Casa Recanto da Horta - Charming Houses

This charming holiday home with a private garden is two minutes from Monsaraz Reguengos Center, 30 minutes from Évora town, placing it right in the heart of the Alentejo.

The Lodge can accommodate up to 4 Guests, plus two Berco-age children "Available on request" has two comfortable bedrooms, one double room, and one twin room, both rooms have the comfort and warmth of the region providing a great stay.
The living room's Relax Sofa sleeps 2 guests, and the separate Highchair plus two.
It offers all Its Guests communities for tea and coffee, and a delicious welcome cream pie, lovingly prepared by the Hostess.
This beautiful living room extends to the kitchen, with a romantic decoration, and fully equipped where you can cook your meals.
The house also has a spacious shower with shower, plus a second separate shower in the garden.
The garden of this house is another feature that makes it very complete and welcoming, and features a variety of furniture, including a dining table with patio chairs, and a children's play area with games and toys.
In addition you will have access to parking right next to housing for two cars.
All guests will be provided with pamphlet Tourist information about the region and personalized advice on how to best enjoy their stay, depending on their taste.

100 meters from the house, you can enjoy the public garden, which features a children's playground and geriatric appliances.

Herdade do Esporão is 3 minutes away, where you can contemplate the winery landscapes, the historical monuments and by appointment, tasting, to know and appreciate more about its wines and olive oils.
The medieval village of Monsaraz is 15 minutes away and offers a wonderful view of the magnificent Alqueva lake, where you can enjoy a blue flag river beach, boat trips or water sports.
The historic city of Évora is 30 minutes away and Lisbon Airport is 1h30m away.

Lovely home in the Alentejo

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The host is so helpful, responsive and friendly. It had everything we needed for our visit to the Alentejo region including a private outdoor space for relaxing in the evening. It is in a great location for visiting many different towns in the area. We loved staying here.

A beautiful place in the heart of a very small town.

This house is a converted/renovated Portuguese traditional attached home. It was a special treat on our last leg of our stay in Portugal. We found the neighbors extremely friendly and welcoming. The host was very helpful and his added gifts to us on our arrival were wonderful; from his wife's homemade cakes, to the wine and coffee he left for us. We always have a great time visiting and exploring Portugal and its people.

Very nice place, the house and the garden. Can highly recommend this place.

The house was well equipped, cosy and warm. Nice and quiet neighborhood. The host , Francisco was friendly and helpful and went a long way to ensure we had all we needed and made us feel welcome. La maison est situé à proximité de reguengos de monsaraz. Le lieu est soigné et Francisco et très attentionné. La maison est conforme aux photos. La partie jardin est dissociée de l’habitat. Top!

Wonderful house with a very kind owner. Fantastic place to go home to after exploring the area. Tons of beautiful and fascinating places to visit in the area. Local pottery and weaving close by. Absolutely recommend this house!

Silêncio quente que liberta a alma

A minha primeira vez no Alqueva. Magia total. O recanto da horta foi concebido ao detalhe, com um gosto decorativo excecional. Nada, mesmo nada, falta nesta casa de bonecas. A ruinha onde se encontra permite ouvir alguns, poucos ruídos, que trazem memórias boas do passado, como a buzina da venda de melão e melancia, as vozes envolventes entre compadres, as cigarras e as andorinhas. Foi um privilegio conhecer o vizinho, Sr. Alexandre, com mais de 90 anos, olho azul, doce e perspicaz. O Francisco, nosso anfitrião, foi inexcedível. Fez-nos o roteiro para conhecer este Alentejo genuíno e belo, com praias no lago, onde se nada em água morna e se ouve ao mesmo tempo os chocalhos das vacas que pastam e bebem na longínqua margem, do outro lado. ( A que preferimos: Mourão). Por sua sugestão, jantamos no Xarez, palco de um pôr do sol de tirar a respiração! Agradecemos a partilha deste recanto que ficará na nossa memória e nos fará querer voltar Bem-hajam!

