A beautiful home in a perfect location
Everything about our stay was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The house is full of character, beautifully and tastefully furnished with every comfort. The pool was wonderful (my daughter practically lived in it) and the extensive gardens, lovely. My sons really appreciated the two pianos and my partner, the guitar. It was so uplifting to spend time in a home surrounded by music, art and books. The little footpath down to Sommieres was delightful for fresh croissants and bread in the mornings. Sommieres is exquisitely atmospheric with its deserted medieval alleys. Don't miss the Monday evening wine festival in July and August. We also loved Esta Minet bar for a casual drink and great food and had a very special birthday dinner at Chateau du Pondres which was exceptional value. Katia, Jacques and Alex were so friendly and helpful and all dealings were charming and effortless. We hope to return very soon.

Nous avons passé 15 jours superbes dans cette belle maison, très bien agencée, meublée avec goût et authentique comme nous les aimons ! Les enfants ont passé des heures dans la piscine, et nous des heures de lecture et de repos face à la vue magnifique offerte par le jardin!

Wonderful!
We had a brilliant time in Sommieres staying at Jacques' place. Jacques was a great communicator and very welcoming when we arrived. He made us feel at home and we loved the cultural ambience of the house. The garden and swimming pool are fabulous and Sommieres, Villevielle and surrounds are great for walks, markets and exploring.

Perfect holiday

Schönes romantisches Haus in ruhiger Lage
Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in einem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus. Die Küche war bestens ausgestattet und der Wlan-Empfang war gut. Im großen, uneinsehbaren Garten finden sich mehrere schöne Sitzecken mit schönem Ausblick. Der saubere, sonnige Pool wurde von uns häufig genutzt. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

Un séjour très agréable dans une maison pleine de charme
Nous avons passé de très belles vacances entre amis, 7 adultes et 4 ados, dans la superbe maison de Katia. Toutes les pièces sont meublées et décorées avec goût et originalité, la piscine en mosaïque offre une très jolie vue, il y a pleins de petits endroits sympas pour se reposer ou lire dans le jardin. Seul petit bémol si le groupe fait plus de 10 personnes, il fait très chaud dans la chambre du haut en plein mois d'août, mais il y a possibilité de descendre les matelas pour plus de fraîcheur car la maison est spacieuse. Merci à Katia qui a été très arrangeante sur la procédure de réservation et qui valorise la relation de confiance.

Wonderful property
We had an amazing stay in this house!! We were 3 adults and enjoyed our own bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. Everything you need and more is available on this property. Which is not only beautiful but is also extremely well appointed! The kitchen is amazing and has everything you need to cook. We spent time in the garden, relaxing in the hammocks, cooling in the pool or playing table tennis, pétanque and even badminton! We could have spent days there and not go anywhere! Sommieres is very charming and full of character. We enjoyed that small town very much and even visited the castle. There are miles and miles of trails to enjoy if you like to hike. This region of France like most of Grance is gorgeous, so much to see everywhere! We would not hesitate to come back to Ekaterina and Jacques’ house, they were super friendly and made the stay flawless.

Entspannte zwei Wochen
Das Haus auf großem Grundstück liegt auf einem Hügel oberhalb von Sommières. Dadurch gibt es meist eine leichte Brise, die in der Augusthitze eine Wohltat ist. Wir waren zu acht (4 Erwachsene, 4 Kinder) dort und haben rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich, das Grundstück war gross und hatte viele Schattige Plätzchen, wo man sich auch mal zum Lesen zurückziehen konnte. Nur um die Belegung der zwei Hauseigenen Hängematten gab es manchmal Streit 😉. Die Kinder waren sowieso meist am schönen Pool. Und das WLAN war auch so gut, dass Musik und Videostreaming ordentlich genutzt wurden. Frisches Baguette am Morgen aus Sommieres zu holen dauerte zu Fuß mit Hin- und Rückweg eine Dreiviertelstunde. Und es gibt einen guten Bäcker dort. In der Umgegend gibt es einige gut ausgeschilderte Wanderwege und nette Städte wie Montpellier, Uzès oder Aigues-Mortes sind mit Auto in weniger als einer Stunde zu erreichen. Kurt und gut: wir hatten erholsame zwei Wochen und haben sie sehr genossen. Ich kann das Haus wirklich empfehlen.

Phantastischer Familienurlaub!
Wir hatten einen tollen und wunderschönen Familien-Sommerurlaub in dem Ferienhaus in Sommières. Das romantische Haus, der grosse Garten mit Hängematten, der Pool mit den bequemen Liegen und die Lage mit einer tollen Aussicht haben unseren Urlaub zu einem phantastischen Erlebnis gemacht. Der Ort Sommières ist wunderschön und sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Maison atypique avec magnifique jardin
Nous avons passé une très agréable semaine de vacances dans cette maison très atypique tant par son architecture que par sa décoration et conception. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les extérieurs : le jardin est magnifique, la piscine est un vrai bijou et la vue sur la vallée est superbe que ce soit le matin au lever du soleil ou le soir à la tombée de la nuit. Très bien située géographiquement, vous pouvez aussi bien profiter du calme du lieu que faire du tourisme dans les environs riches de petits villages plus charmants les uns que les autres. Le contact avec les propriétaires est simple et facile, nous les remercions pour leur accueil !

