The Xanadu1 Building is a prestigious, exclusive and highly sought-after property at Cresent beach, North Myrtle Beach with only 18 units. Our spacious 3 bedroom unit offers total privacy, beautiful bay windows and an unobstructed views of the blue ocean…. As you enter the unit, you will be enveloped by fantastic view of the blue ocean; it is just you, the ocean and the beautiful sea breeze.. ..nothing else will matter!

Do come and relax in this professionally decorated and furnished unit and soak in the sun while enjoying the view of the ocean from various living spaces, master bedroom and the beautiful spacious private balcony. Our home is beautifully furnished and fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities of home. The furniture, mattresses and gadgets are all top of the line. The condo has multiple televisions, DVD, VCR and other amenities such as your own private laundry room inside the condo with full size washer and dryer! Sleeping accommodations are king bed in master bedroom, queen bed in second bedroom, a double and twin bed in 3rd bedroom and a large king sofa in the living room can also be fold out for additional sleeping arrangement.

There is an outdoor pool, and an entertaining area with chaise lounges for taking in the sun on the way to the private beach entrance. There is ample on-site parking adjacent to the building.

We will be delighted to have you stay with us and give you the whole scoop on places to go as well as nearby amenities! There are numerous outdoor and indoor activities around the Condo. Take a stroll or rent a cart on the Main Street to browse through various boutiques, home décor or antique shops. The Golden Griddle and Hoskins (a historic restaurant) are local favorites for breakfast and lunch respectively! The area offers over hundred very well manicured golf courses as well as numerous mini golf centers. Barefoot Landing, House of Blues, Legends in Concert and Alabama Theater are only 10 minutes from the condo. Palace Theater, Dixie Stampede, Carolina Opry, Ripley’s Aquarium and Broadway at the Beach are great nearby attractions -- just to name a few. Great restaurants welcome you all around with a range of prices for every budget. The Condo also has brochures and pamphlets to guide you towards an array of nearby activities.

Want to poke around further? No worry! Beautiful pristine old towns like Georgetown, Southport, Calabash, Wilmington and Pawley’s island are within an hour away --- great towns to stroll through and check out various quaint shops, restuarants and boutiques --- any specialty shop or antique lover’s paradise! Charleston is within a couple of hours drive – perfect for a day long excursion for the more adventurous ones wanting to experience what more the area has to offer! :)

The unit is easily accessible with elevators and a secured entrance. There are five to seven small easy steps before main/first floor with elevators. for No smoking permitted in the unit. Any tenant under 25 must be accompanied by an adult or families.

Wonderful stay

Location was great and the place was clean. We didn't notice the outdated aspect that others complained about. It is a beach condo and looked like it. Stayed over the 4th of July weekend and watched all the fireworks from the deck. Plenty of room and right on the beach.

The propery is older, but clean. The stairs and elevator were near the door. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms were perfect for our group of 7 adults. The balcony had tables and chairs overlookimg the ocean. The beach was nice and not too crowded. The pool in the complex was great. It was a good location in North Myrtle Beach. Just a short drive to everything we had planned to do.

Hi Arthur, thanks for your comments. I am a bit surprised by some of your update comments. The couple of times we spoke or connected via phone, you only told me how great the condo was — you said beds were super comfortable, the condo was very nice with a spectacular view etc etc.. basically what a great condo it was and how much you enjoyed it. I was not aware of any issue from you. The TV is a large HD TV, only a couple of years old. No renter ever has had any problem operating it before. Also, the property goes through regular maintenance and updates each season. The condo is professionally furnished with comfy furniture and high end mattresses. We change items/furniture and repaint/repair as needed each year after each season.. We get compliments from many guests on the property and decor. The HOA property management takes care of the building facility 24 hours 7 days a week. This is a well kept compound. There are five to seven easy steps to get to elevator which is fairly common for many direct oceanfront buildings in the area so close to the ocean ... usually people never have any issue. Anyway, I would have appreciated if you told me about some of the improvement update comments when I called you on the phone re: parking violation issue. I remember we talked at length on the phone and you only raved about the condo at that time. This condo is well maintained, very popular, gets back to back book during peak season and gets many returning customers which is nice. Anyway, thanks for your feedback. I will definitely remember your suggestions and look to see how best we can serve you better next time! It was great having you. Thanks again for visiting us!

