Antoine's Gîte Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees

Antoine's Gîte is located on a private 8 ha property, in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees Regional Natural Park, in a green setting, surrounded by a 135 ha private forest massif which I manage.
A calm environment and a sunny location with breathtaking views of the Pyrenees will allow you to enjoy unspoiled nature where you can relax.
This old stone sheepfold dating from the 18th century was renovated in 2008, respecting the peasant architecture of the Haute Ariège. The materials used for its restoration are ecological: stone, lime, sheep wool, soy paint, metal and wood.
Absolute calm reigns at L'Ascale (name of the property); you can discover the charms of a generous and relaxing nature.
Note that this is a gîte located in the middle of the mountain, access is via a private gravel road.
This cottage is isolated and is not suitable for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.

A notable drive up but well worth it. Impressively restored pre-revolutionary house with a wonderful mountain view. Jacqueline and Christian are interesting people and exemplary hosts.

Lovely Mountain Retreat

We really enjoyed this charming mountain cabin. It was very clean and everything in it felt thoughtfully and lovingly chosen and placed. There is a big, cozy wood stove. We did not remember reading that we would pay separately for electricity but this turned out to be a minor addition (25 for 4 nights). Christian and Jaqueline were lovely, communicative and responsive hosts.

A great place to disconnect in a beautiful surrounding

We had a wonderful stay in the Gite of Jacqueline and Christian. The house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped for anything you might need. The host were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help out and make sure we had everything we need. We certainly enjoyed the homemade jams from Jacqueline and the fascinating history lessons from Christian. The region itself is wonderful, and the Gite is located close to many beautiful walks and touristic sites, but still remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains if you decide to stay in. Thanks for a great vacation, we'd be happy to return sometime in the future!

Gîte idéalement situé : isolé mais à proximité de Foix, permettant de se déplacer aisément d'un point à l'autre en fonction des activités. L'environnement autour du gîte est propice à la déconnexion : promenades à pieds directement au départ du gîte, nature sauvage et apaisée très présente (les biches et cerfs sont magnifiques) et les hôtes sont extrêmement sympathiques. Je referai dès que possible !

Rust en mooie natuur

Geweldige locatie voor wie van rust houdt. Het huisje ligt afgelegen midden in de natuur maar is van alles voorzien. De eigenaar woont erachter, maar je hebt alle privacy. Met een beetje geluk, kun je herten zien. Er zijn veel vogels, vlinders en insecten (bijna geen muggen).

Nos hôtes, Jacqueline et Christian, sont adorables et bienveillants. Ils nous ont accueillis chaleureusement avec des petites attentions. Le lieu est magique, en pleine nature, vu sur la montagne. Tout est conçu pour passer un excellent séjour, nous avons juste à poser nos valises et nos courses. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour très reposant et ressourçant.