The house is like a dream - really something extraordinary!
We spent a week in june-july 2018 in this lovely house in Sommières. We are a Swedish couple who stayed there with our two children and their families. Here some of the impressions from the house and the garden: Beautiful house with a fantastic artistic decor Pleasant and cosy with many rooms and things to detect Harmonic surroundings with a flowering garden presenting a splendid view Wellequipped and inspiring kitchen, where many delicious meals were created A wonderful pool, where we really spent many hours and where 6 years old Aron learned to swim Calm and relaxing in spite of the nearness to Sommières - a nice medieval town, where you can buy your breakfast bread and all other delicious food, which for us is so characteristic of France. Don´t miss the Saturday market, where you can stroll around for hours. A summary of our stay in this fantastic house was made by the youngest grandchild: "It was 1000 %". Thank you! Hope to come back. Highly recommended

A lovely home in a stunning location
We stayed in this lovely home while visiting Sommières in late May. The house is both elegant and comfortable—we felt completely at home in it, but at the same time were always discovering new treasures (a small painting we had overlooked, a piece of sculpture set in a niche outside the house, etc.). The house is set back off the road and feels private and secluded even though it’s in a residential neighborhood. There is a large combined living/dining area and open kitchen, behind which is a corridor extending to the back, with three bedrooms and 2 ½ baths. Remarkably (at least to this American couple) almost every room in the house opens onto the terrace, giving the house a light airy feel. We particularly liked the kitchen, with its lovely tiles and its well-stocked cabinets, and sitting out on the terrace, where we inevitably had our breakfast. We didn’t use the pool, since the weather wasn’t warm enough, but it is lovely and private and has superb views across the hills. The house is located on a ridge with easy access to the town and the chateau. In addition, there is easy access to the D40 without going into Sommières proper, so it is an ideal base for visiting the area. The Sommières market is on Saturdays and provides a delightful opportunity to wander through open air shops and food stalls. Two regional sites that we particularly enjoyed are the Parc Ornithologique de Pont Gau and the city of Aigues-Mortes. The former is a bird sanctuary within the much larger Parc Natural Régional de Camargue, and among other shore birds contains large flocks of flamingos. The park is about 50 kilometers away and it takes about one hour to drive there. Aigues-Mortes is a medieval walled city built by Louis IX in 1214. It was originally intended to serve as an embarkation point for a crusade to the Holy Land and to provide access to the Mediterranean. The walls are just over 1600 meters (one mile) long and completely enclose the city proper. Once inside the walls, the streets are narrow and flow into a lively city center with shops and outdoor restaurants. We walked the entire length of the walls and had lovely views of the city and the surrounding countryside. Katya was, from the very start, both warm and prompt in all our communications. We were delighted to meet her and Jacques when we arrived, and were only sorry that our visit with them was so brief. Their warmth and their aesthetic permeate their home and make it very special indeed.

De vraies vacances de rêve !
Belle maison de caractère, extérieur super adapté aux enfants et au farniente (piscine sécurisée, beaucoup d'espace, hamacs, coins ensoleillés et ombragés, deux terrasses différentes... le rêve) ! On a beaucoup apprécié le calme, la magnifique vue, l'emplacement hors de la ville mais proche de tout, et la mise à disposition du lit et de la chaise bébé !

Un havre de paix
Séjour très agréable dans le cadre exceptionnel de cette propriété atypique dotée d'un charme certain. Le jardin paysager a été conçu avec gout et permet de profiter pleinement de la piscine qui y trône juste derrière les oliviers. A dream of a place - comfort, space and beauty
A beautiful house with great character and a pleasing aesthetic: tiled floors, pictures, shelves of books and two pianos give it a very personal feel. The large garden is a delight, with superb views, corners to escape into, and places to sit together and eat/drink. Good, well-maintained pool with a gate and baby alarm. We also discovered the first-class local wine of Aubai Mema (just down the road in the village of Aubais) - highly recommended, and what more could one want for a perfect summer holiday?

Just right!
This place was super, it really suited all of our needs, from the studio for dance, yoga and music, local golf, to the pool, Wifi and TV. A very workable kitchen and it's shabby, chic feel made us all enjoy this home away form home. Sommière itself is a lively village, and being summertime there was so much to see and do ( including the Tour de France and Bastille Day celebrations) if we wanted to. The Green Trail ( bike and running path) were close and we used this daily. Katia and Jacques were discrete, yet helpful and made everything smooth from start to finish. Thank you ! Highly recommended :-)

Excellent séjour
Propriété très agréable, agencement des pièces permettant une cohabitation facile, grand jardin calme et fleuri, piscine un peu à l'écart très agréable, proximité de Sommières (centre facilement accessible à pied), belle vue...Bref, un très bon séjour! Seul bémol: la chambre (unique) de l'étage est un peu chaude, les 3 autres chambres sont très agréables, donnant sur la terrasse.

Super ausgestattetes Haus Sehr netter Vermieter
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in dem Haus in Sommières sehr genossen, das Haus ist hervorragend ausgestattet und sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Haus ist genauso ausgestattet wie im Online Inserat angegeben. Es liegt sehr ruhig und die Aussicht ist phantastisch. Der wunderschöne Ort Sommières ist einigen Minuten zu erreichen. Der Pool und Garten sind auch sehr schön; man fühlt sich in diesem Haus wie "Gott in Frankreich". Man kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Der Vermieter ist auch supernett, war stets präsent, kümmert sich um alles und ist bei Problemen sofort erreichbar. Das Haus eignet sich sehr gut für einen Familienurlaub. Sollte man Lust verspüren, die Spezialitäten, die man auf dem typischen französischen Markt gekauft hat, zu kochen so findet man eine super Küche vor mit 4-flammigen Gasherd, großem Kühlschrank und sehr vielen Küchenaccessoires vor. Alles in allem kann man das Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen. Von Sommières aus ist man schnell am Meer schnell in den Bergen und auch die wunderschöne,, elegante Großstadt Montpellier ist schnell zu erreichen. Kurz gesagt tolles Haus, tolle Vermieter, tolle Umgebung würde ich meinen Freunden jederzeit weiterempfehlen.
