A fantastic place to stay...

A fantastic place to stay. Very secluded and private with beautiful gardens, lots of space and great views to the sea, it's perfect for those who want a tranquil holiday in calm and peaceful surroundings. It's also easy to get to Palermo and Cefalu, and close to the spectacular Le Madonie national park. The owners were also incredibly helpful, providing advice and information on local facilities and places to visit.

Un sogno siciliano

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno dei sogni nella Villa Maruzza, un angolo del paradiso, sopra Trabia. Nella villa esiste un carattere quasi incantato, con tutti i pianti e arbori che ci si trovano. E infine con una vista fantastica sul Mare Tirreno, in alcuni giorni si può persino vedere l´isola di Alicudi! La regione é bellissima, con montagne imponenti fino alla costa che dopo vengono sostituite da un mare dalle acque limpidissime. Questo si chiama il Golfo di Termini Imerese - E cioé puro Mediterraneo- La padrona Mariella e sua figlia Francesca sono state sempre disponibili per qualsiasi domanda e dubbio. Hanno anche messo a nostra disposizione l´altro appartamento, perche era libero! Dove si può trovare ancora oggi comportamento cosí? Mille grazie di nuovo per questo! L´uncia cosa che si potrebbe menzionare é l´accesso e la strada verso l´alto, che non é cosí facile, ma dopo averlo fatto un paio di volte era tutto buono e facile! Grazie Francesca e Mariella, speriamo che possiamo tornare un giorno.

Sicilia bedda!

L’appartamento si trova all’interno di un’ampia proprietà, con molto verde. Ideale per 2 persone, cucina piccola, per il resto tutto ok. Si gode di un ampia vista sul mare. Al nostro arrivo la padrona di casa Mariella, persona gentile e cortese, ci ha fatto trovare latte, zucchero, caffè, sale, acqua fresca in frigo, letto fatto, bagno con asciugami, bagnoschiuma e saponi vari. Indispensabile avere l’auto. La pecca è che per raggiungere le spiagge più belle, (se si vuole girare la costa) bisogna fare molta strada. Il mare sottostante è comunque bello ma con poca spiaggia. Il paese di Trabia classico paesello del meridione con tutti i servizi ma non offre svaghi.

Maybe not for everyone, but just what we were looking for

Small friendly town, good location for visiting nearby attractions (Palermo, Cefalu, Marsala). Villa was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was small (not really suitable for cooking or preparing large meals) and came with a toaster oven, small refrigerator, 4 burner stovetop attached to propane tank. The owners were very helpful and in general the communication was very good. We did have several days (not consecutive) where the municipality cut off the water--the owners drove into town and returned with water in containers for us to use until the service was restored. After arriving in Palermo we were late getting to the villa and the owners were very accommodating and had fruit, pizza, water, and coffee waiting for us. The unit has an air conditioner which helps cool the unit during the day (not quiet enough for sleeping, however we were there during some pretty hot days, and opening the windows at night was more than adequate for sleeping comfortably). The views from the terrace in the villa we stayed in were wonderful, and there was a laundry on site that we used a couple of times without problem. After a couple of days, and with the help of the owners, the villa really felt like home. The things we used most in Trabia itself were the supermarket, outdoor market (one morning a week), and very friendly local wine shop. As others, I will also stress you need a vehicle to access the villa, it is out of the way and having your own car is the only way to reach it. In general our visit to Sicily was wonderful, we particularly enjoyed Palermo and Cefalu, and also experienced some very enjoyable excursions based on the recommendations of our hosts. The food was exceptional, and we explored 6 or 7 beaches in the area. Not every beach was as clean as we hoped, but the water was always enjoyable. We found the people almost universally friendly and helpful, and felt very safe no matter where we were on the island. Not having water for a few days was inconvenient, however our hosts did the best they could to minimize the inconvenience. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Pintoresco apartamento con vistas al mar.

El apartamento es pequeño pero está muy bien aprovechado. Quizá el cuarto de baño podría ser un poco más cómodo. Lo mejor de la casa son las varias terrazas con vistas al mar y distinta orientación. La cama del dormitorio era muy cómoda y no pasamos apenas calor en unos días de verano especialmente calurosos. De todas maneras, lo mejor ha sido la atención de la señora Amate, cercana, amable, educada y siempre dispuesta a ayudarte ante cualquier problema. Le damos las gracias de nuevo desde aquí.

