Modern Oceanfront Home with Pool, Outdoor Showers and PrivateTennis Court

Satori Ocean House is a COVID-19 Certified Accommodation - BOOK NOW!

Satori Ocean House is equipped with wide door openings on both the north and south sides of the building with inviting views and refreshing cross breezes. As you sit at breakfast you will look in one direction to dramatic oceanside cliffs, pummelled by waves and sea spray metres high. Turning to the other direction you will see white capped surf finding its way to a beautiful sandy bay lined with coconut trees. In the evening you can sit on the rooftop patio and watch the sun set over the hills and marvel at the wide expanse of the Atlantic Ocean around you.

The house has a Main Unit and 3 Studio Rooms each of which have their own private exterior entrance and their own private patio and pool. These rooms are independent and private and there are no shared spaces between rooms. The property includes a private tennis and pickleball court and a neighbouring secluded sandy beach.

The Main Unit is the feature unit of the House, with a full kitchen, large open living room and bedroom with private bath and outdoor shower. The living space opens to patios north and south and adjoins a 60' pool spanning the length of the living area. The kitchen has a full sized stove, oven, dishwasher and a large island with seating for 8. A rooftop patio beckons for early morning yoga sessions and evening drinks as the sun sets over the hills of St Lucia.

The Studio Rooms are spacious and each have a private entrance, kitchenette with 4 burner range-top, toaster oven, sink and fridge, and a private bathroom which features an outdoor shower. French doors open to the north patio and glass folding doors open the space to the south patio and your own private plunge pool.

The house is ideal for groups of up to 8 people. Share the main living space, kitchen and rooftop patio and 60' pool in the main unit. Guests can retire to their own Studio Room to enjoy the private pool and patio or to have a coffee, or breakfast and other meals on their own when desired.

The base rate is for the main unit only, and there is a fee for extra guests. Extra guests will occupy studio rooms and rates are based on double occupancy. An extra room for single occupancy is available for an added fee.

Artificial air conditioning is not needed in the house since cooling is provided from the constant sea breezes and wide door openings. Ceiling fans are provided directly above the bed in all bedrooms and all bedrooms are screened.

Picture Postcard Perfect
This property is all that is promised and more! It really was unbelievable how pristine the views are, paired with the true isolation of the property. If a peaceful retreat is what you seek, this is it! We rented a car so that we could explore the island and head out for the occasional dinner. Our most favorite outing was when Gibbs and his son took us for a sunset cruise complete with snorkeling, story telling and fresh fish. Other fun spots were Sugar Beach for the day (chairs available via the resort) and Island Breeze for a casual dinner outing. Lastly I highly encourage you to lean on Gibbs and Lucy for guidance on any restaurant or destination, they genuinely want you to have the most fabulous vacation and know seemingly everyone on the island, including the local home-chef options. Faye's is a must for upscale groceries. The tennis court is in fantastic condition.

Isolated Paradise
I rented this location for my girlfriends birthday. We had a group fo six people. From the time we arrived our host was very punctual and friendly as she led us to the villa. The views of this property are breathtaking! ! ! Pictures do not serve this villa any justice. All the couples enjoyed their seperate studio suites. Relaxing by the pool and roof top terrace was the abspulte best. We will be returning to this villa again.

Perfect Getaway
One of the best vacations we have ever had. It was so beautiful and relaxing that next year we plan on renting the entire house and villas to take our family. The only complaint is that it is so secluded that if you don't have a list when going out to market you will have to wait for next trip ( is this really a complaint ) Snow is lovable. Security is great and Lucy ( property manager ) is very responsive with reply by text, but will not give you a specific answer because she wants you to make your own adventures and not lead you one way or the other.

Great Stay
We are a group of 4 couples and we stayed at the Satori Ocean House for a week and it was great. The location is remote but that is what we wanted. The dog, Snow, made the stay even better. There’s an easy walk to a beach that we had to our selves most days. The house had everything we needed and loved that it had similar rooms for all the couples. Lucy, the property manager, was great and easy to work with. She helped us with anything we needed. Highly recommend the Satori Ocean House!

Great house with incredible views
Amazing house with incredible views! No matter which direction you look, there are breathtaking views. The house was great, the pools and open air spaces were perfect for relaxing during the day. We also took short walks to the beach (guided by Snow, the dog). At night we got a little warm because we closed the doors and no A/C, but the ceiling fans helped keep a breeze. The house manager was extremely responsive and the security guard was nice and attentive. We enjoyed the tennis court, pools and rooftop. It's a bit of a bumpy drive to get to the house but they are working on the road and it should be better soon. Faye (French restaurant and grocery) was GREAT! We got groceries there and had a wonderful lunch before our flight home.

