With windows from the floor to the ceiling in the great room, you will see why so many people come back to Applewood time and time again. You will be able to see the Sundance slopes while you sit on the sun kissed deck of the master bedroom. You can hit the slopes, lose yourself at the spa, or dine in comfort at the resort after a less than a five-minute walk on a lit path. If you would like to stay in and cook, you will find a fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances you need to make a delicious meal for your friends and family. The dining area, and great room are wonderful for entertaining. The large deck off of the main room are perfect for barbecues or just relaxing in the picturesque scenery.
This cabin has wifi, and is equipped with two flat screen TV's with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Prime Video and sound systems in main areas. There is also a flat screen with Roku in the master bedroom.
You can also enjoy the spa room, with full windows that open up to the quiet serenity of the Timpanogos mountains.

My family had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was a spectactular building and a perfect place for a large gathering! It was also an easy walk down to the resorts restaurants and our favorite, the Owl bar. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful place!

Our family had a great time at this house! It was perfect for our group of ten people. Beautifully decorated for the holidays with Christmas tree and garland down the stairs. Great supply of firewood and plenty of kitchen and bathroom supplies. Plenty of parking for our three vehicles but could fit more. Great views of Sundance ski resort and mountains and trees and wildlife. Fans and heaters were available and used! When an emergency maintenance issue came up, it was handled immediately late into Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with no inconvenience to us. Mario was great, so helpful and very responsive for the owners. Would definitely stay here again!

Cabin is just as pictured and described. Gorgeous communal areas with views. Everything you need from pans, spices and cooking utensils to shampoo, conditioner and towels. Feels like a home away from home. The game area and Hot-tub was great - just monitor temperature as it gets very hot if set on high! Great location just above Sundance resort. Short drive to Stewart falls and Mt Timp hiking and biking trials. Would be great location for skiing if there was snow! We had a great family trip for Thanksgiving with a group of all ages. Highly Recommend!

The home itself is beautiful, with gorgeous views, and it’s well stocked with necessities. However, the lack of air conditioning—which was not disclosed—is a major issue. With the large windows, the house heats up like an oven. The house reached 75 degrees by noon and got hotter as the afternoon went on. At a balmy 79 degrees, sleeping was nearly impossible despite minimal clothing, no covers, and multiple fans. It didn’t start cooling down until around 2am, leading to rough all-nighters and dragging days. I can only imagine how hot it gets in the summer, especially since our stay was in mid-March. It was not a restful stay.Opening doors and windows throughout the home wasn’t a viable option for us due to safety needs with our special needs son. Even when I was able to open a couple of doors while supervising, it didn’t make a meaningful difference in the heat.I had assumed AC was standard—right along with power and water—but now I know to double check. I haven’t ever had this issue before, and we stay in the area biannually. The lack of air conditioning was not clear to me at all, and I don’t want other busy moms and families to struggle like we did. Staying here would be best during the very coldest months.

Overall the property is very nice, we stayed in June and found it hard to cool the bedrooms off even though it was cool overnight because most windows dont open, and very few that did open had screens on them.

Great location and home for big groups.

The kitchen and house was well stocked. There is no air conditioning, which I didn't realize till we got there. It cooled off at night and was comfortable most of the time, except on the nights that it didn't cool off much. The house itself was great for our group, and we loved the outside fireplace and the deck. The views were incredible from everywhere in the house. I wouldn't recommend for young children/toddlers for safety reasons, but it was great for older kids.

Always a favorite stay!

The Applewood House is one of the most beautiful locations in Sundance. It’s a short walk to the Spa and hub of services. My dear friends and yoga enthusiasts loved opening our arms on the deck each morning to the beautiful sunrise. All of the cutlery and dishes have been upgraded and each room equipped with fans. It was a warm week!

We met while attending University in Utah over 40 years ago. We fell in love with this magical place and all that it has to offer year round. We have lived all over the world but chose to get a cabin in this amazing canyon because it is simply unrivaled.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to have a place large enough to fit our fairly large family or a group of our friends. The views of the resort were also a big deal to us. We also feel very lucky to be the closest privatley owned cabin to the resort.

What makes this property unique

Huge decks on main level, and second level let you BBQ, soak up the sun, star gaze and enjoy the beautiful scene around you. The resort is a quick 5-6 minute walk all day long for restaurants, drinks at the Owl Bar, with many other activities year round!
