Stillwater1028 is a perfect location for those families looking to have easy access to the base of Lone Peak for skiing, snowboarding, or hiking. In addition, for those people who are visiting Big Sky for a convention and are looking for a condo that is conveniently located in relationship to the Shoshone (Yellowstone Convention Center), look no further. Stillwater 1028 is just across the road from the Shoshone. After a long day of winter or summer activities you can relax in this spacious, one bedroom plus loft condominium. Located in the mountain village of Big Sky, this unit boasts spectacular views of Andesite Mountain, Spanish Peak, and a babbling brook just outside the back-door.

The master suite has a king-size bed with full four-piece bath. The spiral staircase will lead you to a loft bedroom with two double beds, and a full bathroom with shower. The unit comfortably sleeps six to seven adults with an comfortable large sofa in the living room.

The recently remodeled kitchen is fully functional with everyday utensils. A wood-burning fireplace and unlimited wood makes this condominium a cozy retreat for your perfect vacation.

Great, clean apartment for a few people that was well appointed and comfortable. Very easy walking access to the base area and lifts, which was a huge benefit. The owner was responsive to questions and easy to get in touch with. The only things to note are shampoo and soap are not provided (there is a market nearby to buy travel sized bottles and this is consistent with the listing, but it was a first for us in a VRBOand not something we realized until after we arrived), the WiFi login is on the side of the fridge (the WIFI note in VRBO is wrong) and there is no in unit laundry (it’s quarter operated and on a different level in the condo).

We heard the location was fantastic, that was correct. Three minute walk to the base lodge, Had two little boys and walked three minutes down the hill to the lake. Rented kayaks, and hang out there a fair amount.Maybe you’ll have to come back and stay in the winter, such a quick walk to the base. I recommended.

Great location-convenient to the lifts and mountain village. It was clean and well appointed with everything we needed for cooking our meals. The fire place was a great feature to use every day after skiing! Bill was an extremely responsive host. In short we loved our stay here!

Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Condo was so comfortable, clean and perfect location. Quiet and comfortable beds. Kitchen great for cooking, plenty of space for family of 4. Wonderful place for attending a conference at Big Sky!

We enjoyed the time a lot - it was a very short walk to the conference center at Big Sky resort while giving us the option of preparing meals instead of eating out every meal. The views and weather were lovely! This is a great place to come for skiing also. We would definitely rent here again if we return to Big Sky.

Three generation ski trip

We skied for three days. The location is great for skiing. We enjoyed coming back to the condo, lighting a fire in the fireplace and cooking a meal together. A very nice view of the mountain too.

We try not to decorate to make it "guest proof." We decorate the way we like it when we stay and trust our guest will respect the property. We have rented for over 10 years and (knock on wood) we have not had one issue of abuse with our guests. We are so happy you enjoyed it.

Perfect Ski Location!

Really awesome place! I can't say enough good things about the location and space. You could easily fit a family or a few couples. Communications were great - especially trying to find the condo since it's not accurate on Google! The host made sure we had everything we needed and didn't get lost!

Great place for enjoying Big Sky

Great place to stay in Big Sky for our family of four. The location is excellent for walking to to Big Sky resort - everyone was able to come and go as they pleased. It was a relaxing place to rest, recharge and refuel between all the different activities that the Big Sky area offers. Communication with Bill was easy and helpful.

We are a Minnesota family that enjoys the outdoors. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, while my wife grew up just outside of Toronto. We met in Dallas in 1988. We have two children and our goldendoodle Webster.

Why they chose this property

Skiing has been a part of our family's life for many years. We skied a variety of destination in the Rockies. In 2004 we took our first ski trip to Big Sky; six months later bought Stillwater 1028. We have grown as a family, developed and found new friendships with every trip to Stillwater 1028.

Stillwater 1028 has blessed us with the people we have met through our rentals. We have developed friends that live as close as 1/2 hour of our home in MN, and as far away as Germany. The relationships made are one of the many perks of owning this place.

What makes this property unique

When we were looking for a condo, I asked that we find a place where we will have views that will constantly remind us that we are in the most beautiful place in North America. When you travel long distances to go skiing, seeing the mountains every waking hour is extremely important; Andesite and Wilson Peaks are impossible to avoid while staying in this condo. This is truly our Heaven on Earth.
