another think we never had room for). We have a blast with all this stuff and know that you will too.

We have tried to make staying at Our New Smyrna Beach House an exceptional experience. Our only problem is every time we go, we never want to leave!
