Incredible property. Gustavo, the owner, is an amazing host. There are some eccentricities to the home but if you can adapt the experience/home/grounds are like nothing else. 5 out of 5.....would stay there again….

Dream house in paradise

This has to be by far the best Villa ive ever stayed in, gustavo was an amazing host and welcomed us with lots of love, this home is beautiful and very elegant and the surroundings are surreal, special shout out to Lalo our driver and our villa chef was an amazing cook! Thank you for having us!

Fun central property for a family and friends

with 4 king sized beds, the house fits many people! we only stayed two nights, but lalo the driver showed us around for three full days, ate dinner at the property, and the garden offered plenty of places to hang out and look at the trout and cows across the creek. we kept warm by a fireplace fed by plenty of firewood at night, and listened to music. there was a tv, which i think we turned on once for our 4 year old daughter. thanks for a great stay!

Adventure in the Sacred Valley

We had a lovely two week stay. The house is unique, creative, and as pictured. Gustavo’s communication is quick, warm, helpful. One of the luxuries is the daily breakfast included. We also took advantage of several meals which were delicious. We went in South American winter, recommend comfy loungewear and warm slippers. Pisaq’s Inca ruins are extraordinary.

Amazing stay for family

Amazing communication with host! The home is just as the pictures describe. We didn't want to stay in a crowded and busy hotel so this property provided us with an intimate place for my family. Fiancé and I traveled with grandpa and grandma, a 4yo and a 7yo. We picked the location because is halfway between Cusco and Ollantaytambo train station for our trip to Machu Picchu. The kids loved playing outside and splashing in the pool. Sharme, the chef, made our stay hassle-free. We are already planning our return to this property.

Amazing Stay in Lamay

The house and grounds are wonderful. We were there in the wintertime, so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but it looks nice. There are so many lovely spots to relax around the grounds, either solo or conversation nooks, and most with the sounds of a nearby fountain or the beautiful stream that runs close to the house. Gustavo answered any questions that I had so promptly and he is a friendly and gracious host who greeted us and introduced us to the property. He also arranged transportation for us and Lalo took excellent care of is from Pisac to Lamay and then from Lamay to Cusco. The breakfast that was included was excellently prepared by Sharme — fresh strawberry juice was delicious! We rejoined the rest of our family in Cusco just raving about this house and grounds!

Wonderful stay!

Gustavo’s house is just as beautiful (or more) as the pictures and other reviews indicate! Gustavo is just an amazing human and host! He helped ensure all of our needs were met and assisted with other parts of planning our trip. We had meals cooked by Sharme, which was very convenient! Please know if you don’t have a car, you will either want to have Sharme help with meals or plan to cook (which means buying ahead in Cusco). Lalo drove us several days of our trip and was excellent! He was like our own personal tour guide! He quickly figured out what we enjoyed and gave us recommendations that ended up being highlights of our trip! Book this house!! You won’t regret it!! One tip if you do book- bring warm lounging clothes and slippers. The house can be on the cooler side, not a problem but we were thankful we saw the tip for slippers and had them.

A mountain hideaway.

We spent two weeks at Cusco Villas. We rode horses, hiked into the village of Lamay, ate cuy, used all the showers -- you have to go there to understand :-) -- took the train to Machu Picchu, was driven by Lalo to all the local archeological sites, and had wonderful breakfasts and dinners (plus one Peruvian cooking lesson) by Sharme. Many of our excursions were arranged by our superhost. But the best part of Cusco Villas is the distance from all the noise and chaos of life. Unplugged (by choice), we relaxed in the evenings by playing chess together – something we’ve never done but appreciated so much we bought a chess set as soon as we got home. We spent many of our days simply enjoying the house and the gardens, watching the fish, the birds, and the skunk cows, and stargazing at night.

Amazing Sacred Valley Villa with Fantastic Host!