This Renter was upset because she did not want to climb the 7 steps to go up the elevator which was already stated on the advertisement. Most oceanfront building are on stilts/higher grounds as safety measures from hurricane or flood water risks and have a few steps to the elevator— and we clearly stated that in the condo advertisement— which she did not bother to read or could not read as hundreds do. Also, she never contacted us with any issue, only re: the steps once she got there (which we could not help her with since it was outside our control (and in our 15 years of ownership, no one had any problems!!!). Bottomline, this review is totally subjective, unprofessional , untrue - only a devious way to get back at us. We have used a professional cleaning company and no one has had any issues and the condo was back to back rented all season. Either way, we would have sent the cleaning folks or taken care of any issue /problem had this vindictive, careless renter bothered to inform us real time. We care about all our guests. Anyway, as they say, for every 100 renters, there will always be one or two “bad apples”.. Bottomline, the condo is very popular, highly sought after each and every year and we expect the trend to continue.

Exactly what we were looking for

When hurricane Isaisis came through and ruined our vacation plans on Ocean Isle Beach, we found this great place last minute. The owner was more than accommodating, great communication! Condo was perfect for us! The 3rd floor views of the ocean, right on the beach. The elevator made the third floor no issue at all. Three bedrooms, three baths, right on the water, and a pool...can't beat it!

Love the place and the location. We ended up with just 5 ladies instead of 8, the only problem was the bedroom with the Queen Bed in it the toilet could not be used because it would run over. And whoever does the housekeeping doesn't do a good job. But I don't hold that against VRBO or the Owners.

I am sorry that this renter did not contact us during her 3night stay. We would have gladly sent our maintenance man to look at the toilet (btw, no one else after her stay has complained about it). Also, I would have resend the cleaning company to do whatever she needed done and meet her needs. We always go extra length to make our renters happy and satisfied during their stay. . However, we can not do all that if the renter does not contact us/reach out real time during their actual stay instead of providing feedback afterwards.. I am also a bit surprised at this 3 star review. This renter actually sent me a text after her departure stating she really enjoyed her stay, condo is great and that if we ever want to sell the condo, they’d be very interested. Anyway, she was nice and said she would definitely be back visiting our condo and we certainly hope she does so we can do better!

Sabrina is very communicative. We arrived earlier than we had anticipated, even after shopping & eating lunch. Luckily, we were able to get into the condo. I found out she was actually in Florida. Well stocked kitchen. Love the fact there are 3 bathrooms(We have never had that). Nice view on the 3rd floor. Sabrina was very flexible & was able to meet my expectations. Thank you!

Facility dated. Especially the oven. It may have a short since we couldn’t turn off oven light & control panel felt warm even though oven never turned on. Cold showers were had when hot water ran out. Some utensils plastic. Mattress fine. Good location. Parking close to building. Good access to beach and enjoyed pool. They accept your deposit money much faster than they return it. Last day Aug. 5th and have not received refund of security deposit as of today [Aug. 21] Summary: Adequate if you don’t mind roughing it a bit.

