Pros:
- Spacious apartment on a beautiful location with nice and semi-private back garden
- Very quiet neighbourhood and very nice and respectful neighbours (the people we met on this island in general were always very kind and respectful!)
- We asked for extra towels halfway through the week and these were delivered the same day
- Bedroom window could be blacked out 100% which was amazing
- Nice oven in the kitchen that works very well
- The people letting this apartment were very kind and helped us quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out one morning
- Bike shed is very large and could fit our tandem bike easily
- Some windows (including bedroom) had a bug net on them
Cons:
- No supermarket close by (1hr walk or 20mins bike ride to Bergen), make sure you have some food with you when you arrive!
- Very hard tap water and no water filter present, we had to keep buying water from the supermarket (the kettle was spotless, though)
- Very limited cleaning supplies present in the apartment. Since we had a longer stay it would have been nice to be able to clean once or twice, but there was only one kitchen towel and one dish cloth that got used and dirty pretty quickly, and no all-purpose cleaner (or something similar). Would have been nice to have that :)
- One of the mattresses is not flat, but gets higher towards the middle of the bed (?)
- The shower curtain is a bit strange and does not keep all the water in
Overall, the apartment was exactly as listed and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Definitely thinking of coming back with family. Will then bring a water filter and some cleaning supplies so we can enjoy it even more. If you visit this beautiful island, these apartments are a great place to stay!
