A healthy getaway in nature—right in the heart of the Soonwald! Away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and nestled in the heart of this majestic forest lies our romantic log cabin.
Through the large windows, you can enjoy views of the lush greenery from every angle. Here, you can recharge with the power of nature. Completely CO2-free! Heat and hot water come from state-of-the-art renewable energy sources.
The house is directly connected to the magnificent Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park and its many well-marked hiking trails.
The Accommodation
The apartment features a large living room on the ground floor with an open kitchen, dining area, and sunroom; the first bedroom is also on the ground floor and has two floor-to-ceiling French doors that open directly onto the outdoors. Across from it is the bathroom with a shower.
The large master bedroom on the upper floor features a workspace and a cosy sitting area. From the bed, you can look out onto the forest through the floor-to-ceiling windows as soon as you wake up. Upstairs, there are two additional spacious bedrooms with windows overlooking the greenery; the bathroom with a bathtub is also located here.
From the ground floor, you can step directly outside into the front yard of the house from anywhere, and from there, continue straight into the forest. There is a seating area in front of the house for cosy get-togethers. Thanks to the thick wooden beams, the house stays pleasantly cool even during hot summers.
Guest Access
You’ll have exclusive use of the entire property.
Additional Important Information
What do our guests love about staying with us? Enjoying peace and nature, right in the heart of the Soonwald. From the house, you can access the numerous, well-marked hiking trails of the Soonwald-Nahe Nature Park directly, without needing a car. It’s a paradise here, especially for children: no cars and plenty of opportunities to play in nature.
Barbecues:
Important note for all barbecue lovers: Unfortunately, barbecuing is prohibited at the Waldhaus. This is partly for fire safety reasons. Especially during the dry summer months, this is to prevent the risk of forest fires. Furthermore, the house is located in the middle of the forest, and we don’t want to disturb the wildlife too much. The good news: The open kitchen is on the ground floor. From there, you can step right outside the house through the large doors. So we recommend preparing everything in the kitchen and eating outside at the table. It’s also very cosy :)
Children:
We’re happy to provide a travel cot, changing table, high chair, and stroller (the Moon Flac) for 10 euros per day each.
Dogs:
We’re also happy to welcome your dog. We charge 10 euros per day per dog.
Bedding and Towels:
We also provide bedding and towels for an additional fee per stay (5 euros per person). Alternatively, you can bring your own linens.