This renter seems be inexperienced, overly nitpicking and mainly basing their review for not getting the deposit in time which is not owner’s fault — that is a homeaway /VRBO matter. I approve all deposits the same day as each departure and also told this renter to check with VRBO since all the credit card transaction /deposit return is outside our control. Regarding the oven, It is relatively new and everything should work fine, so I am guessing this is a user error (renter did not know how to use it properly). We have never had any complaint on the oven or hot water (and the condo is back to back booked with 8-9 tenants taking long showers each day with no problem!). There was no issue on either items from any renter who stayed in the condo after these folks left. Either way, this renter should have notified us of any issue while they were there, and we would have gladly sent our maintenance guy within 1/2 hour. We are always an email or phone call away and very responsive to the needs of all our guests. Finally, the building is a nice quaint prestigious direct oceanfront building in the heart of north myrtle beach with only 18 units and is the exactly how it is shown/advertised in the pics. The unit is a spacious, professionally decorated unit and gets rave reviews due to the facility, privacy and serene atmosphere given less traffic/tenants. And plastic utensils, seriously? All gadgets we provide should be good quality and I wonder if someone replaced them or brought in additional items and left them? Anyway, we do a thorough checking on everything in the condo after each season and the condo gets remodeled/replenished/repaired each year. Looking back, even before arrival, based on email communication style, these folks seemed like they have never rented before and somewhat negative. Asked questions that most seasoned renters would know and they never said thank you once after getting each question response in less than 5 min.Bottom line, this renter is overly nitpicking and mainly unhappy due to the security deposit issue even after I told them we are not holding their deposit — they would have to call VRBO since we don’t process credit card transactions — that’s a VRBO issue and VRBO usually takes care of any delay right away. As owners, we approve all security deposit on the same day of renter departure. Bottom line, this condo is a beautiful unit , very popular, back to back booked and well maintained and we expect the trend to continue.

First let me say the location was outstanding. The condo was in terrible shape. We were told that towels were furnished. There was 6 bath towels, 3 hand towels and 3 wash cloths for 8 people. Had to go buy towels. In the master bedroom, I closed the shower door and it came off in my lap, also the toilet was loose The couch had stains all over it, broken chair on patio, mold found on shower curtain in one of the bedrooms and there was no light in the refrigerator. The condo was very outdated. We will never stay there again.

I am very sorry to hear this renter did not have enough towels and other things. I will address that with the cleaning crew. I am unhappy about that myself. That said, there are always extra bath towels in the laundry room cabinet and had this renter contacted me right after check in .. I would have gladly sent my maintenance crew to take care of everything. But during the 4 day stay, this renter never bothered to call me or send me a text.. The condo has been back back booked and some of the things (broken patio chair, fridge light, stain etc) must have happened during the season and all this will be fixed, repaired/replaced after the season as we normally do unless the renters tell us when they are there.. I wish this renter contacted me real time during his stay, I would have gladly sent my maintenance crew to take care of all these small stuff ASAP. We own multiple condos and are responsible owners. . There is no way for us to address/fix/replace anything if no one calls us. Anyway, we always do deep clean, thorough inspection both before and after each season. The condo goes through extensive revamp each year and we revamp everything — update/ replace various items items/utensils/furniture/paint/deep clean etc after each season. Bottomline, The condo is extremely well maintained, spacious, clean, direct oceanfront, highly popular and sought after. We get many good reviews and returning customers and we expect the trend to continue.

Great Beach Access, Condo needs cleaning and upgrades

Loved the easy access to the beach and the quiet pool. I had read the reviews and thought Jessica J might have just been a disgruntled tenant. Unfortunately, we found many of her complaints to be warranted. While we were there, the pool gate code didnt work even after pool maintenance team reported it to the management company, the elevator broke one day, the master bedroom doesnt get adquate air conditioning, and many repairs are needed to the unit. The dishes in the cabinets were dirty and there weren't adequate utensils. Many of the pans were not usable. Definitely would not stay here again. For several years, we have stayed at several VRBOs a year and we have never had such a unit in need of so much improvement. The owners seem very nice and communicative, but I would want renters to be honest in their reviews as I rely on the reviews when making my rental selections.

