We didn’t have time to explore the property as much as we would have liked but the cabin was wonderful and relaxing!

Lovely little cabin
My family and I stayed in this lovely little cabin. You can tell it was restored with love and pride. My family enjoyed being able to just walk out the door and pick blueberries and black raspberries. We stayed here at the end of our vacation, it was a nice spot to unplug, relax, and get ready for our trip home.
We were welcomed by the sweetest lady, who told me this house is restored from around 1870!!! It’s a great place for a family or someone who’s interested in history. The property is basically a big historic village, there’s a church, a blacksmith shop, an old barn and a cute little pond to go fishing… and more! I’d rate this 10 stars if I could.
Our stay in Bells was to visit our son, his wife and our granddaughter. This place was so much more than we expected!
The cabin was perfect, the grounds were breath taking, and the hosts were friendly and thoughtful. The cinnamon rolls they left for us were so yummy!
We loved everything about it.
The only negative was the highway sounds, but that would not stop us from going again!
Thanks so much for a fantastic weekend!
Green Frog Village was a great place to rest and enjoy visiting friends and family. My 87 year old mom was entertained by all your log cabins and antiques. Hosts could not have been more accommodating. Privacy to visit pond side by the fire pit or swing and rock on the wrap around porch was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped. The fireplace was so cozy. Overall we loved our 10 day stay in the Pines cabin!
Just like the pictures! Wonderful convenient location to visit Brownsville. Drank coffee in the morning and watched the cotton picking across the street. Built a fire in the pit. No TV, played cards in the evening. Viewed the remainder of the property. So appreciative to have had the opportunity to step back in time.
Such a great alternative to hotel chains.
Ours was just a stopover stay for one night. The property was clean and exactly as described. We had to track down the owner to let us in because there were no instructions, but she came immediately and gave us a key. We walked around all of the buildings and got a history lesson. Our stay was relaxing and fun.
Charming, restored lob cabin! We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay here. Very relaxing. Enjoyed exploring the grounds and picking blueberries was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful surroundings. If you like country living-clean air, rocking chairs and swing on a big porch, peaceful pond with flowers, geese and old house stuff you will enjoy this property. The hosts are kind and pleasant—interesting lives.
We stayed here overnight while traveling. I was sorry it was just for 1 night. This cabin was so cool to stay in and the grounds were awesome to explore. This is an excellent place to stay for a fun family experience or a quiet getaway. Will definitely be back.
We absolutely loved staying at this cabin! It was perfect for the two of us ! Nice little kitchen, it’s so quiet inside and it was just so nice to have time to ourselves. We loved walking the property . It’s beautiful

About the host
Hosted by John and Nancy Freeman
I've been collecting and restoring historical buildings and artifacts in West Tennessee for 30 years. If you visit the cabin please take some time to see the other unique sites nearby, including a working Linotype machine and a cotton gin from 1910. I live in a log house nearby with my wife, Nancy. Our daughter Krista lives in her grandmother's ancestral home on the farm and manages the wedding venue and cabin rentals. She has had a direct hand in renovating the cabins with beautiful interiors and landscaping to capture the rustic charm in these historic structures.
Why they chose this property
This property has been in our family for 5 generations, and we just welcomed the first representative of the 6th generation!
What makes this property unique

There are five 200-year-old bed and breakfast cabins to choose from that include access to the grounds and buildings filled with artifacts of daily life from the early 1900s. Our mission is to preserve history and share it with our guests in a comfortable, beautiful setting.
