Porto: Apartment/ flat - PORTO

The guest and his wife arrived on August 23, at check in the guest presented no remark, on the contrary all was OK. Note that the weather was exceptionally wet for August and the day after, “On August 24, 2026, Porto experienced heavy rains and thunderstorms with yellow warnings issued for precipitation” (text collected from weather forecast). But this does not all justify the comment “the place was musty almost mildewey”. When the guest left the flat on August 24 I went there with the lady who makes the cleaning and neither of us remarked any traces or smell of mildew in the bedroom. And note that the guest has made the evaluation only two weeks after their stay.

Shelley and Cliff came to our flat after one week luxury cruise in the Douro valley. They have been very nice guests. Our flat, in an XVIII century building, cannot be compared to a luxury cruise but location of the flat and the river view is great, as Shelley recognized, so I just regret that the evaluation they have given is so low.

Thank you for your comments. In fact this flat is at the top floor, excellent views. As it is an XVIII century building, no lift. We are now installing an air extractor because of the humidity in the bathroom when you shower which provoques the mould stains.