I am sorry that the condo was not as you would have liked. My record shows I reached out to you during your stay and you never bothered to respond or let me know any of this.. I would have gladly send my maintenance team to see whats going on. I also do not appreciate you trying to gang up or drag other disgruntled renter into your review. Are you guys friends? Also, FYI..The AC unit is brand new (a $7000 investment) as of May 2021. The dishes/utensils were bought 2 years ago and in plenty. If the pool gate or elevator was broken one day, that is a building HOA and property management matter and outside my control. Either way, it was fixed same day since I never heard that from another renter. Also, after I saw your review, I immediately reached out to cleaning company (we use a very well reputed professional cleaning company for all our condos and they usually do a good job). I was told that with Covid, there has been high shortage of maid services that week but it was cleaned properly. Either way, we plan to use a different cleaning company next year. Finally, , the condo has been back to back booked since May and some wear/tear is expected which we take care of after the season —- including deep cleaning, repairs, replenishing, repainting and any furniture replacement each year. Once Again, I checked my record and see that I did reach out to you during your stay asking how everything was going and if you needed anything (a courtesy check in that I make to all our guests). However, there was no reply from you.. Had I known the condo was not as you hoped for, I would have addressed that right away real time in an hour or so (including sending new utensils!). We are responsible owners, own multiple condos in that area & timely response from renters directly helps me to remedy the situation right away. (Versus absolutely no communication despite my check in inquiry and then be hit by a scathing review after the stay) . Communication a two way street. Finally, as seasoned owners, we know for hundreds renters, there will always be some “bad apples” who are never pleased, quick to criticize, never communicate with owners real time — only so that they can put in a horrible review afterwards & feel good about exercising little power over owners. Anyway, Good luck with your next stay elsewhere. The condo is highly popular for many years, we get many good renters and reviews via website, personal emails, phone calls and we expect the trend to continue.

Great beachfront location, but somewhat outdated condo

My family stayed here in June 2018 with one other family. Hands down the best thing about this condo is the location directly on the beach with wonderful views of the ocean which is exactly why we booked it. Overall the condo is a bit outdated with not very comfortable beds or bedding or pillows. But we were families with small kids so it was fine for us. And if it were super modern and fancy it would cost a lot more per night. There are signs up from the owners asking not to eat messy food on the couch however there were already stains on the couch. And signs asking to be careful with luggage in the hallway but the hallway walls were already scuffed up when we got there. There were also dirty dishes in the cabinet when we got there . We alerted the owners about some of this stuff and they responded immediately and were very surprised and apologetic and gave us a late check out for the inconvenience which was very nice and gave us all an extra half day on the beach. The owners were great to work with. One more minor thing, I love wine and was not happy to see that there were only plastic wine glasses. I'm not a fan of drinking wine out of plastic, if you have this issue too maybe bring or buy wine glasses. Overall we had a great trip because the beaches here are so nice and its a great area with great restaurants too.

I appreciate the feedback but frankly a bit perplexed by this. First of all, the Condo is professionally decorated with beautiful high-end furniture (including a $2000 antique side board) and mattresses. All our renters actually have praised us for the beautiful decor. Also, decor is a personal taste or choice and if the renter wanted super modern Ikea type furniture, she should have known that from the pictures when selecting the Condo. The Unit is exactly how it is shown in pictures. Also, we get hundreds of customers and have never had any issue with using plastic wine glasses — we don’t want folks (esp kids breaking or getting hurt). Also, we responded to any maintenance request to the renter’s satisfaction within an hour. The owner signs are there to alert renters to avoid messing up the condo and the small stain on the couch and slight scruff marks must have happened recently during the season and will be taken care of when the Condo is repainted and updated during annual maintenance repair/check in post season when traffic is slow. This is not a hotel and some small wear and tears should be expected during back to back heavy traffic in peak season. Even then, our maintenance crew responded to requests this renter had within an hour and she herself told me she liked and had a wonderful time at the Condo. Finally, there were definitely a lot of small kids during their 3-day stay since my maid service notified me that the Condo was very dirty post-departure , there were food crumbs all around and some of the blinds were twisted and warped. (I was sent pictures). It also looked like the kids stood and jumped around on the beds too. Anyway, we appreciate the feedback and I have already alerted the maid service about the dishes (a one-off incident) — however, unfortunately the comments seem clearly subjective to pure personal choice/taste, a bit confusing and overly picky. On top of taking care of all her requests (inc restaurant recommendation) within an hour, we also allowed this renter to do a late check out by 3 pm (vs 10 am that morning) which most owners would not allow during peak season. Bottomline, the Condo is exactly how it is shown, direct ocean front, beautiful, comfortable. spacious, clean with high end furniture and beds. We also always go the extra mile to take care of all our renters needs. The Condo is very popular, gets many returning customers, and stays back to back booked during peak season. We expect the trend to be the same.

