Benefits/Strengths of Emigrant Lodge:
1. THE VIEW. We believe that the view is breathtaking. We have seen the property in the early Spring and late Fall. The pictures speak for themselves. The amazing views can be had from the deck, the screen porch, the 3 bedrooms which face Paradise Valley, and the living room.
2. THE LOCATION. The home is approximately 30 minutes from Roosevelt Arch/Yellowstone National Park, approximately 15 minutes from Chico Hot Springs, approximately 30 minutes from Livingston, approximately 60 minutes from Bozeman and approximately 5 minutes from portions of the Yellowstone River. The small town of Emigrant is approximately 10 minutes from the house; Emigrant has a small convenience store, a fly shop, restaurants, a bank, etc.
3. THE WILDLIFE. We have regularly seen deer in the yard and between US Highway 89 and the house. There are rabbits which live around the house and have little fear of people. We are told that elk have been seen on the property but we have not yet seen them. From the deck and porch you can see grazing and production fields which, at times, have cows and deer. In the mornings it is not uncommon to wake up to the sound of songbirds.
4. THE HOME. In 2014 the home was extensively renovated. The walls in the kitchen were removed and new sheetrock walls were installed, new counters were installed, new cabinets were installed, new appliances (stove, fridge, and dishwasher) were installed and a new vinyl tile floor was installed. The home has a nicely equipped kitchen including two coffeemakers, tea pot, crock pot, electric griddle, waffle iron, toaster and serving dishes.
The walls in 3 of the 4 bedrooms were removed, re-insulated and new sheetrock was installed and painted.
In 2014 we also replaced all of the carpeting in the house.
The living room has a matching sofa and love seat, side tables, a coffee table and an entertainment center. The entertainment center has a HD television and a DVD/VHS player.
The dining room table easily seats 8 people. There is also a kitchen bar with two stools adjacent to the dining room table. The dining room has a fairly new laminate floor.
The master bedroom has a king size bed, a large bureau with a mirror, two night stands, and a large armoire which contains a HD television. The bedroom which is adjacent to the guest bathroom has a queen bed, a nightstand, a cedar blanket chest and a bureau. The third bedroom has a queen size bed, a bureau, nightstand and armoire. This bedroom has a HD television. The last bedroom is set up as a kids’ bedroom. It has 2 twin log beds and 2 bureaus. It does not have a television. All of the bedrooms have large closets and are nicely decorated.
The screen porch has 2 rocking chairs, a loveseat, 2 chairs, 2 ottomans and table. The deck has a gas grill, picnic table and 4 Adirondack chairs with matching tray table.
5. INTERNET/SATELLITE TV. The home has WI-FI. Satellite TV is provided by DISH.
6. NEIGHBORS. There is a good amount of space between the house and other homes. The closest homes are behind and uphill from the house. When one stands in the driveway one can see one of those homes and a number which lie between the home and the valley below. We have yet to meet all of the neighbors but the ones we have met appear to be 'the salt of the earth'.
7. QUIET. We are struck by the silence only punctuated by the sound of the wind, the songs of the birds, and the occasional sound of a very distant cow.
8. ROADS. The main road into the subdivision is paved, however, two of the roads (Arcturus and Corleonis) are gravel. The gravel roads are as wide as the paved road (easily accommodating 2 way traffic) and are well maintained.

