Historic Bastide, Luberon, Provence – 7 Bed, 6 Bath – 9 Adults + 6 Children

Large family home – fully restored 18th-century Provençal bastide, full of character with original stonework and traditional terracotta tomettes floors. The house can accommodate a maximum of 15 guests (9 adults + 6 children), plus 2 babies.

NO WEDDINGS, PARTIES OR EVENTS.

Set at the end of a long driveway lined with pine trees and holm oaks, the house sits in the heart of its own 30 hectares (74 acres) of private woodland, shaded by magnificent century-old plane trees. Despite its peaceful and secluded setting, it is only 4 km from a charming Luberon village, with a bakery, restaurant, bars, newsagent/tobacconist, grocery shop and post office.

UNHEATED SWIMMING POOL, secured by a lockable electric safety cover, but THERE IS NO SAFETY FENCE AROUND THE POOL.
POOL TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED, so please remember to bring your own.

The terraced garden offers plenty of activities: table tennis, pétanque, darts, a PRIVATE FLOODLIT SYNTHETIC-GRASS TENNIS COURT, numerous board games, books and DVDs. There are also lovely walks directly from the property. Explore the markets of the Luberon, beautiful Provençal villages less than 30 minutes away, and the many excellent restaurants in the area.

The house is ideal for family holidays with children and teenagers, with plenty of space for everyone to spend time together or enjoy some privacy. There is a TV room with DVDs and a library (no TV channels), a summer room with large glass doors and a large table seating 10 for meals or board games, and a spacious main living room with a fireplace and grand piano.

The house is arranged over three floors:

Ground floor:

* One double bedroom with private shower room and WC

* Covered courtyard with table tennis table

First floor:

* Master double bedroom with dressing room, private shower room and WC
* One bedroom with a 140 cm double bed
* Laundry room with direct outdoor access for drying clothes

Second floor:

* One double bedroom with private shower room
* One double bedroom with a baby cot
* Two children’s bedrooms (with two double beds and two bunk beds in total)
* Family bathroom with shower, bathtub and double washbasins

In total: 5 bedrooms for 9 ADULTS (four 160 cm beds and one 140 cm bed) plus 2 CHILDREN’S BEDROOMS.

THE HOUSE DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING.
Fans are provided in every bedroom.

Summer rate: €6,000 per week, including cleaning and bed linen (excluding Abritel/VRBO service fees).

Check-in: from 5:00 pm on Saturday (or Sunday).
Check-out: by 10:00 am, unless otherwise agreed with Brigitte, our trusted local house manager.

Please note that TWO CATS LIVE ON THE PROPERTY (they do not sleep inside the house). For this reason, we are unable to accommodate guests’ pets.
