Thank you so much, Julie. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay and would be very happy to welcome you back. All the best and thank you for staying with us here in Yalding!
Every was excellent, from the easy check-in through to the thoughtfulness of every detail and the excellent property with premium features. The hosts were so kind and accommodating
Our guests (Best men and partners) enjoyed a great stay at this property whilst we (Groom and family) stayed at the adjoining cottage). It was perfect - clean, comfortable and wonderful garden and grounds for photos. Hosts were a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommended.
We had a short 2 night stay at Lavender cottage and could easily have done a few more - really clean, comfy beds amazing grounds and most importantly nice and quiet :)
Fantastic cottage for family visit. 3 x double beds all with bathrooms Comfortable living area and fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful garden with tennis court. A lovely rural property with everything to make a perfect holiday stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the property. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed and suited our needs absolutely perfectly. Our hosts were helpful before and during our visit. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Many thanks for a fantastic start to our holiday.
We stayed here as 3 couples. The property was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The gardens were fabulous just a shame the weather wasn’t always on our side to enjoy them more. Definitely recommend this property. Thank you

great family place for a relaxing country holiday
the place was lovely and the the gardens were great too, the owners are kind too, as is a shared garden with the owners, they were having a family celebration and there guests had children who where very friendly and played with out kids,
there are only two faults with the place, no slip mats in the showers so dangerous and no rail on the outside stairs which are dangerous for a child and elderly holiday makers, also listed as wheelchair friendly you would struggle getting to the garden in the chair but everything in the house was usable if in a chair.
i would defiantly stay here again

Hi We are sorry that you did not see the slip mats which were under the sinks in the bathrooms. I apologise for not pointing it out when I showed you around.Thank you for the feedback
We rented these cottages to meet up as a family for our daughters wedding. They were immaculate with plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. Loved that the cottages were interconnected from the back terraces. Hosts were very helpful and prompt answering all my questions. Just wish we could have stayed longer!
First and most importantly, Lieven and Lydia are the perfect hosts, very responsive, helpful and welcoming. Woodland Cottages are also well equipped and family friendly, and our children enjoyed the very large backyard and adventure playset.
Stayed for a long weekend with friends to attend a wedding. Ideal place for accomodation fot all 6 of us plenty of communal space for socialising dinners and drinks. Groinds lovely. Staff professional and friendly. Great weekend.
We really enjoyed this property. Location is great for country walks, and serenity. The property is very clean, light and airy.
We’ll definitely be back.
My family stayed for just over a week, the garden and tennis court is great, lots of space for children to play. The location is very peaceful. The owners were super helpful. Thanks
Beautiful spot near great local walks, but within a lovely garden with a well maintained tennis court.
Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Definitely one to revisit!

Perfect & comfortable days at a lovely cottage.
We felt home & comfortable at the wonderful cottage. Modern kitchen & barhrooms, a cosy living room, very friendly host, a great garden. Perfect spot to relax & discover beautiful Kent and the Southeast (White Cliffs at Dover, Canterbury, Bodiam Castle and so on).
For a person in a wheelchair only with a assistant person useable (Entrance, terrace), the house itself is on one level with enough space for the wheelchair.

Extremely comfortable in a beautiful setting
Lavender Cottage is very well equipped, smartly decorated and a very comfortable place for a vacation. The owners have gone out of their way to make it welcoming, and the entire rental process was professional and completely uneventful.
The location is gorgeous and encourages one to take advantage of the veranda for meals.
We would have no hesitation in renting again if we had the opportunity to stay in the area again.

Heerlijke vakantiewoning in Yalding
Groetjes fam. Huisman, Alblasserdam

Good facilities and nicely maintained, comfortable cottage
We, 3 generations, have spent 3 nights at the Lavender cottage for mother's 92th birthday, the owner not only supplied a very thoughtful welcome pack which contains milk, bread, butter, a nice bottle of white wine and a large bottle of home-made very delicious apple juice but also warmly introduced the cottage and the local services.
It was a pleasant short stay and can play tennis there with children was an enhanced leisure, the cottage located in a quiet area, nice to hear more birds singing in the early morning, the cottage is very close to a teapot exhibition that has collected 8000 different designed pieces from the world.
The owner is very helpful and communicated very well with us for answering our enquiries also the cottage facilities are excellent and convenient. We have recommended this lovely cottage to our friends.

About the host
Hosted by Lieven & Lydia
We’re Lydia and Lieven, a family living in the heart of the Kent countryside. We love the peacefulness of village life, outdoor walks with our children (and dog!), and welcoming people from all over to share the special place we call home. Hosting gives us the chance to meet lovely guests and help them unwind, explore nature, and make lasting memories—whether it’s a weekend getaway or a family gathering.
Why they chose this property
We chose this area for its perfect balance of countryside bliss and connection. The peaceful setting, surrounded by woodland and riverside walks, offers a true escape into nature. Yalding itself is a vibrant village with a warm community spirit, full of charm and history. At the same time, we love that London is just a short train ride away—ideal when we’re in the mood for a dose of city culture, galleries, or a good meal out. It really gives us the best of both worlds.
What makes this property unique
What makes this place special is the care and thought we've put into every detail. We live adjacent to the cottages, which means we're nearby if you ever need help or local recommendations—but your space and privacy are fully respected. The cottages are designed to feel comfortable, calm, and family-friendly, with beautiful gardens, woodland, a tennis court, and direct access to countryside walks. It’s a peaceful setting where guests can truly unwind.
