House converts to a vacation tourist home for your visit to or near Hershey, Lancaster, Carlisle area attractions. Not a crafter? No problem! Use the retreat house as your home away from home while visiting area attractions or attending family events! Wine & antique lover? Local vineyards & antique auto museums are close as well. House sits in a quiet country setting with few neighbors. Guests can even catch a glimpse of the area wildlife of deer, wild turkey & rabbits grazing in the yard or adjacent meadow. Also in the area: Hersheypark, Antique Auto Museum of America, Lancaster Amish are all close by! Never a shortage of things to do & plenty of chocolate!

Cozy and Comfy!

We needed a home close to Hershey for a napping toddler and this fit the bill. It wasn't fancy, but warm and cozy. The owner was super welcoming and informative.

Lovely house and accomodations

This house has all of the basics (and some extras) you will need for your vacation. It was actually perfect for my 2 year old twins because it was easy to keep them safe and entertained. We were able to enjoy Hershey park and just have some downtime at the house.

I stayed at this home with a couple of friends for a weekend trip to Hershey, and it could not have been easier! Anita was a great host - we appreciated her availability and kindness. Beautiful home

My friend and I had a lovely experience at Anitaā€™s property! The house is very well appointed and Anita is a great host! She was very communicative and friendly! We loved the 3 season room to have coffee in the morning! Highly recommend!

Hershey Vacation with kids

Simply loved our vacation at Hersheys with kids and parents. Anita was wonderful. She is extremely friendly and made sure our stay was very comfortable. The house was perfect for a family as it was conveniently located. The house was very clean and we did not miss our home at all during our stay. The backyard is simply beautiful!!! Highly recommend this place for people with kids and family.

Adorable Cottage and Wonderful Owner

The house itself was adorable with room for games, relaxing, and eating when one table was preoccupied with a board game! Everything was neat and comfy enough to feel like a second home with a renter who was super friendly and helpful! 10/10.

Wonderful Stay!

This house was perfect. First off, it was extremely clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready to cook, the tv was great and we were able to log into our subscriptions easily to watch Netflix and prime. We were there for Hershey which is only about 10-12 minutes away and very easy to get to. Anita gave us great recommendations for other things to do in the area as well and was very responsive. We will definitely be back!

The perfect place to stay!

I needed a place for my out of town family to stay while in the area for a wedding and we were able to rent this lovely and comfortable home. Very clean and a quiet location. Wonderful owners - very easy to work with and quick to respond when a need arose. I know my family really enjoyed themselves and the comfortable place to spend time with each other when not involved in wedding events. I highly recommend this home for anyone in need of lodging, whether to visit local sites of interest or just to be with family away from home. Thanks to Anita and Ben for the wonderful experience!

Private setting, convenient to Hershey Park Activities

We just stayed during the Memorial day weekend to visit the park and surrounding activities, and had a wonderful time! The house is cozy and convenient to Hershey area, it has everything you need and in a beautiful setting. My boys enjoyed exploring in the backyard and seeing wild turkeys. It's very quite and serene sitting on the three season back porch with tables and chairs to eat your meals or just sit and relax. The owner was very hospitable and so helpful! I would definitely recommend this house for your stay in Hershey Park area.

Great Place!!!

My family and I had a wonderful time here. We gathered for my grandson's birthday. A trip to Hershey Park. This was the first time I stayed at a BNB type rental. The Retreat House was perfect. We had space to spread out. It was a home away from home. Anita is a great host! We had rain one day such that the park was closed. Anita had suggestions that worked out perfectly. I would come back here just to get away!

Quiet country retreat home

We rented the home for a week while staying for our son's graduation from medical school. Location was perfect as it was close to town for shopping or eating but out of town enough to be quiet and peaceful. Kitchen was very well stocked to do our own cooking and the screen porch was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the birds, flowers and trees. Nice place to walk along the quiet country road. Beds were comfy and all linens and towels supplied were soft and clean. Laundry was convenient to use in the house and TV/ living room area were great for gathering to relax after busy days. Hostess Anita was very helpful and available to answer any questions both before we arrived and after we checked in.

Scrapbooking retreat

We had a great time at this property. The host, Anita, was the best and very responsive. The house/kitchen is very stocked. The house is perfect for scrapbooking/ crafting. The house has special lightning in the craft area. Tables, chairs, tools, and cricut are already there. We will be back next year!!

Great week of vacation and scrapbooking

It was a perfect house set up for scrapbooking and vacation. It was quiet, skirt like a baby. Close to all the Hershey tourist attractions and restaurants/shopping. We also drove 2.5 miles to Washington DC. Definitely recommend others to stay here!

Trip to Hershey

My husband and children (adult and teenagers) stayed at this property for a trip to Hershey. The house is in a good location and the property manager is informative and gave us recommendations for nearby restaurants. Side note: In our down time, the boys enjoyed throwing a football on the large property.

Pennsylvania vacation

Excellent host! Very clean house with everything we needed in it. House is in a great location for seeing regional attractions. If I was ever going to go back to that part of PA and needed a place for a small group, this would be it! Enjoyed every minute of our family vacation.

Hershey getaway

Excellent choice for a hershey park getaway or anything nearby great location and close to everything. Anita was very informative with information and a great host. We are a busy family, active with baseball, our kids & life! Scrapbooking & crafting for over 20 years, we wanted to provide a place for folks to be able to sneak away to do the things that they enjoy We too are lovers of the Hershey area & attractions & spend free time visiting some of the area wineries & other antique malls & area attractions as a family.

Why they chose this property

The house is a family property built in 1972 by my husband's father. Family being very important to him, he sought to create a warm, welcoming home for his children, family & visiting friends. Coming from a large family, there were many family gatherings & memories made in this house. Through the years, as families grew & some passed on, we continue to keep his legacy alive. We do everything we can to provide a warm, welcoming "home away from home" for our guests.

As a hobbiest & crafter, the house was set up with crafters & quilters in mind. However, we maintained the flexibility of being able to turn the house quickly into a vacation tourist home for visiting guests.

What makes this property unique

The house is just off the Middletown Hummelstown exit of Route 283. It's convenient location gives quick access to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and the Harrisburg International Airport. Just minutes from Hershey, you'll be able to stay in an affordable location without having to drive great distances to enjoy the attractions.