Breve, riposante vacanza

Inserito in una villa veramente "sicula", in un parco pieno di piante bellissime e di mille particolari di arredo tipico siciliano, l'appartamento è stato per noi un gradevolissimo rifugio, fresco, simpatico, pulito, dotato di tutto il necessario per un confortevole soggiorno e con una vista mare stupenda. Inoltre, la sua posizione ci ha consentito di conoscere Trabia, che è una interessante cittadina su un mare pulito (dove abbiamo anche potuto apprezzare la cucina siciliana in due diversi ristoranti: "Al Pescatore" e "Hotel Lido Vetrana" entrambi sul mare) nonché, in poco tempo, di visitare Cefalù e di rivedere la sempre bellissima Palermo. La proprietaria della villa Signora Mariella è una persona molto ospitale, disponibile e socievole senza però essere invadente (qualità che non sempre si trova!).

settimana indimenticabile

Per descrivere le meraviglie di questa villa non bastano le parole, bisogna vedere, assaporare, e gustare tutto quello che offre questa casa. Dal giardino alle terrazze, dai colori ai profumi, e una vista incantevole sul mare. il nostro soggiorno li è durato solo una settimana ma la signora Mariella e la figlia Francesca,e famiglia, ci hanno accolto con gioia e calore, sono bastati pochi minuti x farci sentire come a casa nostra. La loro cordialità, il loro calore, hanno fatto sentire noi quasi parte della loro famiglia. siamo stati veramente bene, ci hanno trattato veramente bene, abbiamo e teniamo di Loro tutti un ottimo ricordo.RINGRAZIO la signora Mariella e la Sua famiglia x la splendida settimana trascorsa. Sicilia= mare,sole e tanto affetto

un grazie speciale alla Sig. Mariella che con la sua disponibilità, cordialità e tanta attenzione nei nostri confronti ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Questa vacanza è stata speciale in tutti i sensi!! :) ricorderemo con affetto questi momenti in questo angolo della nostra bella terra, la Sicilia! la casa oltre a offrire una vista incantevole e stupenda sul mare, è davvero dotata di ogni comfort e tutto quello che serve per trascorrere davvero momenti rilassanti insieme alla propria famiglia... anche Koby (il nostro cagnolino) ha apprezzato questa vacanza, e speriamo davvero di poter ritornare presto e ripetere questa bella esperienza.

Un angolo di paradiso dai caldi colori

Non bastano le parole per descrivere questa bellissima villa, siamo stati accolti ed ospitati in questa bellissima residenza dai caldi colori e dai mille vasi all'ombra degli oleandri e dai bouganville. La padrona di casa e sua figlia ci hanno regalato una bellissima settimana di relax,persone deliziose e infinitamente accoglienti delle vere Siciliane DOC!!! L'appartamento da noi affittato ha soddisfatto a pieno le nostre esigenze,graditissimo dai nostri due cagnolini che hanno fatto la vera vacanza al fresco e all'ombra godendosi a pieno la tranquillità che offre questa villa!!! E' in buona posizione per visitare Palermo e le sue belle spiagge lontano dal caos cittadino, Trabia offre ottima cucina ma consiglio a tutti di arrivarci in macchina per poter girare con tranquillità... La villa si trova in cima alla collina del paese quindi necessità per forza di un mezzo "a motore"ed offre una vista da togliere il fiato. Il nostro appartamento dotato di ogni comfort aria condizionata giardino barbecue ( non mancava davvero nulla) ma nulla!!! Che dire? Ringrazio di cuore questa gentilissima famiglia e uno speciale saluto da parte di Milo e Lulu al loro amichetto Peppe!!! Grazie di cuore e spero di poter tornare prima o poi!!

il dolce riposare all'ombra degli oleandri

la cortesia e la gentilezza della signora Mariella risaltano gia' all'arrivo. La bellezza , la quiete e la frescura del posto fanno subito pensare a una vacanza estremamente rilassante. La casa su misura per quattro persone e' completa di biancheria, niente e' lasciato al caso. Sembra di stare in un castello antico che racchiude tanta storia passata.

maison grandiose

maison impressionnante et grandiose de par l'originalité de son architecture et de son jardin éblouissant; notre location bénéficiait d'une terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et la montagne; l'accueil de Francesca est incroyable de gentillesse et de prévenance puisqu'arrivant tard elle nous avait prévu une petite collation pour le soir et de quoi se faire un petit déjeuner le lendemain matin, du jamais vu en France !Par contre il est vrai que la douche est vraiment très petite et à déconseiller aux personnes un peu trop fortes et trop grandes de plus la capacité d'eau chaude est très limitée; autre inconvénient il n'y a pas de congélateur et la machine à laver le linge est à l'extérieur de la maison, il faut monter un peu plus haut pour y aller mais la beauté du site, la gentillesse de Francesca et sa réactivité lorsque l'on rencontre un problème sont exemplaires donc en conclusion cette location est très bien pour deux personnes

Déception

La location est située dans un jardin merveilleux mais le confort est mauvais : une cuisine de 90cm de large, une douche si petite qu'il faut laisser la porte ouverte pour pouvoir se laver et l'eau chaude en quantité limitée (deux douches de 4 à 5mn maximum, avec une attente entre les deux pour que l'eau chauffe). De plus, les WC situés dans la salle de bains n'ont pas d'aération, si ce n'est un mur à trous, donnant sur le couloir. Le grand lit de la chambre est correct mais le canapé-lit du salon est infâme. La clim, très bruyante, est située dans le couloir. Par contre, beaucoup de linge et d'ustensiles de cuisine. Meubles très vieillots. Difficile de se faire comprendre par la propriétaire qui ne parle ni français, ni anglais.

