We came for a wedding and needed something clean and affordable but still in close proximity to town. This was a great location and walked to dinner/breakfast everyday! Only a couple min walk from the gondolas too. The checkin process was easy, owners communication of the place was perfect, and the parking adjacent to our room was convenient. Perfect for what we needed and would stay here again!
This unit has everything I needed. I was able to cook my meals, ski in at the end of the day, short walk to the lift in the mornings, the building was very quiet and perfect place to rest at night. Would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay here. There was a creekside path we walked to restaurants and shops and the gondola. The front desk people were so helpful and we were even able to do a load of laundry in the area behind the registration desk. Also enjoyed a soak in the outdoor not tub.
This is a great place, but a little dated like most places in Telluride for the price. I stayed there for 2 and a half weeks and really enjoyed the easy access to the lifts and easy short walk to town for dinner. I do recommend the place for one or two people. I had my dog and they had everything necessary including dog bags outside. If you are traveling with your dog, this is the place to stay.

Tiny Old Room
Picture looked nicer than the room actually was. Very small for three people. Oldest property in the area. Good thing we were out and about most of the time
If you want to stay in Telluride and have walking access to it all, this is a great option. Just know that the room is very basic. Everything in Telluride is extravagantly expensive, so even a basic room like this will cost a pretty penny. Don't try to compare it to what you get for the same cost elsewhere - it won't match. Besides, if you want to stay in Telluride to see Telluride, the room is essentially for sleeping. Get outside and explore!
This room is in bldg 4 on the mountain side on the ground floor. So really amongst the best of the rooms at the Mountainside Inn. Lovely big windows where you can watch skiers come down to Coonskin Lift. You could hike up to this trail and ski down to Coonskin lift and even ski back to the room. If you did ski back, you would be ignoring the advice of the sign! We didn't use the kitchen but it looked well equipped. Room was clean (though somebody forgot to vacuum behind the couch) Overall, we'd book again without hesitation.
Paper towel holder broken,no door on the freezer, soda exploded all over the fridge, heat lamp out in the bathroom, can’t hang up clothes,no space, light over stove out,tv not working. It was so out dated. I was embarrassed to have anybody come over and it was my nieces wedding. So embarrassed. I thought it was going be nice for the price which was hard for me to save for. I would never recommend.
We were very excited to visit Telluride, even more excited when we found a pet friendly room. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the best ‘pet friendly’ experience. We got a call that our dogs were barking, I went to the room immediately and no barking was heard at any point from the outside of the building to our door. The upstairs guests were stomping around way past ‘quiet hours’.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy

no blankets, cold shower and barking dogs
Property was clean and listed accurately from aesthetic point of view, but the front desk was incredibly unfriendly, dogs were barking in the adjacent rooms, the shower was cold, and there were no blankets for the bed. Disappointed.
Me and my two friends were looking for a one night stay somewhere downtown Telluride after backpacking. This was the perfect place (and great location). You'll be outside 90% of your time here, so a clean bed and bathroom is all you'll need.
Very clean and quiet property. Excellent location. Ski in and very short walk to the lift. Also short walk to historic downtown shopping district and free gondola to Mountain Village. Close to bus stop but not really necessary.
