Host profile image
We’re Lydia and Lieven, a family living in the heart of the Kent countryside. We love the peacefulness of village life, outdoor walks with our children (and dog!), and welcoming people from all over to share the special place we call home. Hosting gives us the chance to meet lovely guests and help them unwind, explore nature, and make lasting memories—whether it’s a weekend getaway or a family gathering.

Why they chose this property

We chose this area for its perfect balance of countryside bliss and connection. The peaceful setting, surrounded by woodland and riverside walks, offers a true escape into nature. Yalding itself is a vibrant village with a warm community spirit, full of charm and history. At the same time, we love that London is just a short train ride away—ideal when we’re in the mood for a dose of city culture, galleries, or a good meal out. It really gives us the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

What makes this place special is the care and thought we've put into every detail. We live adjacent to the cottages, which means we're nearby if you ever need help or local recommendations—but your space and privacy are fully respected. The cottages are designed to feel comfortable, calm, and family-friendly, with beautiful gardens, woodland, a tennis court, and direct access to countryside walks. It’s a peaceful setting where guests can truly unwind.
