Hawaii Kai home is in a Prime Location with circular view of surrounding mountains including Koko Head Mountain. Also includes a view of the Koko Marina from the Lanai. Walking distance to Hanauma Bay (less than a mile), Koko Head Mountain (.5 miles), and Shopping/Restaurants across the street. Remodeled home has 7 bedrooms (5 Queen Beds and 2 Large Bunk Beds for kids) and a huge pool and spa. 2 kitchens, 1 outdoor shower, gas BBQ & outdoors lounge furniture. Home can comfortably sleep up to 16-18 people. Please note that due to the recently passed Bill 89, we will be booking our home once a month to lucky renters. Mahalo. Chris

family reunion in Hawaii Kai

Loved the location and the 2 kitchens and the pool great for all ages It was hard to get used to the hawaiin humidity so we used the pool alot. The air conditioners helped We were close to shopping places which was convenient had a problem with ants but all in all it was a great experience

Amazing Property

We had 9 people and the house and property were perfect for all of us! The pool was beautiful and the view of Koko Crater was lovely! Chris was great to communicate with and was always responsive! I would highly recommend this property to anyone going to Oahu!!

Family vacation

I really loved the location of this house it was absolutely perfect. We loved that there were two living rooms and kitchen where we could separate the kids and adults. The kids enjoyed the pool and at the end of the trip the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Chris is a wonderful host who always answers all my questions. My only suggestion is that the floors get very slippery outside by the pool and inside walking in. We loved all the baby stuff included at the house that was wonderful for our 6 month old and all the pool toys for the older kids. Very well equipped.

The house was extremely clean. Air conditioner units in each bedroom. The other rooms got a little warm at times but just open the windows and the breeze is amazing! Jacuzzi worked great. Pool seems a little chilly but just get in and it’s so refreshing. Tons and tons of towels for bathing, the pool and the beach. Plenty of sand toys, boogie boards, snorkels and masks!! Both kitchens have more than enough of everything you need. With the range of ages we had it was so nice to have 2 living rooms. Plenty of bathrooms. There is a play pen and stroller for the baby which made it nice for mom and dad. Large washer and dryer which made it easy to continually wash towels. Highly recommend this home for a large group. Thank you for having us - it was a pleasure to rent your home 😃

A perfect stay for a large group

This place exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with a large group for our wedding, and this house gave us everything we could possibly want. The rooms had excellent AC units that kept everyone cool at night. Once in the rooms it was almost impossible to know anything else was going on around you, extremely quiet in every room. The beds and pillows were comfortable. It was great having two living room areas, it gave everyone enough space to not feel cramped. Having the windows opened allowed for a great cross breeze and it never felt overly hot. The outdoor area was lovely, the pool and hot tub were enjoyed daily. The kitchens were well stocked and we rarely felt that we didn't have something that we needed. Upon check in one of the rooms breakers was flipped and we didn't realized there were two breakers. The property manager got back to me extremely quickly and helped remedy the problem. The location was fantastic. Very close walking distance to restaurants and basics such as starbucks. The are was very quiet and all the neighbours were very friendly. Ultimately this house is exactly what we needed, and the price was quiet reasonable! I have no complaints about this property and will forever be a part our memories here!

Good but needs some work

We were disappointed upon arrival as there were quite a few issues that needed to be addressed. For example: the air conditioner in the upper master bedroom was so loud it sounded like a jack hammer, the toilet seat in the lower master bedroom was broken, the shower head in the lower master bedroom was broken, there was no way to lock the sliding door in the lower master bedroom which is ground level. After contacting the property manager these issues were dealt with very promptly, just not a great first impression. On top of this the home could use a good deep clean, there were piles of dust and debris in many of the corners and the upper couch is VERY dirty. I had emailed about 2 weeks prior to our arrival asking if there were beach towels, I was told by the owner there were, but upon arrival found there were not any which was very frustrating because we had to go out and buy some. Had we known we would have brought some. There are plenty of white towels, but we were concerned to take these to the beach in fear of staining them. The hot tub needs work, many missing and loose tiles, my son cut his back on a tile and my sister cut her toe. The out door furniture is in very poor condition, mostly unusable. The location is good and easily accessible to almost anywhere on the island. The neighborhood is quite and safe. Walking distance to Walgreens. Safeway and Costco are very close. Hanauma Bay is a 5 minute drive away. Koko head is about 10 minutes away. The beds are comfortable. Overall we were satisfied but this house could really be amazing if these small issues were tended to. The house is great for large groups, we had 14 people (10 adults and 4 children) and there was plenty of room for everyone.

