Pleasant stay

Elio is the perfect host! He provides everything you can possibly need, and more. Plus, he's quick to offer suggestions and recommendations and has a large list of contacts, including taxis that can help make your stay hassle-free. All of his properties are well-maintained and immaculate. I say all because we stayed in 2 of his 8 properties and checked out a third. The apartment is centrally located among various shops, restaurants, and grocers. Because it is in the midst of a bustling town there will be sounds of traffic and people going about their business. So, if you're looking for a quite getaway, then you may want to reconsider. But if you want to get the full Sicilian experience, this is the place to be. If you visit during the summer months be aware that there are only AC units in the bedrooms and the lowest setting is 24C/75F. But, the apartment has plenty of large doors and windows for ventilation. Checking in and out is a breeze. Great communication and attention to detail. Highly recommend! Thanks Elio for making our stay so enjoyable!

We had an incredible stay at Casa Giolele. The apartment is spacious enough for 6 people and located on the 7th floor. It felt very rustic Sicilian to me, and everything was clean and well-maintained. There are two toilets, a kitchen with all necessities, a shower, and a bath. All in good condition. The bed was nice, clean and comfy.The location is superb, just outside the city centre. On Saturday we went to the main square where there were local festivities. It was nice to catch the vibe of the locals. Mount Etna was only about 30-50 minutes away, and the sea was even nearer (definitely check out Pozzillo!).Elio was a very gracious host. Check-in and check-out were right on time and went smoothly. He was very responsive on WhatsApp whenever we had questions. Our flight was moved 30 min earlier, so we asked around 10 p.m. the night before if we could check earlier as well, no problem at all. We would definitely stay here again.Thank you, Elio, and thank you, Acireale!

Huge apartment and perfectly located.

Giolele is a wonderfully light and spacious apartment and in a great location for touring Etna and the coast between Syracuse and Taomina. The apartment itself is on the 7th floor (with a lift!) of a modern building with a fabulous wrap round balcony that is in the sun from early morning until late afternoon. It is easy to find with satnav and you can have private parking, which I would strongly advise, very close by for €5 a day. The area around the apartment is residential with supermarkets, takaway pizza, cafe etc. However, the old centre of Acireale is just 5 mins walk away where, in addition to being very pretty, you will find plenty of reasonably priced restaurants. All in all this is a fab apartment in a great location.

Appartamento, nuovo, pulito e confortevole, con 3 camere matrimoniali e un salotto spazioso con tavolo tv e due divani. Al settimo piano con ascensore. E' sicuramente il proprietario di casa-vacanze più gentile e disponibile che io abbia mai incontrato. Consiglio vivamente questo appartamento, il centro città si raggiunge a piedi, e l'autostrada è a 5 minuti di macchina. Acireale è stato un buon punto di partenza per girare la Sicilia Orientale.

Welcoming Stay Near the Center of Acireale

We just returned from our first visit to the little city of Acireale. What a beautiful town! - gorgeous seaside views, great restaurants and shops, and some of the friendliest people we have ever met on our travels. Elio and Eleonora are so warm and hospitable, you will feel at home from the moment you are greeted upon your arrival. The apartment is large, immaculate, and very comfortable with 2 large bedrooms with high ceilings, a very nice-sized living/dining room, well appointed kitchen & bath, and a good wifi connection for communicating with friends & family at home. Walking to the duomo takes only a few minutes; a grocery store is located around the corner, & many pizzerias, restaurants, gelaterias, bakeries, & nice clothing stores are found within a short walk of the apartment. We highly recommend this apartment to those who need a conveniently located, large apartment (it would easily house a family of 5 or 6) for a great visit to Acireale. We spent 10 nights there & loved waking up each morning to cloudless skies & fantastic views of the Mediterranean from our Acireale "home". For a comfortable & relaxing visit to Sicily, this is the place!

Holiday in a nice, well located apartment

We selected Acireale as the place for our 10 days visit at the eastern part of Sicily, and what a luck. We arrived in the middle of the marvellous, spectacular carnival. The apartment is located centrally both for enjoying the carnival, walking in the city, and tours in the region. The apartment was beautiful, nice, bright and clean, and with really good beds. From the first contact, the owner Eleonora were helpful and provided us with good advices about a.o. transport from and to the airport, restaurants and places to visit. Specially, a tour in jeep the full day up Etna became unforgettable. We will highly recommend other visitors to ask Eleonora for advice about such an excursion. We were not just visitors in a rented flat. We were actually the guests of Eleonora, Elio and the whole family! Thank you so much. Britta and Soren L. (Denmark)

Grazie!