Memorial Day Weekend

Owners were very helpful and attentive to our needs and questions. Ocean front, access to the ocean and pool was awesome!! When we arrived the condo was in good order, but had a very musty odor like it had been closed up for quite a while. The master bedroom and bath were the nicer of the 3 bedrooms. Except there was black mold around the white caulking around the tub and the carpet in that room was old and had frayed edges facing the hallway. A definite tripping hazard. The green bedroom in the front, had a ceiling fan that had at least 1/4" dirt on the blades. The bathroom had black mold on the shower ceiling and on the white caulking on the floor. The pillows are very flimsy. The bedroom window faced the main outside hall and had a light shining into the room all night. Window had no curtains. I had to use my beach towels to block the light. Owner needs to put curtains up to block this annoying light. Carpeting in this room as well as the other bedrooms are brown and old and in great need of repair. The 3rd bathroom was also in need or update and repair. It had very old wallpaper and a leaking shower door. If you want a quiet vacation don't book over Memorial Day weekend - Bikers Weekend (we are from VA and not aware) . Owners stated that previous renters didn't notice noise. Probably because there was only 1 couple that stayed in bedroom facing ocean. Other bedrooms were facing road and the cycles and their radios were very loud all night long despite calling the police. I finally turned on the bathroom fan to drown out some of the noise. During the day we were at beach and pool having fun. Despite everything it was great to be together as a family and I just love the ocean!

This renter is absolutely any owner's nightmare. She called and texted nonstop about small things in the 3 days rental period several times a day. They couldn't figured anything out. We had to deal with her all through weekend and sent our maintenance man 3-4 times to cater to their needs. I have spent over $850 over just 3 days to appease this person. We changed the water heater on a Sat morn b/c this person called Fri night saying water wasn't hot enough.. They could not even figure out the blinds (which are brand new) or even the wifi (which worked fine after they arrived but then they messed up and straightened up only after we told her it was a building wifi and was working for everyone!) . This person would keep texting me all day and evenings at odd hours with odd requests. They even messed with the brand new refrigerator setting where it went to defrost mode and leaked water where I had to send someone again. Finally, this lady had the gall to ask for late check out begging me saying they were enjoying their weekend so much at the condo and that her grandson really wanted to play on the ocean that morning. We even accomodated that. (We usually don't make exception with back to back booking and someone was coming that afternoon. ) The condo has gone through $25k renovation and the doors, window, blinds, appliances, furniture are all brand new. But this people just felt they could pick on everything (a mat being trip hazard, seriously?). Finally, the noise is also fictional since condo has had a lot of renters (mostly large families since this is a 3-bedroom unit) who never complained about noise before. She just doesn't sleep well or perhaps too busy bothering other people?) Basically, this old lady was just looking for an excuse to get a discount. I had to tell her after she checked out not to rent or bother us anymore. We own 3 condos (2 in the same building) and we had renters in all the condos that weekend and no one bothered us except this person. We are corporate professionals and careful who we rent to. We would never rent to this person again. . Totally inconsiderate, ungrateful and two faced. I have been told that every hundred renters, expect a couple of bad ones. Again, the condo is newly renovated, gets back to back booked through out the year and we get many good reviews via email, cards, phone calls. The condo is very popular and we expect will continue to be so as usual.

The Perfect Family Getaway!