Family vacation

The place was great, location was fabulous, bedrooms for everyone and enough bathrooms for all. The family really enjoyed the pool, even though it wasn't heated, it was warm enough for us, probably in the 70's. Once we got in, it was very refreshing. The early morning and evening hot tub was very much appreciated by all. We also appreciated the two kitchens, as we have a couple of vegans in our group and we were each able to prepare meals without interference. Lots of pool toys, and even though some of the boogie boards were broken, we still used them in the ocean. The place is fully equipped for a baby with a playpen, stroller (which we didn't know about, so brought our own and left it there, so 2 of them now), toddler mattresses and a child gate. There is also water wings for toddlers. There are also lots of spices, which was appreciated, although we did bring some. The only complaint that we had, was that we informed the property manager that the upstairs stove had popped and then half of the burners wouldn't work. He suggested a breaker might have blown, but that wasn't the fact. After being told that as well as the downstairs toilet was leaking clean water, he said he would get right on it. Two weeks later, we still were waiting for him to show up. My son attached the dryer vent to the outside, but couldn't find any caulking to re-caulk the toilet. My other son figured that a fuse had blown in the stove. On a brighter note, we thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this home, and would come back any time.

Great for large groups

My group of 8 adults and 3 kids ages 7, 4 and 11 months old stayed at the rental for a week. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. House was very large and could have comfortably accommodated a larger party. Owner was great to work with. The only unfortunate part about our stay is we were not able to use the pool because it was very windy and the water too cold for swimming. Overall, we loved our stay at the house.

Great Possibilities

The location of the rental was great. Plenty of room for our family of 15. With a little TLC this could be an amazing property. I didn't feel the property was prepared to receive us. A few suggestions would make this rental exceptional. Upon arrival the floors were dirty and a white powder residue was on the counters. The refrigerator was dirty, the trash cans in the garage smelled bad. We are from Indiana and the pool was colder than Lake Michigan. Perhaps a heater for the winter months or a solar blanket would have made it more enjoyable. The way the 2 story house is positioned the sun does not shine on the pool long enough to warm it up. The grill was in poor working order. After a call to the property manager he promptly fixed it as best he could but the grill will need additional repairs or replaced. The dishes, pots, pans and utensils were not evenly distributed between the 2 full kitchens. There was 1 spatula to share between the 2 kitchens for eggs, pancakes, grilled cheese etc... we were constantly going from 1 floor to the next to use the spatula. Providing beach towels, pool and beach equipment was great. The baby gate was much appreciated as we had little ones. A suggestion for a booster seat or high chair would be helpful. Overall the house provided a nice place for our vacation.

2nd Time Renting

Many reviews end by saying that they'd stay there again. Well, in this case we liked this property so much we did stay there a second time, and we'd stay there again a third time!! Our entire extended family of 16 ranging from 1 year old to 51 years old fit comfortably in the house. Even more amazing is that our three vehicles, two mini vans and a Jeep, all fit side by side in the driveway so none had to be parked on the street. The large pool and hot tub are a central gathering point and the kids were in the pool at least three hours a day. During the second week at the house the hot tub began getting a little grungy; one call to the local property manager had pool maintenance on site within a couple of hours for a painless fix. The beach toys and boogie boards are all upgraded and the four boogie boards were the same Costco carries. These are a big step up from the cheapo boogie boards sold in discount stores and made boogie boarding much more enjoyable! Other upgrades are newer air conditioning units in each bedroom and very large newer washer and dryer. The location of this property on Oahu can't be beat. While being situated in a quiet neighborhood, a short walk takes you to Teddy's Bigger Burgers, Kona Brewpub, Leonard's Malasada Truck (not to be missed!), Zippy's, Starbucks, or the movie theater. Hanauma Bay's snorkeling wonderland is one mile away. Awesome boogie boarding, and lots of elbow room on the beach, is 15 minutes away in Waimanalo. 15 minutes in the other direction puts you in Waikiki. Using the two well stocked kitchens and propane BBQ grill saved us a lot of money as we cooked many diners at the house. With Costco, Safeway, and Longs Drug all just 5 minutes away, getting groceries and beverages is painless. Fresh fish from Costco on the grill was a huge hit with all ages! The amazing location and amenities of this house made for an unforgettable and truly amazing vacation for all of us. I would heartily recommend this house to any large family or multiple families vacationing together on Oahu. Joe U.

Perfect location and home

Susie's home was perfect for our family vacation to Hawaii! The close proximity to beaches and some grocery options was a huge plus! We LOVED hiking Koko Head and having a hot tub to relax in after the hike! It's literally just up the road fro Hanauma Bay, which was one of our favorite spots! The kitchens are well equipped with dishes, and cookware. The entire home was honestly exactly what we hoped for and so much more! Thank you!!!