Questo appartamento crea tutte le condizioni per trascorrere una vacanza in pieno relax...la postazione é ottima in quanto consente a chi vi soggiorna di godersi la permanenza lontano dal caos cittadino e di respirare aria sempre pulita e freschissima.Sono stata inoltre piacevolmente sorpresa sia dalla pulizia dell'alloggio sia dalla gentilezza della proprietaria,che si é mostrata disponibile ogniqualvolta avessimo bisogno di consigli o informazioni.

La Villa è stupenda, in u...

La Villa è stupenda, in una posizione privilegiata lo sguardo si perde nell'azzurro del mare. Dotata di ogni confort, Mariella ha proprio pensato a tutto, non si può rimanere assolutamente indifferenti all'amore che si respira nella villa. Ogni particolare è curato con meticolosa perizia. Le meravigliose terrazze conducono a meravigliosi panorami.Grazie Mariella per la bellissima vacanza e per avermi fatto respirare "Casa". A presto Nadia.

"Excellent choix si vous ...

"Excellent choix si vous souhaitez être un peu à l''écart de la ville car cette magnifique maison n''est pas loin de Palerme et de Cefalù. Les appartements dotés de terrasses sont très bien tenus, joliment décorés ( avec de l''artisanat local )et très bien équipés. La propriétaire, Francesca, a pensé à tout afin que vous ne manquiez de rien et nous nous sommes vite sentis très bien dans ce cadre aux allées fleuries et soignées.Même s''il est évident qu''il faille être véhiculé, nous espérons pouvoir y revenir un jour. La scelta di questa casa ...

La scelta di questa casa si è basata sulla posizione strategica per visitare la zona occidentale della Sicilia e sulle testimonianze precedenti requisiti ottimali e veritieri. Il contesto è ancora più bello della descrizione fatta la cordialità, ospitalità, disponibilità della sig.ra Mariella e della figlia Francesca impagabili, la vista bellissima, casa molto curata anche nei dettagli con evidente amore. Palermo raggiungibile anche con il treno che parte ogni ora e in 35 minuti porta in centro città.A Trabia presenti tutti servizi dai supermercati ai bar tabacchi ecc. Posto superbo per chi fa vacanze con il proprio cane!!! Grazie di cuore per questa vacanza speciale e a presto renato e mimma

"We got a different appar...

"We got a different appartment then on the pictures but it was really nice the same!The only different thing was no sea view, but you can`treally sit outside anyway cause the muskito`s will eat you in 15 seconds!no muskito`s in the appartment because of good protection so no worries. BUT YOU MUST HAVE A CAR TO VISIT THIS PLACE. We had so no prob.nice owner and really friendly people!Would go there again and reccomend this place. get the real Local feeling!!Sean from Amsterdam. "Siamo rimasti veramente ...

"Siamo rimasti veramente entusiasti del nostro soggiorno a Trabia. L''alloggio è veramente accogliente e ben arredato, è situato in un luogo tranquillo ideale x trascorrere vacanze in pieno relax.La vista che si ha da ogni angolo della villa è superba.Il colore dei fiori, e le splendide terrazzeimpreziosiscono ancora di piu questo posto. Sottolinierei poi,la gentilezza e la simpatia della propietaria, secondo noi una persona unica! Dimenticavo: l'' alloggio è ideale per chi possiede un cane perchè è dotato ddi un notevole giardino!"

"Dans une dépendance d’une ancienne demeure pleine de charme, Mariélla, la propriétaire vous accueille avec une extrême gentillesse. La maison bénéficie de tout le confort que l’on peut souhaiter pour des vacances sans contrainte. La maison étant haut perchée, la vue est magnifique et l’on apprécie le petit vent lors des fortes chaleurs. Une voiture est indispensable, car les commerces et une petite plage sont tout de même à 2 kms, en pente raide..."

"Il posto è spettacolare,...

"Il posto è spettacolare, la villa bellissima e tenuta molto bene. Ci sono giardini e terrazze da cui si gode uno splendido panorama. La casa e'' molto carina e molto curata, anche nei dettagli. La cosa che più mi ha colpito e'' stata la gentilezza e la disponibilità della proprietaria, la signora Mariella, davvero una persona squisita. Tutto l''insieme e'' fantastico."
