We stayed there to celebrate my mother’s 84th birthday. It was a great place where the whole family could come and enjoy the lake and the house and spend time with my mom. We enjoyed the fishing, the swimming, the boating and all the games they had inside. The tandem bike was a bonus as my daughter and niece tried to ride it. We will probably go back again next year if it’s available.

The problem with communication is because we had been given the wrong Network Name and Password, and there was no phone number to reach you guys.We got the correct info later on Sunday.Also, you really need a ladder on the pontoon. It was wonderful to use, but with no ladder, some adults did not swim off the pontoon. That takes a lot of upper strength.Definitely need a ladder.

Lake Life Comfort with Family Fun

Great location with everything you need for a large family getaway. Having the pontoon available was a huge plus! The lake is small but has incredibly clear and beautiful water. We had a fun and relaxing weekend—highly recommend!

Nice Getaway

Our whole family had more than enough room at this cottage. We had a wonderful time!

Excellent experience all around. Very clean and the caretaker explained everything around the cottage in great detail. We all had a wonderful time and talked about renting again next year.

Great family fun

We enjoyed swimming, boating, fishing, yard games, game room, food, and family time. The house was the perfect size for our party of 14 of various ages. It was great having it close to the lake so we could enjoy that. The hosts were quick to respond to questions. Easy check in and check out.

We had 16 guys for a bachelor party and had evrything we needed. Great place to party. The yard is beautiful. More than enough spots to sleep. The neighbors were friendly. We made plenty of noise late into the night and didn't have a single complaint. Thank you

Beautiful lake view and everything you need and lots to do.v. We got lucky the whole time was 70's in late September! The check in process got a 4 because code didn't work but response from host were spot on and fixed quickly.

Girls Weekend

We had a great girls weekend! The house was very accommodating and there was plenty of room for all! The lake was beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately the boat was not in service, however, we still had a great weekend! Would recommend!

Beautiful retreat

Absolutely gorgeous property. Clean home. Large yard. Secluded but not too secluded. More than enough room to comfortably sleep 18 people. Our kid-free/parents only weekend getaway with our friends was absolutely perfect. 10/10 would go back. Very easy to work with owners. Also very responsive to emails and questions while we were there

Very spacious accommodating home.

Great for our family of 18. All us adults and kids loved the open levels, great kitchen, dining room, and big deck. We were floating everydayand on the sanbar and great pontoon. 2 bedrooms upstairs were comfy but the 3 hydabeds need a think foam and the 2 twin beds could really use new mattresses. Our grandchildren said they loved it there.

Awesome property and home on a beautiful clean lake. The house had plenty of room for our large family outing of 15. Lots of swimming, boating on the included pontoon boat and we caught enough fish to have a family fish fry on Friday night. We would love to return for another round in the future. Highly recommended. Only issues we had were that we didn’t get the correct code at check-in which was quickly resolved and the lack of toilet paper when we got there.

Family vacation

We enjoyed the pontoon and floating on lake. Had plenty of room for 11 of us. Very clean. Only complaint was the dryer took 2 cycles to dry clothes and would have been nice to have condiments in the fridge so we didn’t have to buy all of them. But the weather was perfect. Would love to come back! Thank you for sharing your lake house with us!

Fun with swimming and campfires.

The cottage is very nice and has no steps from the bottom of the cottage to the lake, which was important this year because my wife was on crutches. Having a pontoon boat for cruising and some limited fishing was a nice benefit as well. This was our second year with the same cottage and same week of the year. Overall, we were very pleased.

nice lake

We used the cottage to allow for additional family to come for a Memorial service for my mother who passed away during covid. We own a cottage on John's Lake but needed more sleeping accommodations. It worked out great and gave everyone some private space. We enjoyed having the use of the pontoon boat for evening cruising.

Wonderful Week

The cabin was spacious and clean. Had everything you needed in kitchen plus lots of extra little things. Our family of 17 enjoyed the carpet ball, pontoon rides and swimming. A little disappointed that the swimming area for the children was weedy and mucky. We made the best of it and enjoyed the week.Thanks for the great memories.

"paradise" on the lake

Our extended family gathered for a beautiful June weekend at Birch Bay Retreat. My son said that the home and location were "paradise". From quiet mornings listening to the birds from the deck - to canoe trips exploring the lake in one of the two provided canoes - to swimming from the dock to the platform - we enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend Christiano's Pizza in town. Everything in the home is clearly labeled and easy to find and we were quite comfortable. We hope to return in the future!