Great family vacation

My wife and I spent 2 weeks in this house with our daughter, son in lW and three children. We had a wonderful time. The kids loved the pool and hot tub, and used both every day. Being close to shopping and restaurants was great, and we would frequently walk to Costco or Safeway (about a 15 min. walk). We very much enjoyed our stay, and would recommend this house for any large group. Thank you to the owners for allowing us a little extra time at check out, so we could get every one and their belongings moved

Perfect for our family

Location was great with shopping, movie theatre and many food places within a short walk. With 5 grandkids ages 10 months to 12 years, the pool was great entertainment for them. It was also very nice to have so many bedrooms to accommodate all ages of kids and adults. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay we would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here.

Just what we expected/hoped for!

This home was in a great neighborhood, close to church, beaches, stores, restaurants, gas stations, and tourist spots. While sometimes it felt a little far away from places that we spent a lot of time at, like Kualoa Ranch, Lai'e, etc., we didn't mind, as it felt like we were coming home each and every time. The property manager/owner really knew how to set this unit up. It came with 13 beach towels, more white/bathroom towels than we counted, a great washer/dryer, extra blankets, sheets, and pillows, and enough beds for more than our party of 15 actually needed. The two kitchens were really convenient, allowing our multiple families flexibility in eating, and especially as we had Thanksgiving at the property, where we needed to cook more than one turkey and all the trimmings. The proximity of the property to stores like Costco and Safeway meant that we were able to buy in bulk in just a matter of minutes, and the BBQ grill in the backyard, though older, was just what we needed to cook up steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs, and other grill items. All the kids/cousins really enjoyed the pool, while all of us older folks, including the grandparents, spent a lot of time in the hot tub, which was hot and ready for us when we arrived. The owner/property management company was flexible with us on check-in and out, and even had a closet full of beach toys, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and more. With two family rooms and TVs/cable and wifi, we were online at home, able to work remotely when needed and watch TV/Youtube/Movies when we needed/wanted to. We can't say enough good things about the property -- thank you to the for helping us get ready to go with the paperwork, as well as having a property that felt like home!

We loved this place!

This was our family dream vacation. Our house had everything we needed, the pool was fun for the kids. We had 13 people staying and it could easily accommodate all of us. The location was great with many shops and restaurants in walking distance. We really enjoyed sharing most meals together. There was a large dining room table in the lower kitchen that we could fit around. I highly recommend this place, can't think of anything I would change. Thanks Suzy for sharing your house with us.

We loved our stay. The location couldn’t have been more perfect!! It was close to everything. We had 11 family members enjoying the 7 bedrooms and 5 baths. The pool was a real plus along with the 2 living areas. The main floor kitchen could use some updating and the couches are very low and soft, but we made it work. I would rent it again! A great time was had by all👍

Outstanding for large groups

This property can accommodate large groups of people in comfort. Bring nothing as this property has it all. Very close to the motorway/freeway with a quick easy drive to Honolulu. Everything you need to enjoy Hawaii was there, beach toys, towels, snorkel and masks, wake boards, you name it. Hot tub and pool with outside access shower, hoses to was off sand, shop vac to get sand out of car, washer and dryer, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, kitchen tools, you name it, its there..Big screen tv's, Wi-Fi, like being at home. 2 complete kitchens, 5 bathrooms. Location 5 minutes from beaches, blowhole, Safeway foods and Costco, mini mall and restaurants. Too much to name.

Was perfect for our family!

Our family of 14 had a great stay at this house. Our ages range from 16 months old to 90 years old and the location was perfect. We walked down to the little shopping center every day and it’s very central to everything. The property manager was wonderful and very prompt with all of our needs. The Annala's 10 day stay at 7223 Nohili St. Honolulu.

Our family were really impressed with your home for our stay. This property was ideal for our 11 family members. More than enough bedrooms, dishes, refrigerators, TV's and table space. Lots of beach toys, chairs, and coolers to take with us to the beaches. The location was awesome as we could go to the Mall for groceries a short distance away. It was also very central for travelling to the east shores and Waikiki also. Not too much complaining about no dish washer as we used paper plates lots and everyone chipped in to help clean up. Please buy some new can openers as the ones there are useless. All in all there were plenty of towels to go around and bedding. We did not use the TV cable access as we just watched Net flicks! Many thanks to the neighbor next door for helping with the garbage and recycling. We had an issue with hot water one day as we used the washing machine several times and 3 showers. The recovery time for hot water was about 6 hours. I called Daven and he had a plumber investigate. The pool & hot tub was the thrill of a lifetime for our granddaughters. Great house though and great Island of Oahu. Thanks again. The Annala Family

