My wife and I spent a snowy weekend here, and both the cabin and location were beautiful. We saw deer, hawks, ducks, and other birds. We really enjoyed the quiet retreat. 4 wheel drive was necessary in the snow, but the area was plowed and well maintained!
Wonderful relaxing location. Cozy cabin beautiful nature views in every direction. Very clean, easy check in process. Wonderful location to get away and unplug.
We had perfect weather, cabin is very private and being on the river added extra treats, Salmon daily swim byes, many birds, deer, eagle and even a good size bear came into camp about 10pm. Awesome to see that.
loved the solitude setting, very quiet and private
Saw plenty of trout swim by, several small animals and two bald Eagles. a bunch of Deer. Excellent stay- this was a repeat location for us and didn't disappoint. Could use a matrices upgrade, that was the common complaint- bed wasn't comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful property
The Talaga had so many glass doors you felt as if you were sitting outside with nature all the while being warm and cozy next to a wood stove.. we had a great time even tho the weather didn't cooperate and we couldn't have a bonfire.
What a wonderful property for a much needed get away! The seclusion was amazing. A beautiful location, we enjoyed sitting on the large deck every morning drinking coffee and listening to nature. It is definitely remote, we were "unplugged" for 99% of our stay as the Verizon service is minimal, which we ultimately very much appreciated! Though it was only my husband and I, there is plenty of room for the family. Victoria is always reachable and very responsive, definitely one of the best VRBO owners we have ever worked with. Highly suggest this property!
This cabin was amazing and definitely in the woods.River was relaxing we seen fish traveling upstream daily.Seen deer right in the driveway a few days so many variety of birds. If you want peace and quiet and be in the middle of the woods this is for you. Floor to ceiling windows gave a beautiful view of outside. Would love to return next year.

Cabin in the woods - Serene
Want to get away? - this is a great place. 3 bed room cabin on the Little Manistee river is a quiet and beautiful place to get away and spend time with family and friends. You can drop some kayaks up stream and take out right at your cabin. We also watched a bald eagle soaring around overhead. No internet and limited cell service forces you to unplug. This location is near the great Dublin store to pick up some groceries and their famous jerky. We had a great time.
Well managed transaction, accurate description, we recommend and would stay again.
Thanks!!

True Seclusion
My wife and I cannot stress enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. We live in a busy city, right next to several major roads, but we're country folk at heart. When we arrived at the cabin we must have spent a good twenty minutes just enjoying how quiet it was.
A lot of cabins advertise "isolated" or "secluded", then have other houses or cabins less than a stone's throw away. This cabin is completely and truly secluded. We did not see or hear another living soul the entire time we were there.
The interior is also in great shape and incredibly nice. The bathroom and shower are a little dated (and the shower head is very short), but we were so enamored with the rest of the place that we couldn't be that bothered by it.
All in all, it was an incredible couple days that ended way too quickly and we're already planning to return next year.

Our Best Sister Trip EVER!
Every year my sisters and I take a weekend away. I was in charge of selecting the location/rental this year. I knew if it wasn't just right I would hear about for years! I was apprehensive as the time drew nearer - would it smell cabiny, would the kitchen be okay, would the beds be right, would the location work?? When we pulled up, I was the first to walk in and check things out. PERFECT!! Everything was wonderful!! The kitchen is stocked with every implement we would need! The beds were comfy! The smell was fresh! And the location? Beautiful!! Close to the Douglas Valley Winery and you must get jerky from the Dublin General Store!! :-) Victoria answered any question I had quickly. We loved this place and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you!!
We loved this cabin! What an amazing experience. The cabin is nestled back in the woods, overlooking the river. Very secluded, quiet and so peaceful and beautiful. So many birds, many eagles and we heard a cool owl one night.
Morning coffee on the deck and fires at night.
The house is very, very clean and organized. It’s also very well maintained. They have maintained some of the original house and integrated new things as well. Lots of room and I appreciated the extra things they had for the kitchen. (Spices, coffee filters, etc)
There isn’t WiFi and we didn’t get any cell service there. It took a little while to get used to that, but after a few hours....it was extremely freeing! We actually got to de-stress and enjoy our surroundings.
The only thing we would change and it’s super minor...the king bed was pretty soft. We happen to have a great bed at home, so this mattress took time to get used to.
We would absolutely stay here again!
Thank you!

What a special place!
We stayed for a winter weekend birthday celebration and could not have chosen a more perfect spot! Tucked away into the woods, on a beautiful bend of the Little Manistee River, it was a winter paradise! We watched bald eagles and heron regularly patrolling the river, also turkeys and ducks in the vicinity - all from the comfort of the great room. We had a great time just walking the little roads and seeing the tracks and signs of other wildlife in the area.
The house itself is perfect for a getaway - a large, comfortably furnished living room area with lots of comfy seating and a beautiful cut stone fireplace with woodstove insert. The walls are almost 100% sliders so the views are fantastic no matter where you sit. The vaulted ceiling made the room open and airy. The kitchen is very well-equipped, everything we could possibly need and all in good condition. And a dishwasher - not always available in cabins in the woods!
The bedrooms are small but comfortable and the beds were made up with fleece sheets - SO cozy! Plenty of pillows, towels, washcloths, etc. Individually controlled base-board heaters assure the perfect temperature in every room. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained.
Vicki, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and very responsive - it's obvious she loves this house and we were so happy to have the chance to stay there. We are anxious to return in warmer weather so we can get on the river and see the area in full greenery and/or fall foliage!
