Great experience with Ventnor rental

The rental was immaculate and as advertised. The landlady was amazingly responsive on the few issues we had, fixed things right away and even followed up on a charger we had left behind before we realized it was missing. Porch and views are a real plus.

A lovely stay

This was a good solution for our family. Being on the canal side at Ventnor meant it’s a few blocks walk to the beach but also there’s a lovely large deck overlooking the canal with beautiful sunsets, tributaries, & boats driving by. The bedrooms were good-sized with ample closet space. Some items needed attention around supplies and the owner took care of this. The kayaks were enjoyable and appreciated. Beach cart was handy. The location was terrific. Everyone had a terrific time. :)

My wife and I had a terrific time at this location. Great views from the balcony, great space overall. Brought our Minature Schnauzer and she was at home right away. The grill had not been cleaned in a long time, descided not to use after trying to clean it. Dish soap was empty, but they had pods for the dishwasher. The door lock to the unit has to be pulled after typing the code, otherwise it doesn't unlock. Just needs to be adjusted. All the filters for the AC window units said needed to be reset/cleaned. Noticed the air was not that cold, they should be changed so they can work properly, especislly since it is a 2nd floor unit and heat rises. Barbara was really nice and easy to get in touch with. I would definitely come back and recommend the location, and Barbara.

Beautiful view!

We had a great vacation. My grandchildren fished, went kayaking, crabbing, swimming and walked to the beach. Great restaurants. Our host, Barbara, was so nice and accommodating. See you next summer.

Amazing Property With Amazing Views!

Barbara was a terrific host. We never waited more than 5 minutes to any questions that came up. Her house is perfectly located and has a second story deck overlooking the intercoastal with amazing sunset views. The bedrooms are at the front of the house, the deck is in the back, so when we stayed up late looking at the stars, we never bothered the people who went to sleep early. She's got kayaks and bikes and beach chairs for playtime. The home is 3 blocks to the beach and boardwalk. Our group of 4 adult siblings and their spouses had plenty of space. This was an ideal rental with a very responsive host.

Great view

The view is amazing. Being right on the bay and having access to kayaks, crab traps, bikes, etc was a great plus to our vacation. Barbara was a nice host and was responsive when we had questions. Overall it is an okay house. Very outdated decor and basically everything was creaky. The kitchen was missing some cooking supplies which made cooking a little chaotic. The quilts were old and some had holes. The AC in the living room is SO loud and you cant hear the tv and dont try to do laundry at the same time because then its coming from both ends. If the home didnt have the view, i wouldnt have rented it. We stayed on the deck 90% of the time.

I am sorry to hear you were not 100% satisfied. I would have been more than happy to replace unsatisfactory items had I be notified. The I did replace the AC unit with a brand new one when it was brought to my attention before the end of the season. The comforters get washed after every guest and placed every year of need be. Please if you could let me know what was missing from the kitchen I do not have a problem adding to the inventory.

Such a beautiful view!

After not seeing family for a year and a half, this was a perfect vacation for us. We are two families of 4, so 4 adult parents and 4 "adult" children. There was plenty of space for everyone. The beds were comfy. The place was clean. But really the absolutely best part is the back deck on the bay. We were out there constantly for a week. The kayaks and bikes, etc. are a great bonus. It was really just fantastic.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at Barbara's property. One thing to note before I go on: the unit is a second floor property (the first floor is a separate one that was occupied by others). This wasn't clear to me at least, I'm mentioning it here so others can have better expectations coming in. Overall, we had a great stay. The deck with the water view was probably the highlight for us. We added lights and enjoyed hanging out the nights we stayed there. Property was very clean and a short walk away from the beach. We went just before high season so we had a reasonable price, and Barbara extended our checkout to 12pm which we are grateful for. Would very much stay again.

“Get out of my house”

Hey, So we rented this property for a friends get together. So few things wrong about this apartment. 1. Bathroom door doesn’t close 2. Internet didn’t work 3. Door keypad doesn’t work all the time. 4. Ac didn’t work at night We were supposed to check out by 10 AM on a Sunday but we had a late night and reached the property at 3:30 AM but we couldn’t enter till 6:20 AM as the keypad didn’t work, with constantly getting a timeout error. Due to which we woke up late. At 11:00 owner of the property rudely came in shouting get out my house. There’s no thing called privacy, owner directly came into our bedrooms. She didn’t even let us explain our situation. She could have hear us out and be more civil and more accommodating. One of my friends had to stay back due to a late night. While he was asleep the owner came in and threw a pillow at him to wake up which was unprofessional and rude. As she was rude she didn’t even let us clean the property. “Get out of my house” “You guys are a disgrace” These are the exact words the owner said One more thing, I don’t know if this can be blamed on the apartment but when my car was parked outside, someone kicked it on the side and broke my side railing below the door. Overall there were a lot of issues with apartment but due to the locality it was a good one but the checkout experience and other problems made our stay extremely unpleasant. We are 100% unsatisfied with the rental. Thanks, Gaurav

