Dandelion House is a very special 4 bedroom, converted alpine farmhouse with garden, sleeping 8, in a stunning position with open views across the Bohinj Valley in the charming village of Podjelje at the foot of the Pokljuka Plateau and within the Triglav National Park. It is 20 minutes drive from Lake Bohinj and in close proximity to quality skiing at Vogel and a huge range of river, lake & mountain activities in Summer. In the other direction lies world famous Lake Bled (25 mins) and the Pokljuka Plateau (10 mins) home to Slovenia's best cross country skiing and some of its most spectacular walking and biking trails.
The charming, quiet village of Podjelje itself is surrounded by pure nature and with wonderful views over the Lower Bohinj Mountains. Dandelion House has been renovated with lots of sensitivity to the original building to create an extremely comfortable, charming and well equipped holiday home with fireplace, table tennis, flat screen TV and internet among the many features as well as outdoor seating area, barn with sitting area and panoramic views and garden with kid’s slide. A fantastic base for relaxing in beautiful alpine surroundings or for exploring Slovenia’s enchanting Lakes Region.

The house is a real pearl, high on the mountainside, with a beautiful view.Peace and quiet everywhere.Although the donkeys next door woke us up in the morning, it was scary at first, but we got used to it and laughed about it in the end.

Amazing Place

This is a great home in an amazing location. Plenty of room for a large family. Nice common space to relax both inside and out. Very clean and well equipped. Be prepared for about a 10 minute drive up the mountain from the main road. It is worth the drive. Such a relaxing and wonderful place to stay.

A wonderful 5 days in Dandelion House

We had a lovely stay at the Dandelion House. Everything starting with the communication with Dan, the house, its amenities and location was great. The house is situated on top of a hill and has a wonderful view of the surrounding hills. It is a winding road to the top, at times steep and somewhat narrow but the view from the top is definitely worth it! The house was clean, well stocked and is as lovely as it looks in the pictures. The house is also perfectly situated between Bled and Bohinj and therefore is a perfect place to spend a few days to see and do things in the area. The closest supermarket, gas station and cafe are all in the town at the bottom of the hill. All in all we had a great time in Podjelje and hope to return soon!

Beautiful Location

This home in the Julian Alps was a perfect respite after traveling a week in Vienna. This home offered plenty of space for our family of 6. We spent a week at the home and the views are unsurpassed. We enjoyed the remote location (it is very remote) and the neighboring villages had excellent food. Nothing is quickly accessible (groceries, pharmacy, etc.), but if you come prepared, it is well worth your time and a great location from which to explore lake Bled and Lake Bohinj. You will need to bring your own toiletries and paper products as the home does not come equipped with any soap, shampoo or a hair dryer, etc.

Traumhafte Lage und wunderschönes Haus aber Check-in Probleme

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, sauber und schön renoviert.E-Heizung und Kachelofen perfekt.Küche komplett eingerichtet, Waschmaschine, Trockner, Kühlschrank, Tiefkühlschrank, Gasherd, Ofen, sogar Küchengeräte, wie Mixer. Betten sehr bequem, Bettwäsche und Handtücher komplett und sauber. Tischtennisplatte und der geniale Freisitz runden dieses tolle Domizil ab und machen es zu einem 10-Sterne Haus. Ein Haartrockner war leider entgegen Beschreibung auf der Website nicht vorhanden. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen! Leider kommt die Agentur "Think Slovenia" nicht so gut weg bei uns, denn es wurde zwar fleißig vor der Reise per Mail kommuniziert wegen Bezahlung der Rechnung, leider wurde aber vor der Reise nicht der Code für den kontaktlosen Check-in per Mail gesendet. Wir sind davon ausgegangen, da der Check-in nicht erwähnt wurde, dass jemand vor Ort ist, der uns um 16 Uhr am Sonntag die Türe aufsperrt. Leider war da aber niemand vor Ort. Wir haben dann nochmal die Mails und unserem account gecheckt, aber nirgendwo fand sich ein Hinweis auf einen kontaktlosen Check-in. Leider auch keine Mail mit dem Code. Auch im SPAM Ordner haben wir geschaut, aber die Mails vorher kamen ja auch an.Zum Glück hat ein Nachbar unsere Not erkannt und den Mann von der Putzfrau angerufen, der uns dann aufsperrte. Auch er meinte,dass normalerweise eine Mail mit dem Code käme. Telefonisch war die Agentur nicht erreichbar. Auch die nächsten Tage hat sich niemand gemeldet. Das ist nicht professionell.

Repetiría sin duda alguna

No solo la ubicación es perfecta, toda la casa es espectacular y un remanso de paz y silencio . Perfecta para toda la familia . Hemos disfrutado muchísimo Quizás se tendría q proteger el hueco junto la entrada , las escaleras hacia la izquierda , son un poco peligrosas. La terraza de delante una auténtica maravilla. Volvería sin dudar

schönes Haus mit tollem Ausblick

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gepflegt und mit Liebe zum Detail renoviert. In der Küche war alles was wir benötigten um unsere Gruppe gut zu bekochen. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr Natur verbunden und man hat einen schönen Ausblick ins Tal und zum gegenüberliegenden Gebirge. Eine Holzterrasse oder daneben eine "Festscheuer" laden ein, einfach hinsitzen und nur genießen. Der zuständige Ansprechpartner wohnt gerade ein Haus darüber und spricht deutsch. Etwas abendteuerlich war die Fahrt zum Einkaufen nach Bistrica (ca. 15 min), da die Straße z.T. schmal und sehr kurvig ist. In Bistrica gibt es zwei Supermärkte, einen Metzger, eine Bäckerei und vieles mehr.

Wunderbares Haus. Noch schöner als auf den Bildern

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Ausreichend Platz, sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Wir werden es gerne weiterempfehlen. Eine schöne Überraschung war der "Aufenthaltsraum" (eine alte Scheune) mit traumhafter Aussicht. Hier konnten wir selbst bei Regen quasi draußen sitzen.

Wonderful house with all you need. You only have to be aware of the street directly in front of the house. There is nearly no traffic, but with small kids it is a point to know

Spectacular views

With our four children, we stayed for two days and wished we had more time. The house is beautiful, clean and well equipped. The location on the mountain is spectacular and it's an easy drive to Bled, Lake Bohinj (Vogel cable car, Savica waterfall, etc). Would definitely come again.

Das Haus liegt in ländlicher Umgebung am Berg (lange Serpentinenanfahrt), an einer wenig befahrenen Straße. Ein herrlicher Ausblick aus dem Fenster, wunderbare Ausstattung und Zustand aller Utensilien. Nebenliegende Holzterrasse zum Sitzen, Biertischgarnitur separat vorhanden, Tischtennisplatte, kleine überdachte Sitzmöglichkeit mit freiem Ausblick zum Entspannen, Abendsitzen, Erzählen...

Comfortable House in Beautiful Location

We really enjoyed the long weekend we spent in the Dandelion House. The house is situated in a spectacular location, and the views from every window are beautiful. The house is well-equipped, with ample towels, blankets, kitchen items, and even games. The outdoor space is also lovely, and we enjoyed dinners outside on the deck every night. Lakes Bohinj and Bled are 15-20 minutes away in different directions, so you can easily access both areas and all of their sites. We are already trying to figure out when we can get back there again for another pleasant stay!

Quiet, spacious, wonderful views

5 days in the house with colleagues for a rowing regatta in Bled. Plenty of space in the house, well equipped, very quiet, wonderful location (halfway between natl park/bohij and bled). A bit tricky to find, but well worth the isolation.
