The Laurel Run Cottage is nestled in the rolling hills of Southeast, Ohio while still remaining close to nearby restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The cottage boasts 3 comfortable bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large living spaces, and a spacious kitchen. Traveling is a breeze when you stay with us as the lodge is fully equipped with great amenities. Property offers an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and great quality time. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.
You are centrally located to all Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville have to offer allowing you to explore all of Southeast, Ohio! Our guests are minutes from Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Ohio University, and countless state lakes. Come explore, experience, and enjoy the great outdoors and the beautiful rolling hills of Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest.

When you stay at this property, you will find yourself having relaxing days and cozy nights giving you the sense of being at home away from home. This lovely 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom Nelsonville home comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, making it a great location for a fun Hocking Hills family vacation or an extended weekend with friends. You are welcomed to a charming front porch that has two porch swings.

Upon entering the property, there is a spacious main living room, full equipped kitchen, sitting area, and 3 comfortable bedrooms. You and your guests can get cozy next to the electric fireplace on the large sectional in the main living room. The flat screen TV allows you to watch a suspenseful movie with a buttery bowl of popcorn. After a long day of hiking, head back to the farmhouse to enjoy homemade dishes. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the amenities and appliances needed for a getaway. Grab fresh ingredients from our local Kroger located in town or drive 15 minutes down the road to enjoy some of our favorite local restaurants!

When you get tired, rest in the comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom comes with a ceiling fan, flatscreen TV, and extra blankets – keeping you and your guests comfortable and relaxed. If you want to keep your packing to minimum, no need to stress because there is a washer and dryer that can be utilized throughout your entire stay.

This is a beautiful area, and a lovely cottage. We ended up arriving a little late, but the host was very accommodating. Everything we needed was available. Towels, linens, pots & pans.

Loved the fire pit and the hot tub. The hot tub wasn’t very hot though. It was set at 93 or four and we weren’t allowed to turn it up. The place was fairly clean, except the window blinds needed a good cleaning. We had a great time.

Girls weekend

We had a great time in Nelsonville/Hocking Hills. Close to shopping and restaurants. Very cute house and property, loved the 2 living rooms/family rooms and very nice porch! Plenty of space for just the 3 of us.

LAUREL RUN IN HOCKING HILLS

The cold water handle in the shower was broken and half the hot tub jets did not work. The house smelt musty and needed deep cleaned badly.

Nice location for Hocking Hills hiking

Everyone in the group enjoyed the property and their stay. It's an older house, so those should be your expectations (and yes, there were some old house quirks). We had 6 in our group, and there was plenty of room. Easy drive to Hocking Hills for day hiking trips and to town for groceries, etc.

Very cozy farm house

The only issue we had was the hot tub was not hot the first night and the lights don't work in it so it was pretty dark, which was ok because the stars are amazing.

Weekend family getaway

The house was clean and very spacious. It was equipped with everything we needed. Great location… close enough to everything we wanted to do. We needed a late arrival on a Friday night which was not an issue at all. Communication with the owners was excellent. When we are back in the area we will definitely be booking the same house or at least something from the same owners.

Nice Basic Rental House

House was older and did show its age in a few different ways. But provided us with everything needed for a quick family trip. Pretty quiet in the house and around even with traffic coming by on the road. Perfect house for an inexpensive no frills relaxing trip.

Christmas stay

The Laurel Run Farmhouse was a great place for our family Christmas. It was so sweet that the house was decorated for the holidays and the Christmas tree was a wonderful touch. It was a good location and we explored the area including Athens, Nelsonville, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave and Old Man Cave. The house was cozy and had great kitchen and ample space for everyone to hang out We enjoyed the hot tub too. Thanks for making a memorable holiday for us at Hocking Hills!