My wife and I were absolutely impressed with our stay at Gustavo's villa in the Sacred Valley. We stayed for 6 nights and used the villa as our home base to see many of the surrounding sights on day trips including Machu Picchu, Pisac, Sacsayhuamán, Tambomachay, Puka Pukara, Ollantaytambo, and Q’enqo. The villa and property was beautifully maintained and we couldn't have asked for a more accommodating host than Gustavo. Gustavo arranged transportation each day, breakfast every morning, dinners, laundry, and even Peruvian cooking classes (thank you Sharme!). We used the wood fireplace, outdoor grill, walked the gardens at sunset, and soaked in the hot tub after a long day. This was a very memorable trip that we will never forget. The service and accommodations surpassed all of our expectations - pure luxury! I highly recommend staying at Gustavo's villa. Thank you to Gustavo and company for hosting us. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to stay with you again in the future.

Amazing!!!

Gustavo‘s place was amazing. This was truly the best Vrbo experience we’ve ever had. The house was even better than shown in the photos, but what makes Gustavo‘s place so special is his commitment to customer service. Gustavo personally welcomed us on our day of arrival by giving us a tour of the house. He also arranged all our excursions as we used Lamay as our base to tour all of the Cusco region. What makes Cusco Villas stand out is his staff. Sharme cooked us wonderful breakfast every day and a three course meal each night which was simply delicious. Lalo the taxi driver/guide was phenomenal. He took us everywhere in the Cusco region, including Rainbow Mountain and Humantay Lake. By the end of stay, he was like family. Lalo‘s attention to detail and concern for us was unrivaled. He truly made our stay incredible. As many reviews have stated before, I would highly recommend Gustavo‘s place with his amazing staff, Sharme and Lalo. They are truly wonderful people and made our vacation to Peru unforgettable.

Incredible Experience in the Sacred Valley!

We had an amazing week long stay at Gustavo’s house in Lamay. The house and property are unique and beautiful and located in a stunning valley surrounded by mountains. One of the many mountain rivers that feed the Urubamba runs right through the beautifully designed and maintained grounds. Gustavo’s communication and attention to detail is excellent, he supplied us with fantastic information throughout our trip planning and supported us as flight cancellations altered our plans. He made sure we were comfortable with every aspect of the house and property when we arrived and was always quick to reply whenever I reached out to him.Whatever requests we had throughout the trip were quickly handled by Gustavo, Sharme and Lalo. Sharme’s cooking is fantastic and we enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners throughout our stay. Her management of the house and property is equally skillful. Lalo drove us all around the Sacred Valley, taking us to the major sites but also using his extensive knowledge to show us some less well known spots that we never would have seen otherwise. Lalo was a great resource and guide, all of his recommendations were excellent and the whole family enjoyed all of our day trips. The care and attention taken by the team to support and welcome us, coupled with the transcendent beauty of the Sacred Valley made this an unforgettable stay and one that I would strongly recommend to anyone who is headed to the Cusco area.

All I can say is that this was one of the most wonderful places we've ever stayed! Gustavo was so kind and helpful. He would stop at nothing to make sure everything was perfect for us, and it was! Lemay Special

This was a truly spectacular villa and the pictures don’t do it justice. Gustavo was incredibly responsive with lots of great stories and full of cheer, Lalo was a great driver and tour guide and became a good friend, Charmaine was a terrific cook and housekeeper and Patti was an awesome masseuse. I give this my highest recommendation and hope to get back one day soon to spend some more time at the Villa. Steve

Phenomenal property

Our only regret was that we didn’t rent it longer and that we had our days overly packed to the point we didn’t get to just stay there and soak it up for at least a day or two. Will remedy that if we make it back this way again: Gustavo is the best host ever as he responds to any questions or concerns immediately and helps with the solution. The meals were fantastic and Lalo drove us everywhere we asked and even foresaw half the things we didn’t know we wanted or needed making life simple. Stay here. :)

Stunning secluded property and one of a kind experience!

We absolutely loved our experience staying here! Gustavo was extremely nice, communicative and and quick at responding to all of my messages! He gave us so much information and was very helpful in planning our stay! We met him at the property and he is a really funny and charismatic person! The house was absolutely beautiful and the showers were one of a kind! We paid extra to use the hot tub, which was just what we needed after days of hiking. He also organized an amazing horseback riding tour for us as well! I would not hesitate to recommend Gustavo or his place to anyone who wants a beautiful getaway in Peru!

