High quality accommodation within easy reach of Obidos and Peniche coast. The property was really well equipped, with lots of attention to detail to ensure we had the the best experience. South facing balcony offers additional space to sunbathe, read and eat. Sam and Rich were exceptional hosts.

What a gem!

This a wonderful place to stay, almost don't want to share it! From the moment we arrived the hosts made us feel at home more like visiting friends than renting an apartment. The Adriatic a studio apartment was perfect for our needs, very well appointed with a lovely view from our terrace. The welcome pack of goodies was very generous and exciting to review. There is loads to see in the area both beaches, country, culture and pretty towns and villages. Buddha-Eden is close by and well worth a visit we would recommend one of the five apartments at QBV to anyone we had a fantastic time there.

Amazing is the only description...

Richard and Sam are the quintessential hosts. They are onsite, but give you full privacy or lively conversation by the fig trees. We stayed in the Caribbean Suite. Although the smallest, it is perfect for 2 people. When we arrived from the airport, the pantry was fully stocked, which included a hot lunch waiting so we could recover from our international flight vs going to the market for groceries. Sam even gave us some of her tasty homemade tea cake and fresh oranges from her trees on the property. The kitchen has any tool, pot, or knife needed. And the fresh bread & pastel de nata they brought us...so amazing! We wound recommend staying with Richard and Sam any time!

Un soggiorno romantico come essere a casa

L'accoglienza è stata formidabile, una cura assolutamente inattesa: arrivare e trovare già gli ingredienti per una cena è confortevole, ma trovarli con l'attenzione e la cura aggiuntiva fa subito sentire a casa. La casa è curata nei minimi dettagli e si sente la passione con cui è stata trasformata. La location che inizialmente sembrava "sperduta", si è invece rivelata ottimamente posizionata, sia rispetto ad Obidos (che consiglio vivamente) oltre che a Nazaré e Peniche. Con pochi minuti di auto si raggiungono molte destinazioni e per chi ha voglia di viaggiare si è ben posizionati anche rispetto ad altre mete (i monasteri di Alvobaca, Tomar, Battalha, Lisbona, ecc.) Se possibile ci piacerebbe molto tornare.

Siamo anche d'accordo sul fatto che QBV inizialmente appaia nascosto nella tranquilla campagna, ma in realtà è un ottimo posto dove basarsi per un facile accesso a tutte le delizie di questa zona. Great place with excellent hosts

The overall experience at Quinta do Bom Vento was excellent. By car, the house is only a few minutes driving to Óbidos and the beaches. The house was very clean, cosy and peaceful. We stayed at the Caribbean house and the view was breath taking, with a great balcony to have a drink, make some barbecue and great memories. The kitchen and the bathroom were very well equipped, the bed and sofa were comfortable and overall, the house was a great place. But what made this house truly great was the hosts; Rich and Sam were amazing, they really know how to make you feel welcome. Their kind spirit is visible in every detail of the house and that is what made this stay truly wonderful.

Thuis komen op vakantie..

Smaakvol ingericht appartement met alle comfort. Zeer mooi gelegen op een heuvel met mooi zicht. Ongelooflijk lieve en warme gastheer en gastvrouw, Sam en Rich maken je verblijf onvergetelijk. Een aanrader.

Traumhaftes Apartment in traumhafter Lage, man will nicht mehr weg

Schon bei der Ankunft nach der herzlichen Begrüßung wurden wir mit frischem Kuchen verwöhnt und der Kühlschrank war voller Lebensmittel, zusätzlich Obst, Brot, Bier und Wein (alles ohne Extrakosten). Unsere Gastgeber stellten uns auch den anderen Gästen vor und haben es geschafft, dass wir uns sofort wie zuhause fühlten und nach der 1. Nacht beschlossen, noch länger zu bleiben. Leider mussten wir nach vier Nächten weiter, sehr schade! Das Apartment war liebevoll und vollständig eingerichtet mit Kapselmaschine, Backofen, etc. Essig, Öl, Gewürze uvm., alles war bereits vorhanden. Es gab sogar Strandtücher, was uns sehr willkommen war, da unsere gewaschen werden mussten. Die Waschmaschinennutzung ist auch kostenlos, Pulver wird gestellt. Alles sind nur kleine Puzzleteile, die aber zusammen zu einem perfekten Aufenthalt führten. Sam, die Vermieterin hängte uns am 1. Morgen Brötchen und Kuchen für unterwegs an die Tür, Rich brachte uns am Sonntag frisch gebackenes Brot aus dem Steinofen im Dorf. Ach ja, der Blick von unser nicht einsehbaren Terrasse/Balkon war wundervoll - über das ganze Tal hinweg. Das Apartment selbst herrlich eingerichtet und dekoriert nach dem Motto Karibik, die Handtücher im Bad luxus-flauschigweich und dick. Gastlichkeit ist hier nicht aufgesetzt wie in vielen Hotels, sie wird gelebt. Wir sind schon in vielen 5-Sterne-Hotels gewesen, diese Unterkunft schlägt aber alles. Wir haben auch einige der anderen Apartments gesehen, auch die sind individuell und traumhaft eingerichtet.Wir planen schon den nächsten Urlaub, denn in Obidos und Umgebung gibt es wirklich viel zu entdecken: Kulturschätze (in Batalha, Alcobaca, Porto de Moz u.a.), herrliche Strände oder man macht schöne Wanderungen, zum Beispiel in der Lagune von Obidos.

Way exceeded our expectations. Charming location.

What a fantastic place to stay. Accommendations are spotlessly clean, well appointed with no detail left unturned. We stayed a week with so many wonderful sights in Portugal near by. We rented a car and had no problem navigating the roadways with Google maps. Our hosts, Rich and Sam Malone were very helping with suggestions on where to go and what to see. Would return in a heartbeat. Don’t miss staying here. If your looking for a quiet place to stay you’ve got it here. Shopping, restaurants and bars are quick 10 minute drive away.

Great place to unwind

From the moment we arrived we were treated like one of the family by Rich and Sam. The apartment was decorated to a very high standard with everything you needed and more. We had a barbecue on the terrace and spent many evenings enjoying the amazing views with a glass of wine. A car is needed but Obidos, Caldas and many other attractions including a choice good restaurants are just a short drive away. Also some good beaches only about 30 mins drive. Rich and Sam were really knowledgable about the area and offered many suggestions for day trips. I would certainly recommend QBV and am planning our next trip there this year.