Simply stunning
Even better than the photos, this property is beautiful, immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and well-managed. Located away from resorts on the agricultural side of the island, feels blissfullyvremote, but actually close enough to drive to all the sights, grocery stores, fisheries and local bbq. All we needed was a book and a bathing suit. The road in is slow-going, but keeps it private. We felt like locals -very lucky locals.

Awesome property and views
Awesome property & stunning views. The place was clean and very cool design & architecture. Pool area is beautiful and the rooftop too. Was really good to have guest rooms with individual pool section. Small minor house improvements (safes not working, one door handle, fridge beeping etc..) but nothing major at all. The kitchen is outstanding too and in open concept. We hired Fabian as a private chef, highly recommend him (his IG is culinarynomade); you can contact him and will never go wrong ! just waow ! The tennis court is an a great shape too and is a good ad on the stay. Lucy is very reactive and was helpful on getting us from the airport and was very responsive. We had an awesome stay and the host is 5 star. We will comeback.

Satori House
We are two families with 16 year old teenagers who vacation together every spring break. We are constantly looking for that next unique location and experience to make everyone happy. Well we found it, the Satori House is not only exactly as advertised, it is better. Upon arrival to the island, Lucy and Gibbs met us at the airport to lead us to the house (and to help transfer our luggage as everything wouldn’t fit in our rental car). The drive was easy, about 20 minutes from the airport. Now just like all the other reviews, to access the house you must turn off the main road onto a dirt and very bumpy and narrow road. Quite the experience for sure, but we laughed every time we drove it as it certainly adds to the uniqueness of the house… it is quite the rugged drive! Lucy opened up the house for us, showed us around, explained all the locking systems and all the groceries she pre-bought for us. We arrived on Easter Day when stores were closed, Lucy was so gracious to shop for us to ensure we had items at the house upon arrival. Every day we were there, the house grew on us. Waking up to that amazing view, coffee on all the different patios, cocktails on the rooftop at sunset, and family dinners in the open air kitchen with the breeze… it was nothing short of glorious! As for the house itself, we were all very impressed. It was super clean, we did not find there to be many bugs, both the inside and outside furniture was super high end, mattresses and pillows were c

Vacation club
We are 4 couples who vacation each winter, at a different location every year. The house and property is as advertised! The views are incredible, and the breeze is fantastic when both accordion doors are open (and much needed I might add) 😎. The pool is refreshing and a great place to hang out. We certainly would highly recommend for a larger group looking to spend some time on St. Lucia!! If we had a negative comment it would be only one (we had read comments in other reviews) the road back to the house off the main road is a bit torturous….could use some maintenance for sure!

Zen retreat great for family/friend groups
This architecturally gorgeous modern house creates dramatic and unique memories. The living area has huge folding glass doors on two opposite walls. Each opening frames a stunning view of sea and sky. There is no artwork in the living area which is entirely appropriate as it would be distracting: the view is the artwork. There is no AC but in Feb/March, we never needed it due to cooling breezes and ceiling fans. We did not have any mosquitoes, but the main window openings in the bedrooms do come with motorized screens for protection. The main house encompasses a grand master bedroom, and has the option to rent up to three separate attached guest houses. This is awesome for a group: your friends have their completely private space, but everyone can meet up and hang out in the main living area with its well equipped kitchen. All rooms come with entirely private outdoor showers, a treat. A glorious, temperate lap pool spans the length of the house. The main house section offers an approximately 56’ length of swimming. Each guest room has an additional private stretch of pool screened from the main section, so people can swim whenever they want without having to come into the main house. It's the best pool I have ever encountered in a vacation house rental. There is also a tennis court. We felt very safe, especially with the presence of the watchdog Snow who was a delight. We saw one fisherman passing by on a path; that was all. The nearby beaches were unfortunately affected by sargassum while we were there, so keep an eye on those conditions. However, the Caribbean side is not that faraway and it was okay. Lucie can arrange a snorkeling trip by boat if desired. We ate at Faye’s Restaurant near the airport which provides fine French dining. Stellar food and service, a real treat. We also did a hike at the Descartier Trail about 20 minutes drive from the house. I do wish the house had more booklets and tourist guides about things to do in the area; there wasn’t much to peruse. Lucie and Gibbs made sure we found the house okay and they were available for anything we needed help with. The house is down a rough bumpy road, and directions were tricky. I found the easiest way to find the turnoff is to follow Micoud Highway north from the airport and watch for the Chateau Joy sign on the left side of the road. There is also a Land for Sale sign. If you reach the tire store on the right side, you’ve gone too far.

