About this property

Going to the Sun Chalet B

Quiet and secluded, yet still close to the action (one mile from Glacier National Park), this lovely West Glacier chalet is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of northwest Montana. The chalet has a deck with incredible views of the mountains and a BBQ grill. The high vaulted ceilings, granite counter tops, and stainless steel modern appliances make this vacation rental an ideal home-away-from-home, while being connected to Glacier Park via a bike path.

Looking for a Montana getaway that`s slightly off the beaten path but still close to the conveniences of town? Consider this charming two-bedroom chalet, which features a private washer/dryer, complimentary wireless internet, and gorgeous views of the natural surroundings.

Located one mile from Glacier National Park in the sleepy hamlet of West Glacier, this chalet feels secluded, yet offers easy access to a variety of local restaurants and stores. Slightly farther afield, the town of Whitefish is 25 miles away, while Whitefish Mountain Resort is a little more than 30 miles away. While you’re staying at the chalet, you can take a quick walk to the West Glacier Nordic ski track, with more than 5k of groomed ski trail for skate and classic skiers to enjoy while surrounded by views of Glacier National Park.

Modern and cozy, this chalet is perfect for a small family or group of friends who want to revel in the untamed beauty of the Montana wilderness. With high, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that overlook the mountain scenery, this chalet invites you to relax and unwind as you soak up nature`s beauty.

The main floor of the home features a cozy couch and a large, fully equipped open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space. Treat your group to a home-cooked meal, which you can enjoy at the six-person dining room table. Cleanup is over in no time thanks to the dishwasher.

After dinner, step out to the private deck and enjoy a glass of wine or a mug of hot cocoa while you watch the sun set. Plan the next day`s activities or share pictures of your adventures with friends and family using the WiFi.

Head back inside and downstairs to the family room. Curl up on the comfy furniture with a good book, or use the space to host a family game night.

When night falls, this home comfortably sleeps four guests. The two bedrooms each have one queen-size bed, while the loft features a full-size sofabed for additional sleeping space. There is one full bathroom on the main floor.

Wake up after a restful night`s sleep and head out to explore the area. West Glacier is a true playground for nature enthusiasts thanks to nearby Glacier National Park. Go for a long hike or bike ride, or try your hand at fly fishing. Head to the Crown of the Continent Discovery Center for guided tours, including horseback rides, llama treks, and snowmobile tours. In the winter, head to Whitefish Mountain Resort for skiing and snowboarding.

For a day off between adventures, check out the art galleries in the towns Whitefish and Kalispell, maybe stopping for a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants or cafes.
