About this property

Beautiful, new house on Lake Guntersville!

Sail, fish, ski or do nothing but relax on "The Cottage's" spacious deck overlooking Lake Guntersville. The Cottage is located at North Alabama Sailing Marina and is new throughout the two bedroom two bath 1200 square foot home. Large picture windows offer a million dollar view of the lake.
Bring your own boat, sail or motor, and launch from our private ramp and have parking for the vehicle and trailer adjacent to the Cottage. Slip space is provided throughout your stay. Walk out in the morning with a cup of coffee and get on your boat ready for the day. A charcoal grill and lakeside fire pit are provided for evening entertaining. Enjoy downtown Guntersville antique shopping, local music and casual dining within a short three mile drive or enjoy a day reading on the deck overlooking Lake Guntersville.
The house has all the amenities of home. It comes with a large front loading washer and dryer, and the kitchen has a full size electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils, and all the essentials to prepare a meal. The dining room has seating for six.
Gather in the large living room and sink in the comfy leather sofa and enjoy the view of beautiful Lake Guntersville. Watch movies on the large flat screen TV or venture out on the deck for dinner and drinks and while away the evening.
There are two spacious bedrooms. The master has a beautiful antique king bed and in-suite bath. The second bedroom has single twin and twin bunk beds with an adjacent full bath.
The Cottage comfortably accommodates five guests.
Linens for the bath and bedrooms are provided.
Groceries, restaurants, gas and bait are available within a mile. "Fire by the Lake" restaurant and bar is within walking distance and "Char Burger", a local favorite, is within a quarter of a mile.
Once you get here you won't want to leave!

We loved the house! It was perfectly located for our baseball tournament. It was very well equipped with everything we needed! My son loved being able to go fishing off the dock. We also enjoyed the swing on the dock in the shade with the nice breeze. It was a perfect getaway!

Simply the best well-maintained spacious property

I rented both of the owners houses that were right on Guntersville Lake at the marina. I have to say I was totally impressed with every single aspect of these properties. First the size , big well equipped, kitchens, living rooms bedrooms everything was spotless. Air conditioner worked great .I would gladly rent here again in a heartbeat . thank you to the owners for providing such a fine property

Leah, As a returning guest we are always happy and excited to have you visit and let us know you enjoyed your stay. Safety for our guests is our number one priority and I wanted to pass on, as the posted signs indicate, that we don’t allow swimming at the marina. Other Alabama marinas have experienced recent drownings due to electrical hazards and we would be devastated by that loss. Fur babies are not allowed in the Cabin or Cottage. We love animals but prefer to protect our guests that have severe allergies to animals and it is clearly stated in the rental agreement. We love having return guests but feel fur babies might be harmful to future quests…so please leave them with loving friends or relatives in the future. A group of sailors purchased the North Alabama Sailing Marina to ensure this beautiful sailing water would be available for many years to sailors throughout the region. My husband and I are part of the owners group. We came to the local area 15 years ago from Honolulu with three children who love the water and needed to be near the water. We sailed in Hawaii and I earned my US Sailing instructor's certificate while there. I am a registered US Coast Guard Captain and avid sailor who likes to race sailboats. Since sailing at Lake Guntersville we have become fast friends with several other sailors who love the area and wanted to ensure the marina was going to be available for the community to use and we bought it in January of 2016.

The Sailors Group (TSG) has eight active family partners and we own 25 sailboats! We all love to sail and enjoy the water. With a labor of love we renovated the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom "Cottage" so that others could visit Guntersville and enjoy the same great lake we play on.

Some of the partners are around the marina most of the time and can give you information of where to eat, pick up groceries or when you might be able to hear live music in downtown Guntersville.

There is nothing like a fresh cup of coffee in the morning looking out over the lake. The best lake access is right out your door...a launch ramp and ample parking are provided and at the end of the day you can walk next door to "Fire by the Lake" and enjoy a meal, something to drink and often live music out on their dock.
