The house was everything the description said it would be. The owners were very accommodating. The house was in the perfect location fir our sons Lotus wedding.
This home was an absolute gem of a place! Cozy and homey and absolutely perfect! I was baking for a family wedding and the kitchen was stocked with everything I forgot! Saved my tuchus! Thank you for that!!!The owner was an excellent communicator and the towels were super fluffy! The property was perfect and so peaceful. So dreamy! 15/10 would definitely recommend! Thank you for a fabulous weekend!
The house was clean and in good condition. The area is beautiful and feels like you are in a retreat in farmland although you are only 8 minutes from Lotus. The owners were very communicative and kind. We will be back to enjoy another relaxing weekend on the river.

Vacation/Wedding
We absolutely loved our stay at this rental. At first we were nervous about no cell service or tv channels but quickly realized how much more important family time was instead. There were six adults, a four year old and a six month old and we had plenty of room for all of us. We love this rental and plan on coming back in about four years so hope it's still available then!!
This property was just what we were looking for... a three bedroom home not far from Placerville.
Clean and comfortable rooms and beds, good kitchen and family room plus nice back patio.
We found fresh cut flowers, a small jar of jam, fresh loaf of chiabatta bread, and a bottle of wine waiting for us. Would have rated it a 5 star except there were a couple wolf spiders in the house that were scary but easy to kill.

Family Vacation/Wedding
We had such a good time staying at this rental house. It was in a convenient location to a wedding for our nephew that we attended on July 4th in Coloma and was also near our brother who lives in Garden Valley. There were six adults, a four year old and a six month old that stayed here and we had plenty of room. We tubed down the American River, which was in close proximity too. Overall it was a great vacation home and we hope it's still available in three years because we plan on coming back.
House was exactly as described. Spacious and comfortable for our family of 6. Backyard was great to relax and enjoy the view while our dog was able to run. WiFi and ATT cell service worked fine. Paula was very accommodating with an early check in, very responsive, and gave clear instructions for a smooth weekend. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine, and fresh baked bread and jam on the table upon arrival. I can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this area is in the fall! Driving the winding road with views of the river and fall trees was spectacular ! 35 minute drive to Apple Hill,10 minute drive to hike gorgeous Gerle Loop trail along the American River.
A weekend my family will remember for a long time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a perfect place for a family- fully stocked kitchen and bedrooms! We had 8 adults & two infants and we had plenty of space. The pull out couch in living room was comfortable enough for our son and daughter in law (not a complaint from them). The pictures we saw on listing were old and the bedrooms and pull out couch were updated since the pictures- all beds were very comfortable and cozy. The house was clean and the setting outdoors was so peaceful after a busy day at Apple Hill. We highly recommend this home and will stay again next time we are in the area!
Oh, and the welcome gift when we arrived was so sweet- fresh cut flowers, a delicious loaf of bread, and fresh jam.
So clean and fun and family friendly. A beautiful spot, totally stocked for every need. Great directions on accommodations. Totally recommend for a great stay.
A group of girl friends came for a short overnight trip to go hiking around Lotus. The views were beautiful, both from the trail and the Vrbo property on top of a hill. The space was clean and comfortable, check-in was easy and the time was flexible, the hosts were friendly, and we found everything we needed for the evening. We enjoyed listening to birdsong outside our windows in the morning, and saw some horses from a distance. Would definitely recommend this rental!
This home provided an excellent retreat. The hosts were very communicative, flexible, and considerate, the check in process was flawless, the home itself was large and well equipped, and the location was very scenic. I am happily recommending this rental property to my friends.
We needed a place to spend one night, with members of our group coming from different places at different times over the course of the day. This place worked perfect.
My family and I had a very nice time at this home. The accommodations were clean and welcoming. And the location was close to the river and the Marshall Gold Discovery Musuem. We also got alot of bird watching in on the deck!
It was a very nice place quiet, and clean. Not a great place for small children too many knick knacks. The oven didn't work. Butt the owner did their best, very friendly
Great one level house with a healthy mix of modern and rustic features.
Everything is super clean and works.
The backyard is fenced and safe for our toddler.
You can see horses and llamas (yes, llamas) right from your or porch.
Placerville is 20 minutes away, Sierra is 1 hour away. Whitewater rafting is next door. Coloma, gold rush museums, you have it.
The owner was super helpful, answering any questions immediately and going literally extra miles to help us.
Be aware that this is the country living so you can wake up to a rooster call in the morning.
This cute ranch house was just what we needed. Owners were easy to get a hold of, yard was perfect for our dogs. Just pulling into the driveway we instantly felt at ease and relaxed. Couldn’t have asked for a better mini trip.
I wanted a place for my son and I to stay before we went on the Rubicon Trail. And, to visit with my sister, who lives locally. This was perfect. The house was clean, and comfortable, and in a very quiet location. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.
This was exactly what we needed for our getaway for our Thanksgiving Weekend. This place was perfect for my husband and I and my Mom and our 2 pups. Owner was extremely welcoming and helpful in sending directions. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, fresh flowers and sweet Blueberry Bread. Fully stocked with plenty of kitchen items. We made a few home cooked meals the night of our arrival and my Birthday Dinner Celebration (Friday) including the wine and Champagne we brought. Beds were comfy. So peaceful having coffee on the deck with beautiful view, even tho it was on the brisk side of temps in low 40s.. The setting is so quiet and peaceful, and the lawn is perfect. The pups loved the nicely gated yard with grass – we played with them with their toys, took them for walks down the way and they greeted the other dogs/animals along the way. We drove into Jackson on Thanksgiving to spend with the in-laws. We would definitely consider staying here again! Hopefully in the spring/summer.
This place was perfect for us. Traveling with my elderly mother and the layout of the house was safe and comfortable for her, including handicap shower. We were able to have family visit us rather than taking her out to see them each day. Fully stocked with plenty of kitchen items and extra linens. Beds were comfy. So peaceful having coffee on the deck with beautiful view. It is out of town a ways, but being from the area, we were prepared for extra driving. Worth it!