De alma cheia....

O espaço era muito acolhedor, confortável e irrepreensivelmente limpo. O Francisco é um excelente anfitrião, muito simpático e prestável, sempre disponível e atento ao nosso conforto e necessidades. Foi muito agradável chegarmos e termos uns mimos da região e a famosa tarde de nata a nossa espera. Foi-nos feito também um extenso roteiro das visitas e atividades possíveis para a nossa estadia de 11 dias. Recomendo este espaço por tudo isto e também pelos simpáticos vizinhos, um casal nonagenário, que enriquecem a estadia de qualquer um de nós. Obrigada Francisco por tudo o que nos proporcionou, ficou uma vontade enorme de voltar.....

Zauberhaftes Haus in toller Umgebung

Ich habe eine wundervolle Woche in der Casa genossen. Haus und Garten die genau so schön, wie es die Bilder im Netz zeigen. Francisco war jederzeit für Fragen erreichbar. Außerdem habe ich diese sehr schöne und interressant Ecke des Alentejo kennen gelernt und komme bestimmt wieder. Gruß Jürgen

Séjour parfait

Nous avons passé 2 semaines très agréables au Recanto da Horta . L'endroit est très calme et Francisco, le propriétaire, est vraiment sympathique . Il nous a très bien accueillis avec des produits locaux et faits maison, il nous a expliqué les nombreux lieux intéressants de la région . Ideal base for seeing the region

The property was very clean and comfortable, and the garden area was a beautiful place to relax. Francisco was a very friendly and helpful host - he gave very helpful recommendations of places to visit in the area (Monsaraz, the observatory and the beach were all fantastic), and the friendly neighbours even gave us some fresh grapes and figs from their garden. All in all, it provided the perfect base for our visit to this region. Thank you very much, Francisco.

Beautifully decorated house, spotlessly clean and a lovely host.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house, it is very tastefully decorated as is the garden. There is everything you could need, including extra cutlery and barbeque utensils in the garden. We stayed during a heat wave, but thankfully we were really cool due to the air conditioning and the natural coolness of the house. Francisco was really friendly and helpful, always available if there were any problems and offered loads of information on the local area. We were welcomed with a delicious cake and snacks. The area around the house is beautiful and there is loads to do and see. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Karen, Wesley, and her three-year-old girl stayed in the house for a week and are lovely guests and very friendly, I felt immediately as part of our family and I confess that I already miss them. Une charmante maison

La maison de Francisco est particulièrement chaleureuse, et cosy. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour, y compris dans le charmant jardin d'été. Só temos a agradecer ao Francisco e à Vera pela amabilidade com que nos receberam e pelo espaço agradável que nos proporcionaram. Continuem assim a fazer as coisas com bom gosto e carinho. A casa tinha tudo o que necessitamos para passar uns dias agradáveis, encontrava-se impecável e de extremo bom gosto. Não faltou absolutamente nada. Recomendamos vivamente uma estadia nesta casa, quer pelos proprietários, quer pelo vizinho do nº6, sempre com um sorriso no rosto.

trop beau, romantique, propriétaire adorable et bien situé

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Francesco qui parle français, ce qui simplifie parfois bien les choses. Sa maison est aménagée avec beaucoup de goût, elle est hyper propre et le patio non atenant mais juste en face est superbe ! De plus son épouse nous avait fait un super gâteau au flan. Bien situé entre Evora et Monsaraz. Que demander de plus ? Merci à vous nous avons passé deux jours très très agréables !

Großartig!!!

Wir, eine junge Familie mit kleinem Kind, durften 5 Nächte in diesem tollen Haus mit wunderbarem Garten verbringen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und liebenswert. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Das verschlafene Dorf bietet viel Ruhe, ist aber ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge z.B. nach Evora, Monseraz und den Stauseen. Die Wohnung ist gut aufgeteilt und wertig eingerichtet. Der Garten wurde mit viel Liebe angelegt und war perfekt für unseren Sohn zum Spielen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
