About this property
Illumination Ridge: westside modern luxury home; stunning views; walk into town.
Private, peaceful, luxurious and super clean getaway oasis set on 6 acres on top of a secluded bucolic ridge yet only a few minutes to downtown, is the perfect marriage of clean modern luxurious style with eclectic cool sensibilities. Come experience this slice of heaven.
Open the door to this stylish home and behold a chandelier of luminous handblown glass orbs illuminating over an open and airy entertainer's paradise home. A home renovated with sleek zinc counter tops and hip designer stones, balanced with touches of hand-stained wine bottle pallets from the Herman Story Winery and other unique reclaimed rustic wood.
Gather with your family or friends in the beautiful open living area: Lounge on the comfortable RH sofa while watching Roku TV on the big screen TV embedded in the lime stones over the fireplace; Hang out on sleek bar chairs next to the cool zinc counters in the open and fully stocked kitchen while you chat with the chef of your party, who might want to whip up a tasty morsel using the powerful 6-burner range; Lounge at the oversized rustic wooden RH dining table built for 12; Grab a glass from the most beautiful bar you will encounter in Paso; Oh, and, unwind!
Choose your bedroom from two oversized master suites or a chic third bedroom, decorated with luxurious pillow-top designer beds and each with its own bathrooms. Check out the sleek bathrooms with cool tiles and rustic wood, stocked with plenty of fluffy white towels and upscale toiletries.
Take your glass of wine and stroll outside through any number of the french doors positioned throughout this home. Exhale and leave your city angst behind as you take in the breathtaking views of Paso Robles, views that include rolling hills with almond trees and peaks of vines on one side juxtaposed next to sweeping views of the city on another side. As the sun begins to set, you will be challenged to decide where you should sit to enjoy the awesome views of the bright city lights intermingled with the emerald greens of the rolling hills. Perhaps you will choose to lounge around the chic outdoor sofa, slip into a chair at the 12 ft. long teak outdoor dining table, grab an adirondack chair around the fire-pit, or stretch out under the massive oak tree in adirondack loungers, or stroll over to numerous secluded sitting areas located throughout the grounds.
Hard to leave such a fabulous property, right? No worries. Plenty to do right here. Turn up the grill on the gas BBQ or fire up some fragrant wood in the commercial-sized Santa Maria grill, throw on some grass-fed ribeye steaks and sausages from a local butcher for a mouth-watering dinner in true Paso Robles style. Want some activity? Play petanque or bocci ball in the ball court, throw some horse shoes, play corn hole, feed your inner child and swirl around with a hoola hoop, lounge in the Jacuzzi, then relax sitting around the fire pit while you contemplate the wineries to visit tomorrow.
Welcome to Illumination Ridge - a perfect marriage of outdoor and indoor living at its stylish best.

About the host
Hosted by Miwon Halt
Mom. Wife. Lawyer. Entrepreneur. Mediator. Soccer Mom. Would-Be-Designer. Passionate about family, traveling, our vacation home in Paso, the town of Paso, wine, food, designing and tennis! We used to live in Southern California, and fell in love with Paso Robles during our many trips up here wine tasting. We looked for the perfect location for over 2 years. It took us nearly a year to renovate every corner of this property to make it our own. We believe this property is the perfect blend of clean modern contemporary sensibilities balanced with cool eclectic sensibilities. We love this place; it is our slice of heaven. We now share it with you.
Why they chose this property
We are passionate about Paso Robles!
Paso is the fastest growing wine region in California, with over 200 wineries. Paso is regularly voted one of the best towns to move to, to visit, to live in, etc. Paso regularly makes top ten lists for having the happiest residents and great quality of life. Paso is also ideally situated: It's the midway point between Los Angeles and San Francisco; It's 20 minutes away from the beaches of Cambria and Morro Bay; It's only 45 miles to Hearst Castle. Paso is geographically beautiful: It is nestled in the rolling foothills of the Central Coast's Santa Lucia Mountains; Its landscape is dotted with majestic oak trees and untouched bucolic natural beauty; And, cows, horses and sheep roam the hills grazing on grass, the way Mother Nature intended things to be. Paso is also sophisticated. You will find numerous awesome restaurants, many of them equal to or better than what you'd expect to encounter in the big cities of Los Angeles or San Francisco. These are all the reasons why we initially loved visiting Paso. But those aren't the reasons why we decided to buy a house in Paso.
Here is what truly captured our hearts: Paso is authentic. Paso is the real deal. That nostalgic California - the one that people moved out West for way back when, in pursuit of the American Dream - the one that's really hard to find let alone dream about in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or even Napa - well, that California still exists, right here in Paso. As one young winemaker told us, Paso is a place where a person of modest means can come with nothing but hard labor, but with enough passion and hard work, you can build from ground up into something special. Paso is a special place where passion exists, hard work exists, helping each other exists. We hope you will come visit and experience this for yourself.

What makes this property unique
Six acres of serene privacy, yet literally only half a mile to town. Stunning views of orchards and vines on one side, with city lights on another side. Ideal location with the best views in Paso - bar none! Beautifully remodeled with modern, luxury and cool rustic details. No expenses spared. Plenty of everything provided - free nespresso coffee pods, our own private label olive oil sample, bottle of quality Paso local wine, plenty of extra linens and towels. All toiletries provided, with hairdryers in each of the 3 bathrooms. Like staying at a luxury hotel, except you get your own fully stocked large kitchen and you can hang out with friends/family in all the beautiful common areas inside and outside.
