About this property

Waterfront Lake-house. Boathouse. 5 bed/4 bath, Pickwick Lake, Yellow Creek

Yellow Creek Lodge – Spacious Waterfront Retreat with Private Boathouse, Fire Pit & Room for the Whole Family

Yellow Creek Lodge is a private waterfront retreat tucked among the trees on Yellow Creek at Pickwick Lake. Set on more than three wooded acres, this five-bedroom, four-bath home combines the charm of a classic lake lodge with the comfort of modern updates, making it ideal for family vacations, fishing trips, golf weekends, reunions, and multi-generational gatherings.

The location is one of the property's greatest advantages. Guests enjoy a protected cove with an onsite double-enclosed boathouse while remaining just minutes from the open water of Pickwick Lake. Aqua Yacht Harbor Marina, Sportsman's One-Stop boat ramp, Grand Harbor Marina, restaurants, groceries, and fuel are all nearby, making it easy to spend more time on the water and less time driving.

Inside, the home is entirely on one level and designed for groups to gather comfortably. The vaulted great room features warm knotty pine walls, exposed beams, a stone fireplace, a pool table, a large HDTV, and plenty of seating for watching the game, playing cards, or relaxing after a day on the lake. A second living area adjoining the kitchen offers another fireplace, additional seating, and a separate television space so everyone can spread out and enjoy their own activities.

The fully remodeled kitchen is equipped for feeding the whole family. Quartz countertops, two full-size ovens, a gas range, a dishwasher, a beverage station, a Keurig, a traditional coffee maker, and ample cookware make meal preparation easy, whether you're cooking breakfast for the family or hosting a holiday dinner. Tankless water heaters ensure plenty of hot water even with a full house.

Sleeping accommodations are thoughtfully arranged for both privacy and flexibility. Three king suites each feature a private ensuite bathroom, while two additional bedrooms each contain two full-size beds and share a full bathroom. The layout comfortably accommodates families and groups while giving everyone their own space at the end of the day.

Step outside and you'll discover why guests return year after year. Enjoy morning coffee on the large shaded deck overlooking the wooded property and boathouse. Spend evenings around the rustic fire pit under the string lights while sharing stories and roasting marshmallows. Children can enjoy the swing set and open yard, while adults relax among the mature trees and peaceful surroundings.

Boaters and anglers will especially appreciate the private double-enclosed boathouse with electricity, lighting, and dock access. The protected cove provides calm water, and the home's paved parking area offers ample room for boat trailers and vehicles.

When you're ready to explore, Pickwick offers something for everyone. Play a round at Pickwick Landing State Park's championship golf course, visit nearby Shiloh National Military Park, explore museums in Savannah and Corinth, enjoy local restaurants, play disc golf, or cruise the lake and discover its many coves.

Yellow Creek Lodge is best suited for families and responsible groups seeking a relaxing lake getaway. The home is located in a residential neighborhood and welcomes guests who will enjoy the property respectfully while creating lasting memories with family and friends. No house parties, pets, or fireworks are permitted. Guests must be at least 30 years old to reserve the property.

Bring your boat, gather your favorite people, and experience one of Pickwick's most comfortable and convenient waterfront retreats.

Note: We always like to confirm YCL is a good fit for our guests. Before your reservation is confirmed, please expect a short email from us.

We are an active family who enjoy the outdoors. As our family grew, we realized the costs of travelling combined with limited time made it a challenge to get far from home. We opted to find a happy-lake cabin within an easy drive from our home.

Why they chose this property

We chose Yellow Creek Lodge because of the level (relative to others) lot, proximity to the water, enclosed double boathouse, 5 acres and the interior of the cabin has the charm of 'old Pickwick'. The level interior of the cabin along with the five bedrooms and four full baths give everyone easy access and plenty of space.

What makes this property unique

Vintage Pickwick. Enclosed double boathouse. Drive-able to the boathouse, but easier to walk. No steps or stairs inside the cabin. Screened and lighted grill house. 5 acres. Three swings. Outdoor, simple fire pit (wood provided). In the winter, the creek running along the property is great for floating boats or exploring. Less than 2 miles to groceries, restaurants, marinas and public boat ramp.
