We had such a great and relaxing weekend here! The setting was very peaceful and the house is so cute, very clean, and organized.We haved stayed in VRBOs in the past where the host was unresponsive and unhelpful. That was NOT our experience here. The host was incredibly accomodating and very responsive. Excelsior Springs, MO is a gem and we will definitely be back for a visit.

Quiet, comfortable getaway

Loved the quiet, peaceful solitude of this beautiful little house on the outskirts of town. We really enjoyed eating our evening meals on the balcony and listening to all the birds singing.

Relaxing and Quiet

I live in a noisy city and neighbourhood, so it was nice to stay at a place in a small town without homes close to each other where we could unwind after spending the day out and about. Access was easy, the beds were comfortable, and we had no issues making it a temporary home. Cute place.

We were in town for a graduation and this lovely home was perfect for our stay. It is located in a quiet neighborhood but was centrally located for access to family, stores and restaurants. The home was well supplied and the beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. The communication from our contact made the arrival and departure stress free. I wish we had more time to enjoy the home's other amenities, such as the barbecue and patio. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Great little house with modern updates.

The home was comfortable and provided a great vacation hub for the 4-5 days we stayed in KC area. Centrally located to historical areas like Liberty, Independence, and Far West. The only thing we wish the property had was laundry facilities. For a short stay not a problem, but for longer it was unfortunate we had to go sit at a laundry mat for several hours on our vacation...never seen a house without laundry. Guess we shouldn't have assumed. We had two adults and four children; utilizing the blow up mattress. That worked but did make the living room pretty tight once the bed was blown up. Not a complaint, just wanted to provide that information for anyone who wants to know. It worked out just fine for us. Kitchen is very nice and well stocked with all the tools you would need. We grilled one night and cooked the others. Walmart just a few minutes away as well as several restaurants. Bathroom is cozy, but still nice. Communication was great. They sent us a text to welcome us and provide pass code for door. Also followed up during the week and after our departure. Super easy to work with in our case.

The description of this property was spot on. Very clean and well stocked with essentials such as soap, shampoo, bathroom tissue and paper towels. The owners were easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to answer our questions. Without a doubt, we would stay here next time we are in Kansas City! One small heads up. We greatly appreciated the fact that kayaks were available but I mistakenly assumed the lake was on site. Watkins Mill was less than 10 minutes away but if we did not have a large vehicle we would not have been able to transport the kayaks.

PERFECT!

My sister and I met my cousin for a “Girls weekend” and we loved every minute spent at Sunset Haven! Super clean and so comfortable and relaxing! Kitchen has everything you need and the location is beautiful. I was concerned that I did not receive check in information until 3 days before we arrived but apparently that’s the policy and everything worked out fine. We came to Excelsior Springs to visit family and wanted to stay somewhere new and different. This property was exactly as described in the listing and our stay exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful stay. We were looking for a place with plenty of outdoor space, privacy and a comfortable, clean interior. This was everything we hoped for and more. The attention to detail in the home was fantastic. Everything was extremely clean and the kitchen had all sparkling new appliances. Spring break get-a-way

We had a wonderful stay. The weather didn't cooperate too well, but we enjoyed the quiet and peaceful get-a-way. Close enough to the bustle, but away from the traffic and craziness of the city. We appreciate Ron and Cindy allowing us to check in a day early on short notice. Excellent people to work with. We will be back when this covid-19 problem is under control.
