Modern, family-friendly house in a quiet location with a large sun terrace

This light-filled house with a spacious, open gable roof is situated in a quiet location in the Großherrischwand district, surrounded by meadows and forests at an elevation of 920 m, offering views of the Alps on clear days. An ideal starting point for a wide variety of activities—or simply for peace and relaxation.
If you want to experience the vastness, the freedom, and the light—both in the natural world outside and within—our house, with its large studio space, offers you the opportunity to do just that. The studio offers space for a wide range of ways of BEING: a holiday for relaxation, exercise, play, dance, meditation, or music—or it can simply be used as a spacious living area. The concealable mirrored wall opposite the large window front, which overlooks the vast expanse of nature, makes the room feel boundless.
The unfenced property flows seamlessly from the terrace through the garden into the vastness of the surrounding meadows and forests, allowing you to feel the freedom and tranquility of nature.
The house (150 m²) with its spacious studio offers a wide range of uses for families, groups, couples, or even singles. It sleeps five people. For small children, we provide a travel cot and a high chair. Upon request, additional sleeping arrangements on mattresses can be arranged for more guests.
The entire house is wheelchair accessible. It features two bathrooms with showers.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you’d normally need in a kitchen, including a coffee maker, teapot, electric kettle, toaster, blender, plenty of pots, pans, and bowls, as well as dish soap, dishwasher tablets, towels, sponges, trash bags, various spices, sugar, salt, and coffee filters.
A small grill for the garden is also available. Grilling is permitted exclusively at the designated grill area on the lawn in front of the patio.

Herrischried, with its healthy mountain and forest air, is a climatic health resort. The visitor’s tax is €2 for adults and €1 for children per day and must be paid to me in exact change on the day of arrival. I will forward the fee to the tourist office upon registration. You will receive a guest card offering various local discounts.
Right on site, you’ll find yourself in the forest with many hiking trails and beautiful meadows. The Murg Valley Trail runs right past our front door. In the summer, swimming lakes of all sizes in the surrounding area and outdoor pools provide a refreshing escape.
Two kilometres from the house, in the centre of Herrischried, you’ll find various restaurants serving regional, Italian, or Greek cuisine. Shopping options such as a bakery, an Edeka supermarket, and even an organic supermarket in the neighbouring town are also available.
The ice rink in Herrischried, which includes a swimming pool, is also popular in winter. The cross-country ski trail is located directly below the house. Ski lifts are available in Herrischried. In the summer, the mini-golf course, basketball and volleyball courts, and the beautiful children’s playground at Stehlesee—featuring a barefoot trail, fitness trail, water treading pool, and sun loungers—offer plenty of variety.
Many attractions, such as the new suspension bridge in Todtnau, the Tittisee water park, the Schluchsee, the waterfalls in Menzenschwand, Todtmoos, and Todtnau, as well as premium hiking trails—including the Hochtal Steig, Albsteig, Hotzenpfad, and Lebküchleweg, as well as tours of the charming old towns along the Upper Rhine, such as Bad Säckingen, Laufenburg, and Waldshut, and much more—all within a short drive. Freiburg and Basel are about an hour’s drive away. The Wutach and Gauchach Gorges are also popular destinations. The Swiss border on the Upper Rhine is only about 25 minutes away.
