This modern two story penthouse is located in walking distance ( 7 to 10 minutes ) to the center to the Village/City Sarnen and or Train Station. As well as in walking distance to the lake of Sarnen (7 minutes). Great hiking in the area - many hikes can be started out of Sarnen. Several skiing resorts are in proximity; Melchsee-Frutt, Mörlialp, the Panoramawelt Lungern, and Engelberg are all reachable by car less than a hour, Melchsee-Frutt and Lungern in 20 to 30 minutes. Fantastic Restaurants in Town.

The Penthouse is great for families, for a longer business stay and as well to just hang out and relax and explore the center of Switzerland with your friend or family. Luzern, Mt. Pilatus base station Alpnach or Interlaken for Jungfraujoch are reachable comfortably by a direct train from Sarnen.

The Penthouse, which can be accessed conveniently directly through a elevator is equipped with a full size kitchen and fully furnished with everything needed for a short or long term stay.

Wonderful Penthouse and great location

Wonderful space. Plenty of room for six adults. Outdoor space was amazing with views of the lake and mountains. Super clean and nice furniture. Great location and walkable to the train station. One really good restaurant but others were limited. Easy to explore Lucerne and Pilatus. Also easy to get to the mountains around Interlaken.

Fantastic Hidden Gem

What a perfect relaxing, beautiful, convenient, super clean place! 5 of us stayed here for a week and it served as a great launch point for day trips - to Mt Pilatus, Lucerne, Bern, Lauterbrunnan, Gimmelwald and more. A short 10-minute pleasant walk through the neighborhood to the train station. Well maintained, spotless, and organized. Definitely recommend getting groceries and having dinner on the patio.

Amazing Penthouse with picturesque views

An amazing penthouse with superb view, tranquility and the most picturesque views of the snowcapped mountains. It is equipped with all the modern amenities that a family would need. Conveniently located closer to the bus station and only 10-12 min walk from Sarnen Bahnof. Thorought enjoyed the stay in Pnthouse Alpenblick and Sarnen. Thanks to the family for sharing a true gem.

Gorgeous and convenient flat

Our family met up for a week-long vacation in Sarnen. The flat was absolutely gorgeous with stunning views - everyone in our party was impressed. We were traveling with little ones and the flat was walking distance from playgrounds and an awesome camping resort with pools, water slides, restaurant and lake access. We walked to and from the train station on arrival and departure, which was great since we did not all arrive by car. Marcel was quick to respond to my questions and thorough in his answers. I would mention that the room of bunk beds is not ideally situated as it is separate from the rest of the flat. That being said, teenagers would absolutely love it. We also were disappointed to learn that one of the showers was out of commission, however we were able to work around it as there was a powder room and we could still use the sink/toilet in the downstairs bathroom. Overall we had an amazing time and would definitely recommend. If we had the chance to stay here again we would.

Swiss, spacious luxury in quaint town

My family and I fell in love with this penthouse apartment the second we opened the door and saw the 180° view of the surrounding mountains and Lake Sarnen. The apartment had a smart layout design and was equipped with all the appliances a family could want for a short visit. At one point, we were craving a cappuccino with frothy milk and it turned out, Marcel had a frother! There were dozens of other details like this that surprised us. Location was a good fit. First, the apartment is a short walk to the lake, town and a sporting venue with soccer fields, running tracks, and even a dock where row teams launched their long boats in the water. Marcel also gave us a solid list of grocery stores, restaurants, bakeries and other spots to visit in Sarnen. Second, the town of Sarnen was also nicely situated for day trips to Interlocken, Stanserhorn, Lucern, and other surrounding villages and towns. We also appreciated the modern amenities like the single press-of-a-button to open/close state of the art blinds that wrap around the building. The mountains greeted me every morning and was the last thing I saw before bed. Every window frame look like artwork. Marcel was amazing. VRBO screwed up big time by not informing him that I made the deposit a month earlier. Fortunately, the flat was still available and Marcel bent over backwards to make sure I have the keys and everything we needed. I’ll be returning.

Wunderschön

Das Penthaus ist noch schöner als beschrieben. Man hat sich von der ersten Sekunde wohl gefühlt. Der Vermieter war immer super Nett und hat immer ziemlich schnell auf email s geantwortet. Leider ist nur das mit dem Schlüssel für das Haus nicht so gut gelaufen. Aber am ende hat trotzdem alles gut geklappt. Ich würde gerne wieder hin fahren.

Absolutely wonderful

The property has a ridiculously gorgeous view of the surrounding alps and is located a brief walk from the train station and the center of Sarnen. Lucerne is a 20min train ride away (with a train every 15-30min), while Interlaken is 90min away (with a train every 30min). The lake is gorgeous and several playgrounds are nearby that are fantastic for kids age 2-9. The owners are wonderfully nice people and made the process super easy. The beds are great and the kitchen has all you need. The bathroom has an EPIC shower as well. Laundry is in the ground floor in a room that belongs to the apartment, so despite not being in the unit it isn’t an inconvenience. You can also leave the windows and deck doors open for a wonderful summer breeze that totally refreshes you! Would not hesitate to stay here again - give it a shot :)

Beautiful spacious penthouse with gorgeous views!

This home is in the perfect location with a short train ride to Lucerne or day trips to top Swiss attractions. The home itself is sparkling clean and has all of the amenities you will need for an extended stay. The kitchen is fully equipped for large parties and there were even toys for our kids to play with. The beds are comfortable and the views are stunning. Sarnen is a small little town with easy train access, a community pool and beautiful lake.
