Haystack - Family Garcês

An old haystack, inserted between the vineyards grown on the property.
Located on the Costa da Laurissilva, at Sítio da Terra Chã, 5 minutes walk from the same village.

It is 30 minutes from Funchal and 45 minutes from Madeira Airport.

The property has a total area of 5050 m2, where agricultural activity is carried out for consumption, with many fruit trees and laurels (laurel). An activity that is contemplated in the agricultural activity, is the culture of the vine for consumption (the traditional vine Jaqué and the strawberry vine, traditionally known as American grape in the Madeira Archipelago). The wine is produced in the property's mill, a traditional Madeiran stick and spindle mill (where customers can participate in these works if they wish) and later the wine is kept at the Adega / Museu Garcês.

Upon arrival, guests are offered a wine produced on the property by the managing partners. There is a day in the week when the wines produced on the property are tasted, if there is interest in the customers.

On the property there is a traditional Madeiran steakhouse (with oven, barbecue area and home) to be used by customers.

There is a bicycle rental service (adult and child), so that customers can visit the interior of the village and surroundings.

Free Wi-Fi system inside and outside the haystack.

The living room with sofa bed and TV (DTT), private and personalized toilet, balconies overlooking the vineyards of the property, valleys and surrounding mountains.

Possibility of preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

The property is a 3-minute drive from the São Vicente Caves and Volcanism Center, the pharmacy, supermarket, traditional Madeiran dining area, post office and the sea / beach for surfing.

The daily rate shown is for two people per night, plus the amount for each extra person, up to the indicated number of people.
