Laura is a great host, the house is full of character, it’s walking distance to restaurants and City Park/museum, and the neighborhood is full of beautiful architecture.
The Laurel is a gem in a perfect New Orleans setting. One of my favorite stays ever. The guest suite is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Laura is a gracious, welcoming, attentive hostess. I loved walking to Bayou St. John and being just a few blocks from the gorgeous live oaks in City Park with its Sculpture Garden, coffee and beignet, Art Museum. And there are several great restaurants in easy walking distance. A perfect perch for enjoying the best of New Orleans.
Lovely house. Very comfortable bed. Lovely sitting sunroom attached to bedroom. Convenient to buses or trams for getting to French Quarter. Breakfast is "Continental", but plentiful, great coffee!
Host knocked herself out to accommodate the two of us. Space was large and temp controlled, including full private bathroom. Tea and coffee could be prepared in the room.
Perfectly suited our needs! Communication with the host remained seamless and efficient, even while coordinating details on behalf of family members. Every interaction was met with promptness and kindness, making the entire process stress free. This rental is a top choice for anyone seeking a beautiful space and welcoming host.
The host was wonderful and had lots of suggestions for local spots. She was also very flexible with check out times. We will definitely come back again!
Great accommodations. Host was very helpful in navigating New Orleans. Very nice neighborhood with nice garden area for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine and coffee .
Laura was an amazing hostess! She was kind and attentive to me and my husband at all times. We loved her home, breakfast was great, she even offered to make eggs for us along with all the wonderful things she already offered. It was a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We would recommend her place to friends and family. Mariam and Brad
breakfast was nice; they had fresh bananas and warm croissants. anything else we wanted we could have got if we had asked. the hosts were very kind, easy to talk to (i find myself to be an awkward person) and very helpful. she recommended to us some cool places to eat and experience. her home is very nice, full of different pieces of art and just overall a beautiful sight to see.
A lovely 100 year old home in a quiet, tree lined section of Mid-City with a separate entrance, separate sitting room with lots of windows, a very clean bathroom and comfortable bed. Great place to stay and really nicely located for Jazz Fest or activities in City Park or on Bayou St. John. Friendly host. Highly recommnded,
