Playa Caribe 3 combines comfort, style, and an unbeatable beachfront location in Half Moon Bay. Situated on the southern wing of the building, this ground-floor condo opens onto a furnished terrace with loungers, BBQ grill, and direct pool access—framed by sweeping Caribbean views.

Inside, the Master Bedroom offers a king bed with an ensuite bath, while the guest suite includes two queens and its bathroom. With space for six guests, the condo is ideally suited for couples traveling together, families, or groups of friends. All bedrooms and the living/dining areas are cooled by central AC.

The fully equipped kitchen features an electric stove, full refrigerator, and a breakfast bar that overlooks the turquoise bay—perfect for morning coffee or preparing snacks. The open-concept design creates a relaxed flow from kitchen to dining to living spaces, leading naturally out to the terrace.

Guests enjoy daily housekeeping, beach towels, purified water, parking, and onsite concierge service. Whether you want airport transfers, grocery delivery, or guided excursions, the staff makes your stay seamless.

Located in Akumal’s secure gated Half Moon Bay, the condo is walking distance from Yal Ku Lagoon, Akumal Bay, shops, and restaurants. The shoreline mixes soft sand with coral rocks, excellent for snorkeling—water shoes recommended. While walking and taxis cover local needs, a rental car or private driver is suggested for exploring cenotes, Mayan ruins, or nearby Riviera Maya towns. Playa Caribe is one of the area’s original beachfront condominiums, known for service and comfort.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

It felt like renting a house looking the ocean

We had a great time at Playa Caribe. This unit is next to the pool on the ground, it was like having a house for ourselves. We had cleaning service every day, the people at the condo were very nice. We could walk to a small general store, and went to the Akumal beach that was free of sargasso. Short drive to Tulúm and the cenotes. Great stay!

Great spot, wonderful management

This was a lovely and easy place to stay. Everyone who works here is so helpful - the view is beautiful. The pool is great. It can get a little crowded, but all the guests were polite and easy to share space with. We woke to beautiful sunrises every morning. Unfortunately, the sargassum was bad while we were there, but we spent a lot of time at the lagoon and other beaches. This is a definite return to place for us!

The condo was beautiful and very nicely decorated. The check in process was seamless and after the long flight and commute to the property, it was nice to have a wonderful basket of goodies there waiting for us. The site felt very safe with friendly staff always willing to assist. Many of the other guests we met were returning visitors to the property and we hope to one day return. We had a great trip!

10 Days in Akumal

A great spot for 4. We went with another couple and the place was perfect. Right by the pool, which is right by the beach which is right next to the road that takes you wherever you want - including our favourite hang out: La Buena Vida which was a short walk and stumble home. House keeping services as much or as little as you like and the concierge will arrange anything. I’d highly recommend.

Great stay

We stayed for 6 nights with age ranges from 1- 65. Easy access to the beach and pool was amazing. Great food options nearby. Very sleepy town but easy access to snorkeling. It was spotless cleaned everyday. There was light cut for a day which was challenging esp with the kids. Light cut also meant no water no cooking no cellphone service too. We had to emergency evacuate as with kids it was hard to survive. Unfortunately there was no communication from the manager too which bummed our whole trip.

It was clean, well maintained, the beds were comfortable. It however, has it's door to the beach directly in front of the other guest's area and was often noisy and occupied when we got out for the day. There was also a good bit of noise coming from the front . Other than this, it was a nice place to spend Christmas with my adult kids!

We snorkeled every day and enjoyed the outdoor patio for meals. Inside the kitchen was well equipped and we saved money by cooking most days. We would come back again. The only negative would be that the condo was a little musty smelling when we first arrived. Although the condo has air conditioning we preferred opening the patio screens and that seemed to take away the musty smell.

Fabulous condo

We loved the property and appreciated the unit had games for children, coffee basics for adults, and the pool stocked a communal chest of pool toys. The only downside was that the onsite property manager Augustin twice rented us a broken golf cart, and issued only a partial refund. I wouldn't recommend using his rentals. the first time it broke down he was unreachable and we had to walk a good distance. He told us he'd fixed it the next day but it still didn't work so we had to scramble to find alternate transportation that day.

Great stay and on top of everything!

We truly loved our stay here. We had a very interesting trip. We actually arrived on the 30th for our entire trip and originally staying in another unit. It wasn’t peak season, so we knew chances for rain were high. Our first unit started leaking all over the kitchen, so another property owner who was staying there helped us get in contact with this unit and move over. It was within an hour that we were all moved. The rain brought a slight leak to this units kitchen, but this was was able to be fixed very quickly. The location is beautiful. The units are comfortable and very clean. It was myself, my husband and our two daughters. We had such a wonderful trip. We will come back. Rain happpens. Leaks happen. Never let that ruin anything for you! Enjoy how wonderful the town and people are!

Great Property

This property is very well kept and the condo has million dollar views of the ocean. It is centrally located in the small town of Akumal and there is a small store for snacks/grocery items right across the street. I would recommend a golf cart if you don't want to walk a bit farther to shops and restaurants. The condo was big, clean and well equipped. Bedrooms and bathrooms are large with a lot of storage. It was great walking right out to the pool and ocean, but you will have other quests in front of your sliding door using the pool since this is on the ground floor. The beach is raked each day, but there was seaweed when we were there due to the winds. It's the ocean, so sometimes that happens. You'd also do well to pack water shoes as there is coral and rocks as you enter the ocean, but it is still easy to get into the water and swim/snorkel. Very quiet and peaceful property and on-site manager was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend.

It was the perfect set up for our family of five. We loved waking up to spectacular sunrises with the gorgeous view. We enjoyed lounging by the pool and on the beach just steps from our door. Akumal is truly a place of magic. The people at the property are very friendly and responsive to our needs. The location is wonderful with so much to do in walking distance. We had breakfast at the Turtle Bay Cafe, we enjoyed dinner outside by the sea at Buena Vida. We had a wonderful day that started with breakfast at the Jungle Cafe and then snorkeling further down the street at Ya-Cool. It was amazing to see where the ocean met the fresh water and all of the fish! We felt very safe in our location. We even met Kilo the military dog who’s posted to the area. We traveled outside the arch to dine at a less touristy and local Taco Mia for a delicious lunch. We had an unforgettable experience day tripping in Tulum, exploring the ruins, then we walked to the Playa Paradiso beach and had a healthy breakfast, then set up for the day at the El Paradiso Beach Club to rent a longing bed, umbrella and table and chair setup. We enjoyed the music, drinks, bathroom facilities and the gorgeous clear ocean. Back at the condo we loved to enjoy a swim while looking out at the ocean. There were lounge chairs with grass umbrellas right in the beach. Highly recommend wearing water shoes as you enter the beach as it’s a bit rocky. We had fun hunting for shells and were rewarded with a huge Conch shell.We would recommend the Playa Caribe for a magical vacation in Mexico! We’d live to return!
