Enjoy having Mother Nature as your neighbor at Fancy Free. This lakefront chalet is tucked away in the private, small Heron Cove West community. Providing a much-needed break from everyday life, your vacation will be the source of wonderful memories you'll reflect on for years to come.

The spacious great room on the main level provides your group with plentiful room to stretch out and relax on the sectional sofa. Watch TV or pop in a DVD as you warm up by the floor-to-ceiling fireplace. A wall of windows lets in lots of natural light and reveals scenic views.

Enjoy home-cooked meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen or grilled out on the deck - there's plenty of space for everyone to dine together at the table and breakfast bar.

The main level primary suite is a private retreat when you want to unwind. Furnished with a king bed, TV and DVD player, you also have a private bath with a relaxing jetted tub and shower stall. You will love having deck access so that you can step outside each morning for a breath of fresh mountain air to start your day.

Head upstairs for a friendly game of pool with lake views in the background. You can keep snacks and drinks handy in the mini-fridge too. This area doubles as a sleeping space with a daybed with a twin trundle.

Everyone will love the lower level family room, which includes a TV, DVD player, foosball table, card table and soothing sauna. The gas fireplace adds the perfect ambiance when you are curled up on the sectional sofa watching a favorite movie.

The large, lower-level primary suite has a king bed, TV and DVD player. Doors lead to the patio where you will find the bubbling outdoor hot tub. It will soothe tired muscles and leave you feeling instantly at ease.

Two bedrooms are also located on the lower level. Each is decorated with your comfort in mind, and they both offer a queen bed, TV and DVD player.

Step outside onto the deck, and the natural beauty of tall timbers will surround you and create a peaceful setting for afternoon BBQs. Located about 50 feet from the water's edge, a short path leads you to on-the-water fun. Dock your boat, take a swim in our secluded cove or simply relax in the sun.

When the weather turns cold, take a short drive to Wisp Resort for skiing, snow tubing, ice skating and more. Other area activities and restaurants are also nearby. Book your next getaway today!

Baker’s Retreat

Great location and beautiful layout for entertaining. Very positive experience and loved the sauna. The other amenities (hot tub, pool table, foos ball and board games) could use some updating.

Great space! Very relaxing stay.

Our growing family stayed here over Thanksgiving. The kitchen had everything we needed for Thanksgiving dinner with all of the fixings. There was spenty of space and the setting is beautiful.

Amazing Lake Getaway

Fancy Free was the perfect spot for our vacation at Deep Creek Lake. The house has everything one could possibly need for a relaxing week. The house is very spacious and well maintained. We will return next year!

Lovely Home and Visit

One of the nicest pet-friendly house rentals I've stayed at. Very clean. Lots of space for everyone to spread out, do things together, or get some alone time if needed. Beautiful deck overlooking the lake. Well stocked with plenty of decent dishes, utensils, glasses, etc. Management company was very responsive on one issue we had with a shower; came quickly and fixed it. If we're ever back that way we would definitely stay here again.

The house was lovely and very functional. The kitchen was fantastic with quality cookware. The hottub was fairly clean and temp. Perfect. My only disappointment was the waterfront. Water is shallow and the shoreline could use some clean-up. We had our dogs with us and they enjoyed it thoroughly.Over-all, it was a very nice property but I wouldn't attempt to swim there. We did enjoy the water view. The front door needs some attention as it was difficult to operate the lock.

peaceful vacation

We stayed here labor day weekend to attend a wedding in the area, and a short mini vacation from home. It was plenty of space for a party of 10. The house was beautiful and maintained. It was a nice opened concept. The kitchen was stocked with a lot of extra appliances. The basement had an extra living room that the kids hung out at. We rented a boat for the weekend, and was able to keep at the property since there was a dock. I would definitely recommend renting this place.

Awesome place

Lake front but would be hard to swim off shore. There is a community dock right to the left of the backyard. House was awesome. Huge kitchen with tons of appliances. We did see bears trying to get in the garbage bin so just keep an eye out. Overall we had an amazing time and for sure would go back

Great time with all the family for Christmas

Loved the property. It was perfect for our family of cooking eating. The kitchen size was awesome and very well equipped. Only small issue was the night before our arrival the area utilities backed up in the laundry room. This overflowed into the carpet in the family room in the basement. The rental agency had servicepro come in and vacuum up the water, sit up blowers and a dehumifier. The equipment was noisey and everyone had to wear shoes otherwise their socks got wet from the wet carpet. All of this caused the maid service to be running behind so we were delayed in getting in the house. Otherwise a great property with the hot tub and fire pit. We will consider this house again for future Christmas vacations.

Family weekend

Nice large place. Huge well equipped kitchen. Hot tub, sauna and fire pit were nice. Needs some fixing up and TLC. Gas fireplace stopped working part way through weekend . But we had a good time. Snowed the morning we left, which was beautiful.

Family Fun

The property and home are beautiful. We had enough space for everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. The sauna and hot tub were a nice bonus. The inside of the house was immaculate and had more amenities than noted on the description. For instance, the property has two kayaks, a wide variety of board games, books, and movies. The kitchen provides all needed dish ware and cooking items. The kids loved the pool table. A few suggestions: replace the sofa bed mattresses (they are extremely thin and uncomfortable), put towels and sheets in plain view in all areas, provide additional pillowcases and blankets, and clean off the porch leaves before people check-in. Overall, our trip was amazing and the home was big enough for four families. I would highly recommend this property. We will be back soon.

Great Location!

The house was fantastic, and dog friendly! The quiet cove was exactly what we were looking for. There are neighbors nearby, but it still felt private. Everything in the kitchen was perfectly clean. I didn't feel like I need to clean the pan or rinse the utensil before using it. We will definitely be back.

Lovely and beautiful

Home was lovely and spacious. Outdoor fire pit was well done. House is right in the water. So it was easy to slip kayaks into the lake. Kitchen was well stocked and larger than expected. Nice coffee machine and espresso machine. Quiet end of the lake. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Hot Mama Mafia annual trip

The main space (open LIVINGROOM/ Diningroom) was perfect for our group to have options to hang out but, still be with the whole group (14)... the space is gracious and well-maintained and decorated. The sauna did not work which was disappointing as it was a draw along with the hot tub. The number of bedrooms was ok but will probably keep up from rebooking as several people slept on the sectionals. Our group has 13 people.

He had a serious reaction to a flea bite. I asked for the rugs to be cleaned and was told that evening or the next day. No one ever cleaned. I spent hours cleaning that house so my grandson could crawl on the floor without getting filthy. I am totally disappointed!

Reviewer Comments: The owner of this property needs to treat the well to eliminate the sulfur in the water, which causes the water to smell like rotten eggs or sewage. hated taking a shower and bought bottled water to drink. The carpet in the master bedroom is in horrible condition with stains everywhere. not inviting. Water leak over over the patio doors on the first floor living room, leaking through upper window.trash over the embankment behind the house.This was our third and final stay.
