We had an amazing time at the cabin! It was simple and cozy and just what we needed for a getaway. The view was beautiful and the location was just far enough away from the crazy of Silver Lake yet close enough to go to town.

GREAT FIND!! My husband found the perfect place for us to get away for a few days and explore the sand dunes and Silver Lake! Cozy cabin with everything we needed to have some fun, including a canoe and boat to cruise the gorgeous inlet and amazing Silver Lake!! And to have a laid back, no fuss host was the cherry on top!! Can't wait to come back for more!!

The house had a horrible mildew smell that hit you when you opened the door each time! It needs a update with paint as the ceilings were yellow with water spots. It needs a little TLC. The view from the porch was beautiful, location to town was great. It it a rough little place but we enjoyed our stay! It does not have a furnace but had a great little fire stove in the living room that worked great! The owner was easy to work with! A great little place if you don't want fancy!

I was sad to read the 3 star review. No one has made any comments this year about any odor. On the channel it can smell musty in the Hot & Humid days of summer when you open the door and go out. Glad you appreciated the wood burner, I am clear in my description there is no central heat. Most important you wrote you enjoyed your stay.

Such a restful place to get away! Beautiful views of the river, with kayaks and canoes paddling by by every day. We were visited by a green heron every morning, searching for the many fish and frogs we heard splashing.The cottage has everything you need for an outdoorsy vacation. It's not luxurious, but rather nostalgic and charming. This cottage has been loved for many years, in two different locations. It was fun to read the guest book and the engraving on the coffee table. I always love learning about the history of a place.It's worth noting that the cottages in the neighborhood are very close to each other, and the sound carries over the water. This didn't bother us, but if you're looking for complete silence and privacy, this may not be the place for you.Overall, this was a wonderful place to spend our week on the porch, on the water, and cuddled up watching a movie or two.

Great fishing!

Everyone enjoyed our stay. Cabin had everything we needed, kids enjoyed the fishing and wildlife.We all enjoyed the canoe rides down the river to silver lake. Would definitely come again!

Great Stay with lots of options!

This place was perfect- easy to relax and if you want something more stimulating it’s easy to get to via boat or car! Easy access to Lake Michigan and Silver Lake Sand Dunes or you can just hang out on the deck and chill with a view of the channel and state land across!

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
