The Harbor Hideaway - Ocean Front - Private - Port Mouton

This cozy ocean front cottage sits on two private acres and boasts spectacular views! Watch the fishing boats come and go from the harbour or stroll the path down to explore the ocean front. For those looking to get out, there are several options, including Carters Beach and Summerville Beach, only a ten minute drive away. A little further and you can be hiking Keji Seaside National Park or enjoying a round of golf at renowned White Point Resort.
The Roku TV has Prime and Netflix and in loft a TV with DVD player with selection of DVD's. Screened room, deck, propane BBQ and different seating areas around the property.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
Our house rules: not suitable for infants under 2, primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.
The layout of this cottage with the loft accessed by ladder may not be suitable for younger children.

I(Pete)stay in the bunkie on the property often, if my grey F150 truck is at bunkie, good chance I am there. The bunkie is not visible from the cottage and privacy always respected.

You couldn't ask for a better place to experience Nova Scotia. The cottage was warm and inviting, the views were awesome and the place had all the amenities you need. Close to the beach and town, it was perfect for us.

A perfect place to be quiet and enjoy the scenery. Tons to do if you want to. Towns, shopping, beaches, local culture. I'd easily come back here for another stay, in fact, I'd stay another week if I could.

Incredibly peaceful, beautiful, and well appointed cottage on the sea. We loved watching for seals and taking in the natural beauty that surrounded us. Peaceful stay at Harbour Hideaway

Property is exactly as described! Everything we needed in a private, peaceful location. Coffee on the deck overlooking the ocean is a perfect place to watch the sunrise. We will return!

This place is a slice of heaven. Property is clean, has everything you need, a fantastic view and is nice and private. Host was great and a pleasure to deal with. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this spectacular property. The photos don’t even do justice to the utterly breathtaking view! We really loved this spot for the 3 nights that we stayed and enjoyed conversing with Pete, who was very responsive and great to work with. We travelled with our two kids (6 and 8 years old) and the loft was perfect for them. They loved having their own space. That being said, the ladder is quite a climb and would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues or younger kids. The kids loved beachcombing the rocky shore every morning and evening. The water front is completely private and it was a huge highlight of our stay to eat breakfast down on the rocks as the seals and porpoises swam by! The home was a great size, the property unbeatable, and the view was world class. We can’t wait to visit again!

Cosy and quiet spot

A very quiet and lovey spot to vacation. Close to several great beaches. Easy drive to Port Medway, Liverpool and Shelburne. Cottage is small but well equipped and a good size bathroom. The Loft ladder could be a challenge for anyone who has mobility or height issues. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed several meals and coffees on the deck watching boats and the seals. The host was pleasant and helpful and resides on the same property if any issues arise. Loved our visit and hope to return. Thank you Pete

Harbour Hideaway is a hit!

I stayed here Aug 20th - 27th, 2021 and it was wonderful. The cottage is small yet doesn’t feel that way. The views of the ocean are wonderful, loved sitting on the deck and listening to the waves. There are little paths around the property including one which takes you down to the shoreline. Pete the owner was quick to respond to any questions I had. Location is great, roughly 15-20mins to Liverpool for groceries and such and in 4-5 mins you can be at Carter’s or Summerville Beaches. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Lovely, secluded retreat

Beautiful sunrises over the water. This small, private cottage is very thoughtfully designed, and ideal for 1-2 people. I can't wait to go back. (Note to families - the ladder to the loft is steep and high, does not seem appropriate for small children.)

Great Quiet and Scenic Spot on the Southshore

Pete, the host, was so very accommodating and helpful and responded very quickly to all my questions. The cottage met all of our expectations and was close to the beach and other areas of interest in the area. Great time in a great location. You will not be disappointed.

Lovely well appointed cabin with a spectacular view. We thoroughly enjoyed our little get away. Cabin is small but with a very good layout with smart use of space and we were a party of 5 adults. Warm heat in flooring was wonderful . Great February holiday.

Hidden Gem

Had an amazing experience - the cabin is thoughtfully appointed with lots of nice touches. We enjoyed playing badminton, exploring the shoreline and relaxing on the deck enjoying the sunrise and the views. Many local attractions nearby by including hikes and beaches. We hope to come back!