The lodge was perfect! We had a wonderful time in Montana. The lodge was well stocked, beds were comfy and we loved hanging out on the screened in front porch. Would definitely stay here again!
Emigrant Lodge was wonderful. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The location and views were fabulous. Our family will be going back in the future.
Excellent place to stay with beautiful views on screened in porch. It’s midway between the Bozeman Airport and the Yellowstone park. We preferred this area to stay out of the craziness in the entrance cities. Would highly recommend.
There isn’t anything the hosts haven’t thought of! Everything was so comfortable and the view is stunning. Wonderful place to enjoy Yellowstone if you want to sleep away from the crowd at Gardiner.
Home in Emigrant is close to Gardiner entrance to Yellowstone. Beautiful location in the mountains. Plenty of room for 7 adults. Loved the enclosed porch and deck area. Very clean and good beds. Host provided all information needed.
The property was exactly as I had hoped. Traveling with my husband and 2 grown boys, we had enough beds, a large kitchen table, and a memorable front porch with an amazing view. Convenient 30 minute drive to the entrance of Yellowstone.
We loved our 3 nights in the Emigrant Lodge. The house is clean, cozy and has lots of space for everyone to spread out. We cooked all our meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed relaxing and watching movies after days spent in Yellowstone. We hope to come back when it's warmer to enjoy the sun porch!
Very beautiful home n very clean. Beautiful view of mountains off back porch. Would definitely stay again n would recommend this great house to anyone visiting the area. Host was great with communication.
Our stay at Emigrant Lodge was definitely the best choice we could have made. Everything was as advertised, and we couldn't have been more happy and pleased with the many amenities. Loved the views and open spaces. It was also easy to reach from the highway. We hated to leave this beautiful place!
Great host. Accurate listing. We really enjoyed our accommodations. Well equipped kitchen with modern appliances. Location was perfect for our excursions. The view is top notch. Our favorite room was the screened-in porch!
Property was perfect! Great location with amazing views. Clean and well stocked! The screen porch and deck offered a relaxing spot. We visited Yellowstone 3x, drove the Beartooth Highway and spent a day in Bozeman. Everything was truly perfect!
The property was very clean, tidy, and well-stocked for folks flying in to do Yellowstone. Cool, spacious and quiet- this offered a peaceful haven after busy days in the park. Up in the hills with nice porches, mountain views, birds, deer, and sagebrush scents. Comfy beds and plenty of space!

Gracious, well-appointed home with magnificent view
Emigrant Lodge is beautifully furnished and well-maintained with a well-equipped kitchen, so it’s a very comfortable and pleasant place to spend some time. Add on the open deck and a screened porch that provide amazing views of the surrounding mountains and valley, and it’s also a stunning setting to relax. The location provides access to a wide variety of options for activities and sightseeing, so we would highly recommend this accommodation.
Our family of 4 loved staying here! The property is located close to Yellowstone, conveniently just off the highway but far enough away not hear the noise. We enjoyed coffee in the mornings and conversations at night on the screened porch while viewing the mountains. It is magical to say the least! Beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with literally everything we needed. Highly recommend!
We had a great time at the lodge, and it was a perfect base for adventures into Yellowstone. The home was spacious, well appointed, and comfortable for our family with room to spread out. It’s in a great location on the hill, just a few minutes drive from the highway but far enough that it’s quiet and peaceful (with a wonderful view of the river valley). The host was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely come here again when we return to Yellowstone!
This home was fully stocked. The communication was fantastic and the view… the view would be hard to beat. We are already missing our morning Mountain View’s from the screened in porch.

Why they chose this property
In 2007 we visited Yellowstone National Park and fell in love with the area. Since 2007 we have vacationed in YNP on almost a yearly basis and each year we fantasized about the possibility of one day owning a Montana home that would serve as our retirement home and a gateway into YNP; unfortunately, as years passed this dream seemed to be beyond our reach. In late 2013 one of Lorraine's friends asked her to join her on a trip to the Yellowstone area and while she was visiting she had the opportunity to look at a number of homes that were for sale in the Emigrant area. After a great deal of soul searching and lengthy negotiations we were able to acquire 'Emigrant Lodge.' The home had a great many strengths but also needed a fair amount of renovations. Two trips to Montana and with the assistance of some amazing contractors/friends we have been able to perform a great many of the necessary renovations. While all of the planned renovations have not been completed we are well on our way. We are most fortunate to have been able to acquire this home and are pleased with the results of our renovation efforts; we are confident that you and your family will find this to be a comfortable and enjoyable home away from home.