Huge Hawaii Home With Pool

We were a family group of 13 of all ages from three to let's just say retired! The neat self contained upstairs downstairs arrangement worked for us. The oldies slept downstairs, the youngies and their kids all upstairs. We loved the space and privacy that the house configuration offered. The grandkids were only a stair climb away. The weather was warm so the wrap around pool and hot tub were a Godsend. Because the owner has a shed with pool floaties as well as snorkels and fins we were able to use freely, everyone enjoyed the pool including the three year old who found his alter-ego Spider-Man floatie suit in the shed. He and Spider-Man became inseparable! With self contained kitchens both upstairs and downstairs, we had breakfast on our respective floors and BBQ dinners on the patio overflowing into the downstairs dining area in the evenings. Each family group took a turn to cook the evening meal for all. Such fun with gourmet meals prepared every night we were home. We discovered a fantastic luau nearby, Chief's with the ocean backdrop behind the outdoor seating and stage area. Tattoos for the kids, weaving and activities for the adults made this evening a memorable conclusion to our trip. Tip: Costco nearby for bulk food shopping so bring your card. Use the well stocked drugstore in the nearby shopping center (walking distance) for random food items you run out of. Shopping center also has a cinema (took the grandkids to a matinee on a dreary day). Also used the nail salon with the grand daughters getting their toenails painted. Ice cream place also a must stop!

Great Location, Large Pool, Ideal For Large Families

First off, the location on the SE side of the island is great. You've got about a 15-25 minute drive to Waikiki / Honolulu depending on traffic. Hawaii Kai has plenty of dining options and the home is close to shopping, entertainment, groceries, etc. The home itself is as advertised. The top and bottom floor are almost identical. On top, you have one master bedroom with full bath, 3 other bedrooms, a shared bath, and a kitchen/living area. On bottom, you have another master bedroom with full bath, 2 other bedrooms, a shared bath, and a kitchen/living area. The kitchens do not have dishwashers, so you'll wash your own dishes (this really wasn't a problem for us, just a minor inconvenience). The washer/dryer is in the garage. Each bedroom has its own A/C unit which comes in handy. They work fairly well to cool things down, but it's really not needed especially at night. We did alternate between using A/C and opening windows and allowing the breeze through the home. Be aware of the hot water supply when showering - we ran out a few times when everyone showered back-to-back. It's not surprising so we just staggered our showering for the rest of the trip. The living space was a bit on the small side but that's clearly stated and shown in the property description. We had a group of 10 and were able to all eat together in the lower level eating area. The pool and lanai area were great. The grill outdoors was a nice option for cooking and there was plenty of seating out there. The pool itself was LARGE and the hot tub was a nice touch. There's even a bathroom out there which is a great idea to shower off after a day at the beach or so the kids don't have to run in the house wet to use the bathroom. Overall, this was one of the few properties on the island that fit our budget and had enough space for our large family, a pool, and was anywhere near Honolulu. For that reason alone, I would absolutely recommend it to others. You just can't find many properties with this size, location, amenities, and price.

I am an avid sports fan and love the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers. I also love working out. Climbing Koko Head mountain (located about a half mile from our Hawaii House) is one of the things I truly look forward to when staying at the home.

Why they chose this property

This one is easy. This property is located in one of the best cities that I've ever visited, Hawaii Kai. I have good friends that live nearby and use to visit them on my annual trips to Hawaii. The city is safe, clean, and nearby everything. Koko Head Shopping center is located .2 miles from the house and includes a movie theater, Walgreens, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Supercuts, Zippy's, a gas station, and a wide array of find dining (at budget to gourmet price ranges). This home is also located minutes from world famous tourist attractions including Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve (.8 miles away), Koko Head State Park (.5 miles away), Hawaii Kai Beach Park (1 mile away), Sandy Beach (4 miles away), Hawaii Kai Golf Course (4 miles away), and world famous Waikiki (10 miles away).

What makes this property unique

This is my dream home, ladies and gentlemen. The location is very important as it is walking distance to everything. If you wanted to go without a car, that would not be an issue. The home itself features 7 bedrooms. 5 bedrooms have Queen beds with 2 of the rooms having an additional futon. The other 2 bedrooms have a full and twin bunk beds. There's also a Queen Size Sectional couch so the home can sleep up to 18 people comfortably. The home also features a downstairs living room/dining area and kitchen. As a bonus, the home also has another kitchen/dining/living area upstairs! There is also a huge lanai with Marina and Mountain views. Almost every room has an incredible mountain view. The home features 5 bedrooms that have all been recently remodeled. The furniture is modern and extremely comfortable with plush mattresses for your sleeping pleasure. The two living rooms have 60 inch flat screen LCD TV's with Blu Ray players. The home is completely stocked with towels, linens, a washer/dryer, silverware, plates/bowls, coffee makers, a blender, toaster, microwaves, serving platters, etc, etc. The backyard is the sweet spot and gathering place. Home features a large sparking pool and jacuzzi that wraps around the front of the home. There is a BBQ grill and plush deep seating patio furniture along with a table and chairs for outside dining.