Just fabulous!!
We just arrived back to the States after one glorious week of staying at this property. We came with two other couples and had opted to rent all 4 bedrooms so we all could enjoy our own suite and private dipping pool. The house is gorgeous and beautifully designed, even better than the photos!! It is spectacular with the amazing views from each angle of the house. Kitchen was well stocked, furniture was minimalistic and comfortable, decor simple as to not compete with the stunning views. If you are looking for a getaway to relax away from the hustle and bustle of busy life this is your place! The road to the home is about 1 mile but takes 10 min to drive down and is quite bumpy but that didn’t keep us from going on a few excursions, Soufriere for the botanical gardens and Sulphur Springs, lunch one day at the Reef Cafe (highly recommend and just miles from the house) and we also did a boat cruise with Junior and Gibbs which was wonderful, complete with an authentic St Lucian lunch on a small cove. Lucy, the caretaker was so helpful, kind and welcoming, as well as her husband Gibbs, they were lovely. Added bonus was Snow who was the sweetest pup and went on hikes with us around the property. Gazing at the stars at night was incredible and we are all truly missing waking up to the sound of the waves and ocean air. Lastly, we spent a lot of time on the tennis courts as the owner sent down a pickle ball net with paddles after hearing we all played!! Thank you to Luis for making this happen and answering all of our pre trip vacation questions. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your truly one of a kind home! We had a 5 star experience all around!!!

Gorgeous views - Beautiful House
This house has the most stunning views. It rained most of the time we were there but with all the windows, staying in was nice. There was storm one day and the view from the house that is on top of a cliff was amazing. The main room is great and the separate studio rooms are private. Our adult kids could sleep in and did not ear us get up at 6:00am. We had a couple issues with the house that were dealt with by the local Managers Lucy and Gibbs. We did the snorkelling boat ride with Gibbs and is son and we loved it. We climbed Gros Piton and went to the waterfalls. The only thing is the house is located close to Vieux Fort and there isn't many good restaurants close by. Restaurant Faye was delicious but we wished for more variety. We tried a couple local places and were disappointed so we cooked at the villa. The dogs around the property were so nice and friendly and guarded the estate very well. When they bark someone is coming. There is 2 house that neighbour the property. They are very quiet and keep to themselves. We did groceries and went to the fish market and shopped locally and we felt safe. compared to other islands we have been on. The local managers were very easy to communicate with and responded very fast to texts about question on the house and whereabouts of the Island.

Wonderful Property!
I visited Satori with a few friends; we rented all 4 villas so we each would have a private room/bathroom. We loved this house and the groundskeepers Lucy, Gibbs, and their family. They were so helpful, especially when the power went out one night during a storm, which I will say watching lightening overlook the ocean is a sght to see. Our wifi went out because of the storm and they checked in on us and got us a portable wifi the next day so we would still have internet. They also were helpful for when we first arrived gudiing us to the house from the airport, we drove behind them. The road to the house is a dirt road and is very rocky but doable, about a 5-8 min drive on that road to get to the house. The house overall was great, the beds were comfortable, the outside shower is cool, the pool was warm, everything worked and if it didn't or stopped working it was fixed quickly. There was securtiy 24/7 and Snow the dog who lives on property was so sweet and guided us to the beach next to the house. The views from this house are just so beautiful and worth every penny. As we did love this property my only thing to say about it is that the grounds like gates around the tennis court and just regular house maintenance from the water/sun/normal wear and tear could be updated but that comes with owning a house that gets use. We never felt unsafe and would absolutely rent from this place again. Additionally something to know, we wanted to be more in the country and away from the hustle/bustle, given this our excursions we did were about a 1.5hr drive north to where the resorts and cruise ships are more located. Something to remember for time and if you are thinking fo renting a car. We shopped at the local grocery store and ate around the house some days and love that. The days we had excrusions and had to go west or north we got to see some grear sights and then drive back to the house and that was not a problem. Overall a great vacation, can't wait to go back, we already miss it.

