Saint Antonin is a beautiful medieval village. It has a bustling Sunday food market as well as bars and restaurants, excellent boulangeries and patisseries, supermarket, bank, post office, pharmacies, art galleries and even a cinema with regular English films. For children the open countryside and the rivers provide a natural playground of excitement and adventure. Saint Antonin is also a particularly good place for outdoor activities such as canoeing/kayaking, caving, climbing, cycling, hang gliding, swimming, tennis or simply walk and enjoy the stunning scenery.

A region of valleys, rivers, gorges, lakes, a land of water and stone warming under sunny azure blue skies. Tarn-et-Garonne offers an endless array of activities for every generation, from gentle pursuits such as fishing in the many rivers and lakes in the area, to rambling through the wonderful gorges and valleys discovering the hidden beauty of the medieval bastide towns that populate this department.

Cordes-sur-Ciel (25 mins drive) is a breathtaking 13th Century bastide. The walk to the very top is well worth the effort for the panoramic views alone. Najac (40 mins drive) is another bastide in a stunning setting high above the river Aveyron. There is a beautiful walk towards the 13th Century chateau through streets unchanged for centuries.
Albi (50 mins drive) is the birthplace of the famous artist Toulouse-Lautrec, and with a superb museum holding hundreds of his works. Sainte Cecile Cathedral is a dominating architectural highlight. The town centre is a lovely place to spend a day in the cafes and restaurants. Gaillac (50 mins drive) is one of the oldest and most famous wine growing regions in France. The huge variety of wines from the area should please all tastes, and it is a fascinating area to explore.

Excellent Location for River and Town
Extremely well equipped property with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It is very peaceful and surrounded by wildlife; birds and frogs singing, butterflies and insects. The property was cool even though the weather was very hot, so don't let lack of Air Con put you off. Short walk to the river and the town. The town is stunning with beautiful buildings and friendly locals. It has a very laid back peaceful atmosphere- exactly what you need on holiday!

Home from home
The apartment is incredibly well equipped with everything we needed for a week’s stay, from beach towels to sun hats! Even though the weather was really hot, the house stayed cool and comfortable. Perfect location for walking to the river and the town.

No room for improvement.
Small but perfectly formed, generously equipped and delightfully located, the property was a delight. Add a warm, considerate and generous host and our holiday was first class.

Everything you could need for a great stay and in an excellent location.
We have just had a week here and loved it. The apartment is immaculate and very well equipped, we couldn't think of anything that needed adding. What did surprise us is how well stocked the apartment is. Carolyn is very generous with the 'starter pack'. Most places leave a welcoming bottle of wine, but here there was a white a rose and a red! Lots of other things included like butter, cheese, jam, tea, coffee, milk, bread, I could go on. The property is in a very private and peaceful location, but it really is just three minutes walk from the centre of Saint Antonin. It has a lovely, partly covered terraced area overlooking the river with a good choice of seating and seating areas. The surrounding area offers plenty of trips to discover the nearby villages and Chateaux and the market in Saint Antonin on Sunday mornings is unmissable. If you are looking for a relaxing, away from it all holiday, with the convenience of the village shops, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, this is an ideal location. If you want a little more activity, the river provides a nearby beach for swimming and lots of canoeing options. In summary, a great apartment that should appeal to a wide range of Francophiles.

Lovely apartment with stunning views
A lovely apartment with stunning views.Although it is only minutes to walk into town it is in a really peaceful setting. The apartment is really well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.Carolyn the owner couldn't be more helpful and is on hand if needed. The covered terrace was both handy to sit under when it rained and equally to provide shade on hot days. A generous welcome basket was much appreciated and enjoyed! We wish Carolyn every success with her new life in France after all the hard work that has gone into making this a lovely property.

Having finally taken the plunge and moved from England to France, I'm enjoying living in the beautiful village of Saint Antonin. It's a wonderful experience with so much to learn and enjoy. I love cooking and am working my way through French recipe books and this year aim to grow more in the garden and expand my recipe collection to include more vegetarian.
