Peregrine Point Condo Steps to Lifts/Main Plaza at Puragatory - Amazing Views

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath single level condo (Unit 106) is located at Peregrine Point, just steps from the Main Plaza and is is located on the north side of the building offering amazing mountain views.

Walk across to the main plaza for convenient access to restaurants, ski rentals, deli and great shops as well as the primary high-speed lift, Purgatory Express, to the top of the mountain.

The condo is decorated with high-end furnishings and the kitchen is fully stocked while the main living space features a gas fireplace, TV and a deck to enjoy the amazing mountain views.

The condo also features a washer and dryer. Parking is unassigned outside in front of the building.

Master - King Bed with TV
2nd - Bunk Bed (Single over Double) with TV
Main Living Space - Queen Pull Out Sofa

As with all condos in the Peregrine Point building per HOA Rules, pets are not allowed.

For an optional 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. When booking, just advise if you would like the extra 4% resort fee added.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Please note that, like most properties at Purgatory, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Great ski condo

This condo was clean and a great location to slopes. It had a starter set of everything we needed as far as toiletries, paper towels and toilet paper. We did have trouble with thermostat, it was warm in there at times. Even if we turned the heat down it stayed warmer than we set it to. We think it may have something to do with the building. The hallway between all of the condos was so hot.

Great Location and Nice Condo!

This is a great condo. Walk across the street and up the stairs And you are in the main plaza with the ticket office, restaurants, and ski lifts. Nice large living room with great views, 2nd bedroom has no windows. Nicely stocked kitchen but could use all new pots and pans. Even had a few kids plastic cups and plates. Parking close to the door but guests do not have access to underground parking.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The deck and furniture were not cleaned and chairs on the deck can barely hold up a normal size adult because they are so old and sun worn. (We wiped down the chairs)The condo was adequate. Don’t plan on doing any cooking as the pots and pans are all destroyed from wear and tear.

Wanted to use the baking pan, but it was won worthy of use. There were plenty of plates and silverware. Using the fireplace made it cozy. The slopes are walking distance. This is not a ski in/ski out. No significant issues overall.

A condo with NO air conditioning!

Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately, we didn’t find out until 2 hours into our stay that this condo unit has NO air conditioning! Throughout the day the temperature in the unit was around 82 degrees. When we went to bed the temperature was about 80, my wife, myself and my two young daughters had difficulty trying to sleep! We all found ourselves sweating during our sleep! If we had known beforehand about the lack of AC in this unit, we would have found some place else to stay!

We provide floor fans, and suggest that guests open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. If your staying in the Durango area during the summer, I would pick some where else. We could not get any relief fro the heat. We are from Texas so we were looking forward to getting away from the heat. The guest info said it rarely got above 80 degrees and to open the windows and set out the fans to draw in the cool air after the sun goes down behind the mountains. It kinda worked but not really. It was so warm getting any sleep before 2am when it finally got cool wa impossible. We would have never stayed here in the summer if we had known there was no A/C. Other than that it was a great place!

The month of July was hotter than usual and none of us who live here even expected the high temperatures that July brought. Summer Hotbox!

This condo is in a great location near the Purgatory resort. The layout and kitchen are nice for a family. The listing described it as recently remodeled, however the carpet was worn/ torn in several places and some of the furniture looked worn as well. We would have been fine with it but we could never get the temperature below 82 degrees! We understand there is no air conditioning, but even with windows open and box fans strategically placed, we could not get it cooler. It was even worse for the second bedroom which had no windows at all. The unit faces the highway which is quite noisy so you have to decide which is worse, overheating or listening to traffic all night with windows open. This unit is probably much better suited for a winter stay. We contacted the property manager and they were willing to work with us and move us to another unit which was higher up on the mountain and much quieter / cooler.

Good for the right time of year

I’m sure this place is great for ski season, when things are open. Everything closed the weekend before we arrived, so just make sure of that before you book. A heads up, the condo is VERY hot. It was 79 inside degrees all day. The only way to cool it down is to open all the doors and blow the cool air in with fans. This wasn’t pleasant for us because a wildfire started the day we arrived, so it was very hot and very smoky inside. Completely not the fault of the condo of course! Just be aware that it will be extremely hot unless it’s winter. The first day we were in the condo, I stepped on a piece of glass that was on the floor and bled pretty bad. Again, not the condo owners fault, maybe the housekeeping vacuum just didn’t pick it up, unfortunately for me. Overall it was a great condo. Beautiful view.

As you mentioned, properties in the north county area don't have air conditioning so what you described to cool it down is accurate with opening windows/doors and closing them during the day to keep the cool air in. Always feel free to call us if you find yourself needing additional fans and we are happy to bring them to you because we want your stay to be comfortable :) It was an unusually warm summer as well. I'm so sorry the piece of glass got missed by the vacuum cleaner! Other than that, we are glad you enjoyed the property and we do hope you come back to stay with us again soon for the ski season where it will certainly be cooler ;)

Probably would not stay here again

No ac in unit. There were 4 oscillation fans going constantly. We had to leave the front door open since there was AC in the hallway but door is right by stairs so people always walking by. The balcony has sun directly on it in the morning so if you want to sit out and enjoy your coffee bring your sunglasses. No pizza pan and what pans that are there are burnt and not very clean. No cutting board in unit. Most dishes were not very clean in the cabinets so we washed everything prior to use. Twin bedroom has no windows and was extremely hot the entire time even with 2 fans going.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that you feel you would not want to stay at this property again. Most guests love staying here! We do not advertise any A/C in the unit as most units in the north Durango area do not have air conditioning. The dishes are clean, there is just hard water in the area so what you see are hard water stains. We provide a bottle of lemishine to wash with to help combat the water stains - but they are clean. Please always call us if you are missing something we believe should be included in the kitchen supplies like a cutting board. Your stay was during a heat wave in the area so I apologize it was warmer than usual during the day. It was a pleasure to host you and we hope you enjoyed your time in Durango!