ONE WORD: BEDBUGS!
Our trip started with a confusing experience at the airport meeting up with the property manager. I thought it was to get the keys. It was actually for her to guide us to the property because it is very remote, down dirt roads with massive ruts and huge pools of standing water. Google maps says it's just 11 min from the airport to this house. 10 min of the trip from the airport is on paved roads, but it takes 15 min to get from the main road to this house because of the condition of the road. That said, though the property manger met us at the airport, they have a truck and lost us on the way, leaving us to navigate dirt, potholed roads alone. We finally got to the house and the property manager oriented us. In the process, she acted like we were stupid when we couldn't immediately understand how to operate the locks on the house--these locks had certain peculiarities to them because they're old and caked with salt/erosion because of the climate. If the locks were new, they would have worked great, but instead, she needed to show us how to work them because they weren't. Then she gets huffy when we can't immediately get it to work. I'm like, give me a break. You give us 2 minutes to understand crusty locks we've never worked before, then get snippy, talking down to us. You wouldn't have to show us the peculiarities of how they work if you'd replace them. We found that the house is weathered and worn--wood is worn and mold around base of walls where they connect with the floor. The pictures online lead one to believe it'll be an incredible experience in a new, modern home. Ain't so. The pics must have been from several years ago. But the crowning problem: We knew we would experience some bugs because we were heading to the tropics, but never could we imagine bedbugs! We left 4 days early because of it. I wish I could attach pictures to this review because both my husband and myself got bitten dozens and dozens of times! We contacted the property manager who said it couldn't be bedbugs despite us doing research online and confirming our bites followed the pattern of bedbugs! Only when we realized that the biting was localized in a pillow that we removed did the problem stop. This place has bedbugs and they don't want to admit it. Unless you want to pay to get bitten, I recommend you stay away. There are far better places to stay in St. Lucia without all these problems!

This place is Awesome!
This place is as advertised. Fabulous. Would love to go back. You feel like you are isolated wi to the ocean breeze and majestic views. It was very safe and secure. It is slightly less accessible than would be desired (long bumpy road) but that, added to the 24/7 security guard on-site made for confidence in isolation. Sleeping with the sound of the ocean lapping the nearby cliffs was awesome. Most things of interest for sightseeing are an hour away but that pretty much covers the whole island and coming back to this place after a day of adventure is remarkable. Better is just staying and enjoying the solitude. Final bonus is that the local property managers are very attentive and hospitable.

Peninsula Paradise
Spectacular home situated on a peninsula so that all glass folding doors open to the ocean - the beach on one side and cliffs on the other side. You have a continuous breeze flowing through the kitchen and living room, as well as each bedroom. The long kitchen island allows large groups to have fun family meals together. We are a family of guitar players, and we had hours of quality time together with the two guitars at the home. The airport and grocery store are 20 short minutes away. A MUST-GO -TO restaurant, Faye Gastronomie Caraïbes, is across from the airport, and will be your favorite restaurant for lunch and dinner. Our other favorite restaurant, Rabot (in the Chocolat Hotel), is equally as wonderful with an elegant patio for that very special intimate dinner (45 min. away). This restaurant, and many of the resorts, sports activities, and the beautiful botanical gardens, are on this side of the island, but it is an easy and enjoyable 45 minute drive. You need a car to fully enjoy the island. We also drove to the lighthouse to see beautiful views of the island. The house is on a dirt road, less than a 10 minute drive from the main street, but this is a small price to pay for the “jewel” that awaits you at the end of the peninsula. For those who will be missing their pet while on vacation, this home comes with your very own sweet and lovable dog, Snow, that gave us so many hours of affection. The caretakers, Lucy and Gibbs, are there for you, every moment of the day and night. They will help you rent a car, will give you suggestions of places to visit, restaurants to enjoy, and anything you might need to make your stay more enjoyable. “Thank you Lucy and Gibbs for your wonderful hospitality.” And thank you Luis, our gracious host, who shares this very special home with the fortunate families who choose this island paradise on the lush and beautiful island of St. Lucia.

Host profile image
We have been travelling to St Lucia regularly for over 10 years. The island quickly became our favourite Caribbean destination and we fell in love with the island, the friendly people, and the consistent wind as we are avid kiteboarders. This led to the purchase of a lot and the opportunity to build our dream home, a modern style concrete structure with expansive spaces which are one with the outdoors. We commissioned renowned architect John Hix, well known for his Caribbean projects, to design the house, and used local contractors to build it.

Why they chose this property

The lot inspired us from the moment we set foot on it. Perched on a peninsula overlooking the serenity of the Atlantic Ocean it has an instant calming effect. The captivating views in every direction, the neighbouring sandy beach and the constant cooling sea breeze all conspired to convince us to purchase the land.