Incredible Property and Amazing People

My family and I spent an amazing week at Cusco Villas - and the experience was truly unforgettable. The property is even more unbelievable in-person than in the pictures. Gustavo has created a magical, tranquil oasis in the Sacred Valley. The sprawling property consists of a luxurious home surrounded by your very own botanical garden. There really are just too many details to describe - the sounds of the stream that winds alongside the property, the hidden alcoves where you can sit in quiet reflection, the multiple water features, the fireplaces, the incredible showers... I could go on and on. Aside from the stunning property, what truly made this vacation so memorable was the time that we spent with the incredible people at Cusco Villas. Gustavo was a superb host with a magnetic personality - answering questions months prior to our arrival, taking time to review my trip itinerary, making invaluable suggestions, and always a text message away. He warmly greeted us when we arrived at Cusco Villas, giving us a tour of his property, and he was there to see us off on our last day. He regaled us with fascinating stories and he quickly felt like an old friend. Sharme - the multi-talented house manager / executive chef - was always available to fulfill any request, big or small. She greeted us each morning with a delicious breakfast. Her skills in the kitchen were spectacular and she would prepare the most amazing meals - among the best we had on our entire trip. From homemade stuffed-crust pizzas to lomo saltado - each meal was an inviting, multi-course experience filled with authentic Peruvian flavors. Lalo, our driver/guide extraordinaire, was the person with whom we spent the most time - and he became a member of our family during our trip. From pick-up to drop-off at the airport, Lalo was with us every day. He drove us to all of the sights, making fantastic itinerary suggestions based on how much or how little we wanted to do in the day. His wealth of local knowledge, kindness, and authenticity made our time with him unforgettable. We had the wonderful privilege of having Christmas Eve dinner with him, his wife, and their two wonderful children - an experience I will always cherish & remember. Lalo taught us about the rich history of the Sacred Valley, the Quechua people, and his hometown of Pisac. I'm truly grateful for his friendship. Thank you Gustavo, Sharme, & Lalo for making our family vacation such an unforgettable experience!

Family trip to Cusco Villas ...

We just returned from our trip to Peru, and the highlight of our trip was our stay at Cusco Villas. From the beginning, I was impressed with Gustavo's quick response and his ability to anticipate our every need. When we arrived, we had a driver ( Lalo) waiting for us at the airport. He took care of our luggage and gave us a wonderful tour on our way to the house. Arriving at the house, Gustavo ( the owner) was waiting to welcome us and give us a tour of the house. The house is even more breathtaking than the photos from the website. The photos truly do not do it justice. Charme not only was an incredible cook, but she also made sure to take care of every last detail and every one of our needs during our stay. She asked what food we liked, and made sure to prepare meals that my husband and I and the kids would love. Sharme also coordinated with Lalo (the driver/tour Guide) any tours or transportation needs we had, as well as helping us plan an afternoon of horseback riding for me and the kids which made everything completely stress-free. Everyone truly made sure that we felt at home and went above and beyond. I highly recommend Cusco Villas as it is truly a beautiful and memorable place. Gustavo and his staff were incredible — I would definitely return in the future.

Extraordinarily home!

The villa certainly lived up to all of our expectations ( after reading lots of other reviews). Gustavo greeted us and was extremely thorough Showing us the ropes of the property. The house and grounds are lovely . The bathrooms are out of this world! Sharme , the housekeeper was terrific, she prepared delicious breakfasts and dinners, as well as taking care of all the drivers, masseuses ( exc.) , horseback riding... We are a a family of six adults , and as much as we love to be together the house allowed individual space. The only drawback IMO is the House is a distance from almost everything with the exception of Pisac, a pretty town with restaurants , ruins and a market. We took Gustavo’s advice and did not rent a car and are we ever glad👍 The drivers were excellent. All In all we had a fabulous week in Peru !
