Great views and people

A notable drive up but well worth it. Impressively restored pre-revolutionary house with a wonderful mountain view. Jacqueline and Christian are interesting people and exemplary hosts.

Secluded location and friendly hosts

This is a lovely house with beautiful gardens tucked into the middle of the forest with a view of the Pyrenees.Our hosts went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We still think of their kindness

A wonderful, quirky, mountain property with stunning views of the Pyrenees on seats with an overhanging grape vine! The hosts were so kind, helpful and welcoming but not intrusive. Lovely people. The bed was very comfortable and everything needed was provided. Absolutely perfect if you want peace, quiet and beauty. The steep final approach gravel drive was a bit loose for our 2wd car after months of no rain but no worries, we parked our car at the start of the drive and Jaqueline transported our luggage to and from the gite in her 4x4. The hosts plan to concrete the drive at the end of this season anyway. A wonderful stay.

Our visit to Gite Antoine far exceeded our expectations as the location was in the mountains, with a spectacular view of the sky and ranges and also very cosy and comfortable! Communication with hosts was welcoming, responsive and informative. We loved that we could walk out the door and hike on trails or the quiet roads. and yet full services were available in Foix within 30 minutes drive

Lovely Mountain Retreat

We really enjoyed this charming mountain cabin. It was very clean and everything in it felt thoughtfully and lovingly chosen and placed. There is a big, cozy wood stove. We did not remember reading that we would pay separately for electricity but this turned out to be a minor addition (25 for 4 nights). Christian and Jaqueline were lovely, communicative and responsive hosts.

A great place to disconnect in a beautiful surrounding

We had a wonderful stay in the Gite of Jacqueline and Christian. The house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and fully equipped for anything you might need. The host were incredibly welcoming and always ready to help out and make sure we had everything we need. We certainly enjoyed the homemade jams from Jacqueline and the fascinating history lessons from Christian. The region itself is wonderful, and the Gite is located close to many beautiful walks and touristic sites, but still remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains if you decide to stay in. Thanks for a great vacation, we'd be happy to return sometime in the future!

Excellent séjour au calme, au milieu de la nature (les biches viennent quotidiennement aux alentours du gîte, les pic épeiches grignotent les noix, le rouge-gorge volette autour des buissons). Le gite est très confortable, aussi bien à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur, et il y fait frais même lors des canicules ! Jacqueline et Christian sont adorables, discrets et prévenants, il est évident que le bien-être de leurs hôtes compte pour eux !Je recommande totalement ce gîte à ceux qui comme moi ont besoin de se ressourcer !

Gîte idéalement situé : isolé mais à proximité de Foix, permettant de se déplacer aisément d'un point à l'autre en fonction des activités. L'environnement autour du gîte est propice à la déconnexion : promenades à pieds directement au départ du gîte, nature sauvage et apaisée très présente (les biches et cerfs sont magnifiques) et les hôtes sont extrêmement sympathiques. Je referai dès que possible !

Rust en mooie natuur

Geweldige locatie voor wie van rust houdt. Het huisje ligt afgelegen midden in de natuur maar is van alles voorzien. De eigenaar woont erachter, maar je hebt alle privacy. Met een beetje geluk, kun je herten zien. Er zijn veel vogels, vlinders en insecten (bijna geen muggen).

Havre de paix !

Nos hôtes, Jacqueline et Christian, sont adorables et bienveillants. Ils nous ont accueillis chaleureusement avec des petites attentions. Le lieu est magique, en pleine nature, vu sur la montagne. Tout est conçu pour passer un excellent séjour, nous avons juste à poser nos valises et nos courses. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour très reposant et ressourçant. Je recommande vivement ce lieu qui nous fait aimer les moments simples et nous reconnecte à la nature !
