This property is in a great location, within walking distance of everything. We stayed in Telluride for some peace and relaxation, we definitely got that, staying here. Could hear the river flowing at night, while we slept. We walked to a little grocery store, grabbed some sandwiches and macaroni salad...went back to the lodge and ate lunch on their deck. They have a super cozy place, where they have breakfast, also. We'll definitely be back!!!

A quaint older location.
I loved that it was right next to the creek and very close to shops and restaurants in Telluride.
Had no idea it was so close to the hill. The hot tub was awesome. Walking distance to everything I’ll definitely be back

Close to everything yet still very peaceful
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was great...within a few blocks of everything yet still very peaceful since it's right next to the river. We were happily surprised that the bed is a Tempur-Pedic. The staff at Alpine Lodging was great! I highly recommend this lodge!
The managers were wonderful and very friendly. They even had breakfast and snacks available. Unfortunately we had to abruptly leave after one night due to a death in the family but will be back again soon.
Fun, western decor with comfortable bed. It was great going to sleep to the sound of the river. We were mostly out and about during our stay but we did enjoy wine and cheese on the outdoor patio. Common areas were nice and the hot tub was very clean.
Stayed with a few friends for a 4 night stay. Enjoyed how close it was to everything in town. The stream running just outside this unit was relaxing at night.
Overall it was a good stay. The creek running by the window outside was terrific. The group kitchen area was great. The only challenge was the parking, but we made it work
We had the pleasure of staying at Manitou Lodge Room 5 that had a beautiful view. The property manager Retta was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us suggestions for beautiful drives, hikes and great places to eat. We had a great time and would definitely go back.
The property location was fanastic- right next to a babbling brook and just a few minutes walk from the gondola. The trailhead for bridal veil falls ran right by the property. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location by the creek. Some late night noise from party people on the path below, but you’re probably gonna get that anywhere in Tellrude. Absolutely terrific host. Super helpful, great communication

Great Location
The Manitou Lodge puts everything in Telluride within easy walking distance. Hiking trails start right outside the door. Other, more challenging trails start within a five minute walk to the other side of town. The two people who prepare breakfast, Frank and Joan, do excellent work. Management responds with alacrity to any special request. I gave the Lodge four stars instead of five because we were under the impression that we had our own kitchen when we had to share a kitchen with four other rooms.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disappointing
Place was deserted until exactly 4:00 pm check-in time. Repeated efforts to contact management before then were futile. Room was not especially clean. And it was tiny! Tiny bathroom, tiny loft bedroom. Parking is a challenge requiring a city permit and luck in finding a spot near the footbridge leading to the inn. TV channels limited. This place overpriced, shopworn, and poorly managed!

Great location and rustic!
Just stayed here overnight on our family road trip! Front office staff was friendly (needed to pick up parking pass)! I’m sure like most places in Telluride, you are within walking distance of everything so that was good! I have to say that finding close parking to the lodge was a major challenge due to all the area construction - that was the only downside!
Enjoyed staying right near the stream and walking trail! Our room was rustic - fit 3 of us okay - I can’t imagine much more than that.
We were surprised to learn that they offered free continental breakfast in Our own breakfast room in our building which was fantastic - small room but really a great variety of breakfast foods to start the day off right! Thank-you!
