My husband and I went for a awesome weekend and stayed in the tiny house on the property. We woke up to their sweet horses Cher and Breeze saying hello. We fished every day, ate outside every meal, did skeet shooting and archery. The owners made us a delicious anniversary T-bone steak dinner perfectly cooked to order and did special small decorations to make the trip special and romantic for us. We wish we could have stayed one more night. Highly recommend for a unplugged getaway.

The property on the inside of the building they turned into a cottage was beautiful, the deck was amazing and the couch very comfy. But when you turn the shower on it smells like septic. There was no hiking trails in the woods that we could find. Fishing was great and what they don't tell you in the description of the property is that your "cottage"

We're sorry you felt that way. It is our goal to make sure every guest enjoy their stay. It's concerning you rented for 2 days and stayed 12 hours and stating in your text to us, you were leaving because you did not realize a property manager was on site ??? We did smell you were smoking marijuana. (Maybe that was your concern). You did not indicate any issue to the on-site property manager of what you wrote in your review . Meaning you didn't go there to enjoy your vacation you came to write a bad review :( If you would have we would have told you it's not septic, it's a filtered spring well. There is a egg smell until you let the water run a little bit.
Unfortunately, when you reserved the tiny house you indicated 2 guest but actually showed up with 3 guest.
NO place for your 3rd guest to sleep.
One word of advice when renting a TINY house be sure to give the accurate amount of guest so that the property manager can make sure that you enjoy and are comfortable during your stay. Also, be sure to voice any concerns you may have so that we may help correct you. (Smell). Take care
My wife and I stayed at Happy Place on a whim to getaway from city life in New Orleans. We weren't prepared for just how relaxing it would be! The local grocery store (20min drive) had everything we needed to grill out some food and have snacks/drinks for the duration of our stay. I saw some people complaining about the water smell. It isn't that bad at all. We brought a pack of spring water, since that's all we drink at home anyway, and had no issues bathing and washing dishes. For anyone expecting the Hilton, go elsewhere. This is not a fancy hotel. If you come wanting a peaceful time away from your routines, this is the place for you.

The home was not in rentable condition. It was moldy, extremely dirty, dangerous, and cold.
MAJOR COMPLAINTS:
Fire-Trap -
• Stuck Bedroom windows – blocked only egress in Bedroom in case of Fire
• Old appliances, including plastic space Heater
• Exposed wires in wall
• Electrical plugs detached from wall
• Piles of Old Junk blocking breaker panel
Extremely unsafe and dangerous -
• Dangerous home-made staircase (the staircase was a nice look, but made with split round logs of different step heights and sizes attached at round part vs. flat surface)
• Handrail too close to the wall to grasp so uneven staircase is even more dangerous without a way to hold on
Mold Throughout
• Immediate Musty Smell and Evidence of Mold throughout (I’ve had lung cancer – exposure to any kind of mold puts me at risk)
• Physical evidence of mold in the bathrooms: sinks, shower and shower curtains.
Dirty and Run Down/Absent of Basic Maintenance -
• Disgusting bathroom and bathroom fixtures (dirty, even after considering iron in water)
• Piles of junk in the laundry room
• Exterior Litter
No Basic Amenities –
• No closet!! – 2 hangers left outside of closet for clothes
• Run-down dirty appliances – toaster, microwave
• Heat supplied by inadequate and old space heaters
• Water pump not working during night of stay

I'm sorry to hear your complaints. Aa I greated you during checkin and you asked to do a walk through with the cabin and had no issues. You also asked if we had an elevator as you knees hurt along with asking us to fetch food for you. not sure wha
This was a great get away. The property was wonderful. A beautiful bass pond, walking trails, and lots of fresh air!
The cabin was very comfortable and cooking was not difficult. Communication with the host and property manager was excellent. Gary, the property manager, was wonderful. He was there to help everytime we needed something but never intrusive. He just appeared when needed! He made everything extra nice.
I was looking for a quiet place in a natural setting, and this fit the bill. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, the horses came right up to me on my morning walks, and the views from the patio were gorgeous. This is a tiny place—I wouldn’t try to fit more than two people—but it did have nice amenities. Be forewarned that the TV, Wi-Fi and cell service are wonky, which can be great if you want an escape.
My husband and I needed a second honeymooon to spend time together and reconnect!
There is a paddle boat and the tiny house was amazing 🤩 we are going back every year to come!
