Gorgeous getaway near the beach!

Gated, just a block or so from the water (although hill is steep.) Everything we could have needed was provided in the kitchen, including basics like salt, pepper, oil, vinegar. No soap or shampoo in the shower, though. Know that the toilet is, like the bedrooms, accessible off the back wall of the open air living space, not directly accessible from the bedrooms, which have a shower and sink each. When the description says "shower only", it literally means the shower and the sink, no toilet. Also A/C only works at night, if that is a consideration for you. We were certainly comfortable outside in the shade in January. The pool is cool so you can always take a cooling dip. Great ocean breeze. The view was incredible, perfect sunrises, and there are sun shades if the sun gets to be too much. Laundry just a few steps away, shared with the other unit. Hubert is very helpful. We hope to return some day!

Stayed one night, owner kept payment for three weeks

We booked for three weeks and stayed for only one night because the apartment was simply not suitable for our needs and not as we had expected it based on description and pictures. Getting to the apartment was not easy because if you follow the googlemaps link on the webpage to apartment, it leads you to a wrong street which is a dead end on a pretty steep hill. It would have been helpful if there had been a better description of how to get there. The place is described as a villa but the layout is such that there are two separate rooms that are not connected to each other but only to the terrace. Essentially, it is the layout of two adjacent garages. Each room is very small, I would guess 8-10 square meters. In between these two rooms is the toilette. We were traveling with our baby. Leaving the baby in a room that is not at all attached to our sleeping room, which has a separate door to the outside and from where sound would not travel was not an option for us. The only option was to put the baby bed in our room which meant that you could no longer walk around the bed because the room was so small. Also, the owner programmed electricity in such a way that the aircon would only start operating from 8 pm onwards. Not a big deal if you are traveling with grown-ups but with a baby that sleeps before 8 pm, this was a problem. When we arrived at around 7 pm with a baby that was clearly tired, the owner did not offer to switch the aircon on. The rooms have no real windows. The side facing the terrace only had the door and no windows. The door was a wooden door so that neither light nor air would come through. On the backside of the room, there were two “windows” facing a ditch where some construction appeared to take place. These were not glass windows but essentially window shutters without an actual window. We were told this was the standard in Martinique but we did not find this to be true. This setting essentially meant that when inside, we felt like in a tiny pitch dark box - and unbearably hot anytime before 8 pm and after early morning. The terrace itself was nice with a nice view of the sea. But to us, the evening and sleeping situation was such that we decided to leave after one night. No refund was given even though we had paid for the full three weeks and the description had clearly been misleading and omitted crucial information. The owner did not accept this and kept the full prepayment, which was a lot of money.

Very surprised at your dissatisfaction. I think you should have talked to me about it instead of leaving without saying anything. I even worried that I wouldn't see you anymore. you made a mistake when you made your reservation because your child was not yet, you yourself explained it to me by email well after your return to the country. too bad. Please do not blame the accommodation that everyone has enjoyed for 7 years. Communication would have made it possible to find an arrangement. Sorry for you

Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans ce petit coin de paradis. Nous avons pu profiter des belles plages alentours, crapahuter au Morne Larcher pour entretenir notre forme, et nous prélasser dans les hamacs sur la belle terrasse. Pas encore partis, nous rêvons déjà de revenir !

Superbe

Ce logement a une vue extraordinaire, terrasse et cuisine extérieure très agréables. L’emplacement est parfait pour se balader .Très calme et bonne literie avec des chambres climatisées. Hubert est charmant, réactif et de bons conseils !! On n’est pas du tout déranger par le logement à côté et c’est même plutôt chouette quand vous tombez sur des voisins sympas!! Je recommande vivement et je pense que nous relouerons à notre prochain voyage!!

Un superbe séjour avec une vue imprenable de jour comme de nuit!

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour chez Hubert. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Chez lui, nous sommes bercés par les vagues et les traditionnelles grenouilles des Antilles. La nuit est des plus étoilée là-bas. Le lever de soleil est quant à lui à couper le souffle... Le Diamant est un bon choix car les commerces nombreux et à proximité. C'est très joli. Proche des magnifiques plages d'Arlet, si vous aimez le snorkeling, avec ses tortues et ses poissons par bancs entiers! Une position intéressante pour le sud de l'île. Hubert nous a rendu un fier service alors que notre voiture était en panne, proche du dépôt de voitures et alors que les loueurs de voitures ne répondaient pas. Il est venu nous chercher pour nous ramener chez lui! Nous sommes très reconnaissants... merci encore! Merci aussi pour les moments d'échanges et de conseils autour d'un planteur. C'est ça les vacances. Des moments précieux. Merci pour tout. Bonnes vacances à vous sur cette île magnifique qu'est la Martinique.

Séjour au diamant

Séjour agréable dans un cadre magnifique. Cependant pas de petit dej ni d apéro d accueil,pas de salle de sport (en attente de matériel...), piscine partagée (ça allait car voisins agréables!)et toilettes qui donne sur la terrasse...vaut mieux être à l aise avec ceux avec qui on part☺️. Nous avons pu nettoyer la voiture avant le départ ainsi que prendre une dernière douche avant l aéroport.

La location est agréable mais il est regrettable qu’il ne soit pas précisé dans l’annonce que celle ci est mitoyenne avec une autre location et que de ce fait, la grande terrasse et la piscine sont à partager.

Propriétaire accueillant ,arrangeant disponible . Local technique avec machine à laver, place de parking fermée et privative.Emplacement "vert et mer" au pied du chemin d accès au morne Larcher, et à 3mn à pieds de l' anse Caffard. Le petit bémol est la piscine commune aux deux logements loués située juste devant la pièce de vie qui est open.

Hubert est vraiment sympathique

Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour. Hubert est très accueillant et facile à rejoindre. L’emplacement est idéal entre Diamant et Anse Arlette. Nous sommes au pied du Morne larcher pour les gens qui aime la randonnée. La propriété est très belle et très propre. Nous recommandons cet hébergement.

Merveilleux

Merci à Hubert et Celine pour ce bel endroit qu’ils ont parfaitement organisé. On est au calme dans la nature avec une vue magnifique sur la baie du Diamant. La villa est parfaite pour 4 et nous avons séjourné avec les locataires qui séjournaient à côté avec grand plaisir. Temps de convivialité et de paie. La villa est propre et les lits confortables ! C’était super ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir encore Merci