Please read my many other reviews and then my response. Yes, I was rude, to start off I had zero response from any communication I attempted with these guests, they did not contact me with any of the issues mentioned here. I was aware the wifi was not working via my downstairs guests. They did not respond to my VRBO communication or text the power booster the cable company supplies had become unplugged, all they needed to do was plug it back in. The guests had my cell number and never made me aware of any of the issues mentioned here. 2. They brought many more people then they booked, violating the maximum capacity of the unit putting me at risk of loosing my rental license. 3. The 10 AM check out is clearly posted on VRBO and in the rules posted in the in the unit. Upon request often a later check out can be arranged in the off season. There was no request ever made. My cleaning girl had arrived twice to realize the guests where still there. I messaged, called and texted them in an effort to find out why they hadn't checked out yet. I did not even get the courtesy of a response. It was on her 3rd attempt ... 11:30 I arrived with her had to vocally demand the house be immediately vacated. I was disgusted by what I saw. There were people sleeping on the floors, 4 people in a room meant for two and people everywhere I looked. It appeared someone had taken down a window curtain to use as a blanket. There was debris ranging from chocolate cake to half empty spilt beer covering every surface in the unit. There was chocolate cake on the walls and the sofa. YES I WAS RUDE. MY RULES AND MY PROPERTY HAD BEEN VIOLATED. I had to have two additional people come in for and hour and a half in order to assure the property would be ready in time for the next guest. In my 10 years of renting I have never had such a upsetting experience.

Comfortable 2nd Floor Home

Six buddies and I stayed at the home as a base for a three night, four day golf trip. Played some excellent courses in Atlantic County New Jersey. All were within 30 minutes of the home, House was fully equipped. Bedrooms very comfortable. Kitchen was utilized to its fullest with breakfast and dinner being prepared all three days of our stay. The waterfront Deck w a view of Atlantic City was a nice feature.

Perfect getaway!

The renting experience for this apartment was very smooth thanks to the owner, Barbara who was available on the phone all the time, even late at night. The house had enough space for our party of 7 including two 5 year olds. The common areas were spacious including the fully-equipped kitchen and dining (8-seater) area. The highlight of the house is the amazing deck with a view of the bay. When not at the beach, one can use the kayaks kept in the shed or jump right into the bay water for a swim. There are enough life jackets to keep everyone safe! All in all we had a great time.

1st Family Vacation

This home was perfect for our family vacation of 10 people. The rooms were set up perfectly for our 3 small families. The house was clean, came with linens, bath towels, beach towels, and much more. The side yard and bay access were amazing! The beach was close enough that the younger children didn't even complain. Barb was very responsive and super nice. The location was perfect! We will be back!

The house was wonderful especially the porch overlooking the bay and the "Tiki Bar" which the men in our family loved. If we had a problem with anything, Barb was right there to fix it. We walked the 3 short blocks to the ocean everyday and spent considerable time on the Boardwalk. Of course, the weather being perfect helped a lot too. The only thing I would do differently, would to have our family or friends rent the lower flat too. I thought we had the whole house. I guess I didn't realize that when I rented it.

As a chemistry teacher at Atlantic City High School, I am able to spend my summers hosting my guests, making sure everyone has a wonderful vacation and all goes as planned. I enjoy all aspects of being a vacation rental property owner form the spring spruce ups to meeting all of my wonderful guest every summer. I take pride in my 5 star reviews and strive to make sure all my guest have a 5 star stay! I was born and raised in NYC during the 60's and 70's, most of my growing up years were spent at eh Jersey Shore. Every weekend and for the summer my family madde 125 mile drive down the Garden State Parkway to a little town that very few New Yorkers had ever heard of back then, Margate NJ. It was during those years I fell in love with living on a island, walking to the beach, boating, crabbing, fishing and waterskiing, not to mention the smell of the air.
I moved to Margate shortly after high school and have been a resident of either Ventnor of Margate ever since. My two beautiful daughters grew up swimming, diving, kayaking, crabbing on the bay, right where you''ll be staying. They are both spend their summers as lifeguards on our local beaches and aree studying to be teachers.
I would love to welcome you to my fun filled vacation paradise, and share with you my love for the Jersey Shore!!!
