My wife and myself greatly enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage. Dinault is a lovely village, with an excellent bakers around the corner and the village shop is well stocked. The location is brillient for exploring the Crozon peninsula as well as visiting the nearby towns.

Great family holiday
We're a family of five that spent two really enjoyable two weeks at the gite.
What makes the gite stand out for us was its location. It's at the centre of a large village, with a good value and well used bakery one minute's walk away and tennis courts and a park five minutes away. The village in the hilly Brittany countryside, giving a range of outdoors activities to do including walking and cycling. It's 10 minutes from a large supermarket. It's then 15 minutes to a genuinely great stretch of beach, and an extra five minutes' drive to two other beaches. The village also isn't filled just with holiday makers, giving it an authentic French feel.
The gite itself was also well equipped and cozy. It was also great to have access to bikes and beach equipment - this made a real difference. The owner was also very friendly and helpful.
We'd very much recommend the gite to others - it's a great value gite in a great location.

Einfache Unterkunft ohne brauchbares WLAN

Lovely village everything within 2 minutes walk
A huge thank you to Stephen and Melanie the holiday home was just as described.
The village with its local produce, wine bar and the boulangerie which is next door to the gite is an absolute must.
The bread which is baked fresh each morning, with it being next door the fresh smell is an absolute treat, I lovely experience only found in France.
We would rise early in the morning collect some fresh bread and have a coffee in the coffee shop which again it literately next door.
The house was very clean and cosy and very well equipped we even took advantage of the mountain bikes in the garage.
We are booking again next year and we will tell all our friends about you and your lovely home.

Delightful Cottage!
I stayed here with my new wife at the beginning of our honeymoon! Exactly what we were after! Nice quiet place to spend a bit of quality time together after the hectic run-up to the wedding. Set in an extremely quaint french village with everything you require for your stay. The wine bar was nice and there was a lovely little bakers for fresh bread every morning! We'll never forget our stay here and would like to thank Stephen and Melanie for their hospitality and great welcome pack!

Excellent location and very quiet
The location was perfect and the house was quite charming and exactly what we needed for our family vacation. The caretakers were very nice and the neighbours extremely friendly. Stephen & Melanie were very helpful - setting everything up turned out to be easy, even from 4000 miles away!

Dineault - great spot
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dineault Cottage which was perfectly positioned in the delightful village of Dineault, close to some fabulous beaches and the charismatic town of Chateaulin. Dineault had a good bar/cafe, grocery shop and patisserie. The larger town with numerous restaurants and supermarkets of Chateaulin was within 5-10 minutes and the most fabulous hard sand, no stones extensive beach of Pentrez Plage was also within a 10 min. drive. Excellent spot for touring the wonderful countryside of Brittany - very central. Very good value. Thank you.

2nd VISIT!
2nd fantastic holiday had to let you all know.......having been before and since meeting the love of my life and deciding to propose i was thinking like any other hopless romantic of the ideal setting to get down on 1 knee........and remembered about my time spent at this perfectly sized and placed cottage in Dinault, Brittany.
mid-20's couples looking to spend some time alone just after a hectic Xmas and before the blues of going back to work. for some relaxation therapy.
The was once again spotless and as picturesque as i remembered.
4 nights just wasnt enough. The weather was better than at home, but ew didnt visit the beaches, instead got a little more adventureous and used the local train station to visit other nearby villages and small towns
That log fire became a distant memory but on arrival knew it was the perfect scene after a lovely home cooked meal to 'pop the question'.
Big thanks again to Stephen and Melanie you may just get an invite as SHE SAID YES!!!!!

A lovely week
I've just returned from a week's holiday staying in this cottage with my husband and three children. We were very happy with our choice, certainly much better than the cramped caravan we stayed in last year in France. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable, and it was great to have the bakery and grocery so close by. The bar owner was very friendly too.
Dineault is an excellent base for exploring the area. It only takes 10 minutes to drive to Chateaulin, which has some nice restaurants. We recommend the Ty Glaz creperie, which is on the right side of the road just before you get to Chateaulin. The beaches are lovely - we were slightly put off at the sight of washed up jellyfish on some beaches, but we spent plenty of time swimming, snorkelling and body boarding in the sea and didn't encounter any live ones. Favourite beach - Pentrez, one of the Douarnenez beaches was good for snorkelling, and you can hire a kayak at Morgat beach and paddle around the bay.
All in all a lovely holiday with comfortable accommodation.

Hello Sue
That's great news and thanks for all the information regarding the beaches.
I try to get my husband to Ty Glaz creperie as much as I can but he's not got a sweet tooth like me.
Everyone comments on Dineault being a great base and they all love the bakery, the smell of fresh bread every day at your door step you can't beat it.
Once again many thanks Melanie & Stephen.

France Holiday
I would like to take this opportunity to comment on how much my husband and myself enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage last August.
The place was exactly what we were looking for with plenty to do all the time we were there. There is a great beach just a short distance away and plenty of nice walks to take in the local culture. There is a friendly bar, shop and bakery virtually in the same street. Just a few miles away in Chataulin we tried many restaurants and we were not dissapointed, with the chinese being one of our favourites. We got the train to Brest and spent the whole day walking around the shops. We were a little worried as our french is quite limited but we got by more than ok. I would just like to thank Stephen and Melanie again for our fantastic two weeks in the sunshine, we will be returning again and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent Stay Again!!!
We would just like to leave a short note again regarding our stay in this lovely little cottage in October 2009! Myself and my fiance returned due to our very pleasant stay last year and we were not dissappointed this year either!! There have been many improvements locally with a new children's area including a 5 a side pitch, basketball area and park for the children and the new wine bar with its extremely hospitable landlord and patrons for the adults!! The local area to me is just getting better and better!! We would again like to express our gratitude to Stephen and Melanie for affording us another excellent stay in their cottage! We're really glad we found this place and we will definitely visit in 2010!!

Perfection - Brittany
Perfect little cottage located in the village of Dinault > Brittany.
2 male adults looking to relax and take in some new culture, enjoy some nice food and some quiet drinks.
The cottage was immaculate and had more than everything we needed for the week long stay. The beds were very comfy and there was ample storage.
We were there in April and the weather was very pleasant. We hired a car and bought a local map and visited the gorgeous nearby beaches.
The cottage caters easily for quite large families even those with young children. A fully equipped kitchen with a huge supermarket close by enabled us to cook some very nice meals ourselves.
A further alternative would be for a couple looking for a romantic getaway the huge log fire would really set the mood.
This I think would be the perfect opportunity to thank Stephen and Melanie and ill be in touch to make the necessary arrangements for next year very soon.

A week in Brittany
My wife and I spent a very good week in this cottage.
It is in a beautiful little village with a bakers and a pub only yards away.Close to a big town,Chateaulin, and within easy reach of beautiful beaches.
The cottage itself is of a good standard with everything provided including bicycles(not very flat around about so you need to be fit). The rooms are reasonably spacious and the general decor is good.
To be critical - the area at the back is probably not big enough but thats a minor point
Response from VrboOwner on 29 Mar 2020
Thanks glad you enjoyed your stay, I will let Melanie know.
About the host
Hosted by ste yates
My husband I bought this cosy little cottage when we got married as we adore France.
Why they chose this property
This property was ideal for families and as we intended on starting our own soon it seemed perfect. Above is a picture of our dream, this is me and my two daughters now 7 and 3 years old. We are at our favourite picnic spot just a couple a miles from the cottage.
What makes this property unique
Its lovely and quite and safe in the village for the children with so many things to do and different places to go each day. Its a place to just go and have fun and explore.
