A charming, lovingly furnished apartment with a balcony that sleeps 2–4 people. Spread over two levels, the approximately 48 m² of space ensures everyone has their own space to relax and enjoy themselves.
On Level 1, you’ll find the rustic-modern, fully furnished living area with a kitchen, a beautiful balcony, and our fantastic bathroom with an XXL shower.
On the second level, the open, cosy sleeping area with a double bed and an additional pull-out bed invites you to dream. 

The apartments are fully equipped; towels and linens are included.
Our younger guests are welcome to let off steam in our green surroundings while playing with the various options available

Burgbichl Apartments Rothenturn—Your starting point for nature, activity, and relaxation. The Burgbichl is a small, wooded ridge above the village of Rothenturn in Carinthia —a place that wonderfully combines tranquility, nature, and outdoor activities. Here you’ll find shady forests, breathtaking views of the Drau Valley, leisurely trails, and plenty of recreational opportunities—all just a few minutes from Lake Millstatt.
The Mediterranean-style town of Spittal an der Drau is just a few minutes’ drive away and offers plenty of entertainment options.Whether it’s a leisurely stroll through town, cultural experiences like a visit to Porcia Castle, or an evening stroll in the summer—it’s simply beautiful!

About Us A warm “Griestenk!” from us here at Burgbichl! We, Melanie and Daniel Aufderklamm, made our dream come true in 2017 when we purchased this little estate at Burgbichl. Together with our two boys, Mike (8) and Manuel (7), and our parents, Elisabeth and Roland, we’ve poured a lot of love, sweat, and hard work into our little kingdom. But today, all that work has paid off, and we’re all the happier to welcome you here.
What Awaits You at Burgbichl Lovingly furnished and fully equipped new-construction apartments in the former barn, with a rustic-modern ambiance. Our younger guests will never be bored thanks to the large lawn for playing football, badminton,bocce, table tennis, foosball, darts, or building an amazing castle in the sandpit. 
Nature & Relaxation:
The gently wooded hill invites you to take a walk, relax, and breathe deeply. The trails are short, family-friendly, and lead through quiet wooded areas up to the open hilltop with a view of the valley.
Active Adventures:
If you’re looking for a bit more activity, you’ll find a small climbing area near Burgbichl with over 20 routes as well as two easy via ferratas—ideal for beginners, children, and the curious.
Biking & Mountain Biking:
Thanks to its proximity to the Drau Cycle Path and many forest roads, Burgbichl is a great stop or starting point for leisurely bike rides and short MTB loops.
️ Swimming in Lake Millstatt:
Just a few minutes away lies the crystal-clear Lake Millstatt—perfect for swimming, water skiing, stand-up paddleboarding, or simply relaxing by the water—or taking a boat tour with the Lake Millstatt fleet.
Hiking tours in the area The Burgbichl itself is suitable for shorter walks and loop trails, but above all, it’s an ideal starting point for hikes into the surrounding mountains. Here are a few suggestions:

• Hike to the Millstätter Hütte (1,880 m):
A varied day hike with panoramic views of the lake and the Nockberge Mountains. Start, for example, from nearby Sappl or from the lake’s southern shore.

• Goldeck–Spitzwand–Panorama Hike:
Just a few kilometres to the west, accessible by cable car from Spittal—where a high-altitude hike begins, offering fantastic views of the Drau Valley and Lake Weissensee.The Goldeck is a family-friendly hiking area that also has plenty to offer younger visitors.

• Lammersdorfer Alm – Granattor Loop Hike:
This scenic tour above Lake Millstatt delights with spectacular photo spots, rolling alpine pastures, and great places to stop for a bite to eat.

• Nockberge Trail (multi-stage hike):
For those who prefer longer hikes: The surrounding rolling Nockberge Mountains offer a long-distance hiking experience—all just a short distance from Rothenthurn.

On-site costs: • The room rate includes the “Millstätter See Inclusive Card,” which provides access to up to 40 free holiday attractions: • Free admission to the most beautiful beach resorts • Free access via three alpine roads to the Millstätter Alpe • Participation in numerous sports and family programmes • Free train rides • Discounted rides on the Nockmobil and public transport • We offer our guests free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. If we are unable to re-rent the apartments, we will charge 70% of the total amount thereafter. A deposit of 30% is due within 5 days of booking. The balance is due via bank transfer 14 days before arrival. • House rules and additional information about the accommodation: • Pets are allowed upon request • No parties or events are permitted.



Check-in is from 3:00 to 20:00, and check-out is from 08:00 to 10:00.