We stayed at this apartment 4 nights. It is very spacious with a beautiful view on the sea, comfortable beds and quiet neighbors. Elio was a very gracious host, willing to help us with all our questions and need. We loved the location as it was walking distance to the center of town yet finding a parking was never an issue. It also was conveniently located to visit the Etna, Catania, Taormina and so many other beautiful villages.

Veramente una vacanza !!!

L'appartamento e' davvero bello, spazioso, luminoso, pulito. Pieno di tutti i confort.Il proprietario Elio e' davvero gentilissimo, disponibile e sempre pronto a consigli utilissimi. La zona e' centralissima ma si trova comunque sempre parcheggio non a pagamento.A casa non manca davvero nulla:stoviglie, elettrodomestici (lavastoviglie inclusa!!),biancheria, detersivi.La posizione inoltre è strategica per visitare tutta la costa e anche i paese intorno all'etna.Insomma tutto davvero perfetto. Consigliatissimo e garantito!!!

Consigliatissima!

L'alloggio è spazioso, luminoso e pulitissimo, dotato di tutti i comfort ed accessori indispensabili a trascorrere un periodo fuori casa, sentendosi come a casa. Elio, oltre ad essere una persona accogliente e disponibile, è attento alle esigenze di tutti: in casa non mancava nulla, dall'olio, al caffè, a tutti i tipi di detersivo e...in bagno c'era persino l'acetone! L'appartamento è ubicato in posizione centrale, ma riservata, e nei pressi di svariate attività commerciali che non interferiscono con la tranquillità del luogo. In breve tempo si riesce a raggiungere a piedi, sia il mare delle Chiazzette (consiglio di portare delle scarpette per il mare, perché la spiaggia è rocciosa, ma bellissima!!), sia le passeggiate commerciali e storica di Acireale. Per i più temerari vale la pena anche fare un salto alla baia di S. Caterina: dal belvedere la vista è mozzafiato!!! Acireale è tranquilla e a misura d'uomo con persone accoglienti ed affettuose ed ovunque si possono gustare ottime granite con brioche ed arancini. E' un buon punto di partenza per raggiungere anche i paesini vicini (Taormina, Acicastello, Catania, ...) che vale davvero la pena visitare.

Consigliatissima! La casa...

Consigliatissima! La casa è bellissima, pulita e molto attrezzata. Abbiamo raggiunto velocemente in macchina Taormina, Catania e Siracusa ed è posta poprio ai piedi dell'Etna. Acireale è una bella cittadina nella riviera dei Ciclopi, la spiaggia di rocce vulcaniche si raggiunge agevolmente in macchina,il mare è pulitissimo. C'è un'altra spiaggia che si raggiunge solo con una bella camminata che purtroppo non siamo riusciti a vedere quindi non sappiamo come sia. Elio, il proprietario, è una persona gentilissima e molto disponibile e lo ringraziamo ancora.

Our holiday in Acireale, ...

Our holiday in Acireale, Sicily was spectacular. Acireale is a lovely town that is surrounded by the Mediterranean. The centre of the town of Acireale is home to many ancient churches and buildings. However, the many shops located throughout the town offer high fashion and quality clothing as well as footwear at very reasonable rates. All the shop keepers are helpful and very appreciative of your business. Also, Acireale is conveniently located because it is closely situated to many major attractions in Sicily. The following are some of the attractions that we were lucky enough to experience: the beautiful town of Taormina, the city of Catania (Castle of Aci Castello), Mount Etna, Riposto, Santa Maria la Scala, La Timpa, Calatabiano (sandy beach) and many more wonderful sites in Sicily. Most importantly, the apartment we rented in Acireale was extraordinary. The owners of the apartment, Eleonora and Elio were exceptionally hospitable. They were very gracious and helpful with directions and suggesting places/things to do, ensuring we were comfortable, etc. Also, the apartment was fully equipped with all the household amenities one could imagine (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, stove, coffee maker, etc.) The apartment was immaculate, all the rooms were very spacious and well organized plus brightly decorated. Not to mention the balcony that surrounds the apartment offers a marvelous view of the Mediterranean. Overall, Sicilians are beautiful people. Everyone in Acireale is kind and friendly. They are interested and appreciative that you are a tourist visiting their city. Lastly, you will be guaranteed to enjoy some of the best food and beverages that you will ever taste in your life!
