Get away from it all in this luxuriantly appointed, beautiful 4-bedroom home with spectacular water and territorial views. So quiet all you can hear is the swish of birds’ wings.
Samadhi House is perched atop Mt. Dallas, the highest point on San Juan Island in Washington state. It boasts spectacular views of Haro Strait (separates the US from Canada), the Canadian Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island, and forested mountains. Surrounded by the glories of NW nature, you can’t see a single house. But you will watch as cruise liners silently head towards Alaska and eagles and hawks soar overhead. You may even spot the occasional whale breaching in the Strait. At night, you’ll see the distant lights of Victoria and Sydney B.C. The perfect private retreat! In addition, you will enjoy art collected from around the world, and can relax and heal in our Sunlighten infrared sauna.

Samadhi house is a perfect getaway for those seeking peace, exquisite views, and fun on the island. Ideal for families and mature adults. Not appropriate for those seeking a spot to party. Owner/manager on premises in separate housing. (See pictures.)

Do not attempt to access locked closets or cabinets. At Checkout, leave all garbage inside the outdoor bins located outside lower sliding glass door.
Do not disturb or disconnect the outdoor security cameras. These only show us the entrances and are there for security purposes.

Samadhi House contains many of the artifacts of our life of travel and study, including indigenous art from Asia, India, Africa, Peru, and North America. We share it with the hopes that you will find the same peace here that we find.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with San Juan Island many years ago and have been coming up here to write for 7 or more years. We have looked and looked for our house. When we saw this one we knew we were home.

What makes this property unique

Samadhi House allows for complete peace. We love the view from the master bedroom, the view from the chaise lounge in the living room (with a good book of course and binoculars near by), the view from the downstairs great room and the feeling of the whole house.