We hadn’t been to Myrtle in years and it did not disappoint! The Xanadu condo has plenty of sleeping space and privacy, with a gorgeous view and steps from the beach! We found everything we needed in the kitchen for the nights we stayed in, and the hosts gave us a generous list of recommendations for the nights we went out! We had a great time and would gladly return in the future!!

Falsely advertised!

The oceanfront location, pool and private beach access saved this trip. The price for three nights (inclusive of incredibly high fees) was huge stretch for our budgets but we splurged for the location - which was the only thing true about how this is listed. Where to start: - “beautiful… and professionally decorated” maybe when it was done in the 90’s. The sofa was stained on both sides of the cushions so there was no way to avoid sitting on them. The master bedroom comforter was also stained. The undersheet did not fit properly and therefore came off every night leaving us to sleep on the plain mattress that had god only knows what stains hiding in it. - “ Our home is beautifully furnished and fully equipped with all the comforts and amenities of home. The furniture, mattresses and gadgets are all top of the line.”. HA! - The sleeper sofa is so old I cannot imagine how anyone can sleep on it. Our 12 year old boys lasted one night and then refused it was so uncomfortable. They are by no means high maintenance as both camp regularly sleeping in only a sleeping bag. - The tv in the master is old but does work once you can figure out how to make it work. - The kitchen was poorly stocked with a hodgpodge of old dishes and cookware - not enough cutlery for a the group of 8 we had. Forget about serving dishes and utensils. - it gets a very cursory cleaning - probably an hour at the most - after each guest, the cleaning still hadn’t showed up at 1 the day we left (stayed with a friend the last day who’s place was really, really nice place a lower rate) With new guests arriving for the 3 o’clock check inn there is no way they could even get the sheets properly washed and dried and in time. Not what I expect from a home of the this price, I’ve stayed at places with much more for much less. This is the only disappointment I’ve ever had on VRBO - shame on the owners for not giving what could be an amazing condo some love, and update and elbow grease. I will not stay here again.

I really don’t want to waste a lot of time responding and refuting this subjective baseless personal attack. As seasoned owners of multiple condos, we know, for hundreds of renters, there will always be some who will find fault no matter what and viciously criticize and complain for nothing just because they can. This person obviously is hard to please and any owner’s nightmare. She booked the condo for only 3 nights but one would think she stayed there for a month based on her nitpicking on everything. She never once called us if she was so unhappy. We have folks who stayed before and after her who have given us wonderful reviews via website and emails. Obviously , this renter has a lot time on her hands and using her little power based on a very short stay. The condo is exactly how it’s shown. This person saw the pictures of the condo before renting.. if there were small stain on the couch, she should have told me right away since it must have happened during the season. Also, this is not a hotel and some small wears in the course of being back to back booked and heavy traffic may happen at times which is always inspected and fixed after the season. There is no way for us to replace anything when the condo is back to back booked. We always do inspection and replace stuff /update furniture/paint/deep clean etc after the season. Above all, this person was supposed to check out by 10 am in the morning!! But her note suggests she was still at the condo at 1 pm or came back to spend time at the condo around 1 pm when the maid service showed up? She overstayed her contract and is lucky we are not going after her for that. And it’s not her business when maid service shows up. She herself should have checked out by 10 am!! While at the condo, these people never contacted us on sheets etc anything.. we would have addressed it at that time. (BTW, the cleaning company does not wash the dirty sheets in the condo, they bring new sets with them. This person is not a seasoned traveler to know that and complaining based on a subjective and uneducated assumption!) Also, there are always extra sheets in the cub board she could have used or contact us. We are seasoned responsible owners, own multiple oceanfront condos and always take care of our guests. Bottomline, The condo is spacious, clean, direct oceanfront and very popular. We get many good reviews and returning customers and we expect the trend to continue.

Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay. Lots of space, large kitchen area. No more staying cramped up in a 2 bed efficiency. Very convenient pulling our beach wagon down to the beach.
