900 Square Foot Guest Cottage Built In 2013. Great For A Family of five max.

Luxurious but rustic decor, beams, stained concrete floors, beautifully furnished. One large master bedroom, King bed, with red sliding barn doors, high-end pull out couch, Queen bed, in living room plus two twins configured in a day bed. High end linens. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, eating area for four. Bath with shower/tub. Full laundry room with portacrib and changing table. High chair. WiFi, Comcast cable, flat screen TV. Amazon Alexa music. Lovely, private patio with table and four chairs, umbrella and lawn. Webber charcoal grill. Parking. This cottage is built on a 1.3 acre ranch-house estate in the Arden Oaks neighborhood of Sacramento. Winner of 2014 Coty Award for houses built in the under $250,000 category, Sacramento region.
We are on site but very separate so guests have almost total privacy.

This was our second stay at this oasis in the middle of a busy city. The cottage is beautiful with everything you could want. The kitchen is as good as home and also a wonderful, comfy bedroom.Sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine after a busy day, overlooking the HUGE park-like yard, was very special. We even saw the neighborhood's turkeys!Sally is the "Hostess with the Most-ess". She let us be, but when we wanted to talk, she was there.We look forward to returning soon.

We are semi retired, originally from East Coast. Adult daughters and grandchildren are all living in San Francisco and Sacramento. We built the guest house to accommodate their frequent visits with growing families. We are golfers, skiers, tennis players, gardeners and pet owners.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in the main house for 35 years. Guest House stands on the site of the original barn and caretaker's cottage, which we tore down in 2013. Lot size is 1.3 acres, leaving a huge lawn in front of the guest house patio. Very private, cozy. Shady, large pet enclosure.

What makes this property unique

Private outdoor space, fenced in yard for occasional dog tenants. Dogs must be approved by owner. Plenty of parking. Cabin style interior with all new (or antique) furnishings and appliances. Dedicated wifi. Significant weekly discount going to $126 per night with 7 plus day rental.
